I think we will too! Thinking a July or August 2017 Alaskan cruise!! I am so excited for this new rule!!So I was thinking that with the new 18 month rule for OBB that I wouldn't book while onboard this cruise, but now that they changed it to 24 months, I believe I will do an OBB for 2017 (of course, it will need to be a "dummy" one first until the 2017 dates come out). Anyone else going to book onboard this cruise for a future cruise?
We will be joining you guys on this cruise celebrating my 30th Birthday. This will be my 5th DCL cruise. We are DVC members & will also be celebrating our DS's first birthday the week before at my favorite, BWV with boardwalk view!
There will be 9 of us.
Me, Lisa, turning 30 at Castaway Cay. My DH Matt (36) & our DS Benjamin(1).
My Mom(65) & Dad(66) who are also DVC members & have sailed 3 DCL cruises.
My brother(31) who has sailed on one DCL cruise, sister-in-law(36) & nephews- one will be just shy of 4 & the other will have just turned 1- he's three weeks older than my DS.
We are looking forward to seeing Jamaica as none of us have ever been & that is where my sister-in-law's family is from. We are planning to take advantage of the nursery for our littlest guys so we can have some fun & enjoy dinner in peace. We also booked adjoining rooms for my brother & I's families so the kids can be put to sleep in their own beds & my parents can stay back with them so we can have some fun.
We are so excited! My heart will always be with the Magic since sailing a transatlantic on her, but the Fantasy has a lot to offer too...just hate how shady the adult only pool is.
Here we all are last year before the two new additions...

Can't wait!!
Hey everyone! My name is Kristie and I'm a self diagnosed Disney Addict. DH, DS (14) and I just got back from WDW and I am going through severe withdrawals. 77 and sunshine when we left, 33 and clouds when we got home to Michigan, 2 1/2 hours later. UGH! It won't get out of the 20s at home until the weekend. So, I thought it was a good time to start planning next year's vacation! I haven't been on a cruise in almost 17 years, so I'm really excited about this one. At the time of travel it will be myself, DH, DS (24), DS (16), DS (15) and DM. I'm hoping that all my DSs will enjoy this vacation. (They've never been on a cruise before.) We haven't booked yet, but this is the trip I have set my sights on. Right now I'm focusing on my research and trying to decide whether to book direct or go through a TA. It will be another 10 day or so before our travel dates open up for flights, then I can start monitoring prices there too.
A couple of questions I'm hoping to get answered:
TA or no TA?
How soon should we book?
Do prices fluctuate like airfare?
Can I use my DVA if I book through a TA?
How do I find out what the "themed" night will be? (pirate, tropical, etc.)
I've never planned a cruise before and I am definitely a planner, so if there is any advice or suggestions you can offer I'd be happy to hear them.
Hi all!
Just picked this cruise and going to get the tix after Thanksgiving break. We are DVC members and have been on two cruises, both on the Wonder. A 7 day one over Christmas in 2012 and the 14 dat Panama Canal in 2013. Love it SO much. We will be celebrating our newest additions 1st Birthday on the cruise and my parents will be joining us for their first Disney Cruise!
Can't wait to meet you all along the way with planning and onboard and oh how the kids love helping with the FE gifts
Casey and three Mouseketeers,
Chad 10, Noah 8, and Marilyn 3weeks
Hi everyone!!I was shocked to find this thread so full of fellow Disney fanatics!! We are super excited to join all of you on the Fantasy next year!!
I am Karen, and I will be sailing along with DH Craig, and our two boys- Alec (16) and Jake (11). Our daughter (who will be sophomore in college when we sail), will have to stay behind. (She isn't jazzed about that at all!! That's what she gets for growing up on us!)
This will be our second Disney cruise. My hubby and I have done one additional cruise with Royal Caribbean a LONG time ago, but this is our boys' second cruise ever. We did a 4 day on the Magic, along with 4 days at WDW in March for our daughter's graduation trip.
We are HUGE Disney fans! We are DVC members, and have annual passes as well, despite the fact we live 600 miles from WDW.We also run a small travel agency that specializes in Disney planning, which helps fund our addiction.
We would LOVE to join the fish extender group as well. We did this with our cruise on the Magic and enjoyed it. I will look for the FB group and ask to join!
Can't wait to meet you all! Perhaps sometime soon, I will have some spare time to read all of the posts, but with 9 pages worth....it will have to wait for now.![]()
Just got our cruise reserved and decided I should join this message board instead of stalking it like I've been doing for the last 6 months. Haha. It will be myself, my wife, and 3 children (ages 9, 7, and 5 at sail date). We're DVC members, but haven't been on a Disney cruise before (first cruise for ALL of the kids, actually). Decided to save a little by booking an oceanview room versus a verandah. Perhaps the kind folks at port will want to upgrade us at no charge. We hail from Raleigh, NC.
October 2015 seems like so far away now...![]()
This will be our 2nd cruise on the Fantasy. We rebooked while onboard in October. We're had such a wonderful time that we're doing the exact same cruise just one year later. Last cruise was just me (Brandi), DH (Matthew), and our 3 year old, Mason. Our next cruise will be me, DH, Mason (who will be 4!), and my mom. We're booked for a VGT since we loved our balcony last cruise.
