Day 5...The Last of the Surprises!
As we sailed along on the yacht, I had one last surprise in store. Before we had left the WL, I had told my boys that we would try and see if MK had any extra
MNSSHP tickets available. On the way to the GF, I had pretended to call MK

rotfl: ) and be told that all tickets were sold out. The mom of our friend's family had done the same thing (she thought the surprise today was going to be us surprising the kids with MNSSHP!). Devious, isn't it?!

In truth, both of us had purchased of family's tickets to MNSSHP months prior to the trip.
All of the kids were surprised and there were loud whoops of delight when we announced our evening plans included heading over to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. There were also amazed declarations of outrage that their parents had tricked them so completely.

Score one for all of the parents!! The kids thanked us, laughed and giggled the entire time they were busy changing into the outfits we had snuck on to the yacht.
At this point, all that was left was for us enjoy the rest of our cruise before a fun night of Halloween fun at the Magic Kingdom. So, we all kicked back and relaxed for another half an hour. We snacked on desserts, talked about how much fun our dream day had been, laughed at the fact that the kids had been so completely fooled!
Enter my final (and personal favorite) surprise. Instead of returning to the Grand Floridian and then catching the monorail over to MK (as everyone else on the yacht was expecting, we would be...

DOCKING AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM ITSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so giddy at the thought of arriving at the Magic Kingdom in the most magical of ways! For me, nothing short of Cinderella's pumpkin coach would have been a more magical way to arrive at the happiest place on earth! And I dare say that may not have been as stylish!
When everyone started to figure out that we were starting to pull into the Magic Kingdom versus return to the Grand Floridian some were stunned into silence, others started to jump up and down and I even saw the dd (dear dad) from our friend's family doing a little dance!
Arriving at the Magic Kingdom on the deck of a yacht after the wonderful day that had preceded it is the ultimate moment for me of the entire vacation. It was the most amazing of moments. We were all so happy. We were all so excited. I had been dreaming of this moment for months. It was just as magical as I had expected it to be! I was on cloud nine for sure!
As we approached we felt like Disney VIPs!
Looking back at the best place for a high seas dessert party!
Right after I snapped this picture, I heard
Goofy calling for me. He was petrified. Tons of people had turned to watch our arrival and were snapping pictures and taking video of us.

Sorry, it was only us and not the cast of Hannah Montana or something.

Seriously, so many people were watching us that it wigged
Snow White (the 14 year old daughter) out as well.
Aladdin was giving people half waves and half smiles.
Stitch and
Cinderella were waving huge arm flapping waves and shooting big toothy smiles at everyone.
Abu was ignoring them. Poor
Goofy and
Snow White were cringing at the attention. Our
Little Prince didn't seem to care either way. He was smiling the whole time. If someone caught his eye and smiled back, he got even smilier, otherwise he just took it all in. I thought it was so funny the very different ways that the different kids reacted to all of the unexpected attention.
I really hadn't thought about the attention that arriving at the Magic Kingdom aboard the Grand 1 would bring. Who would have imagined that it would cause such a fuss? I had only thought about how magical it would feel to do it.
The adults all played crowd blockers for
Goofy and
Snow White and let the other kids just fen for themselves (or enjoy the attention as some of them seemed to be doing). As we walked away from the dock, I heard someone telling their kids that we were from a Disney Channel show but they just couldn't place which one. I was laughing out loud at that thought!
Eventually people seemed to lose interest in us and we were able to head over toward the Magic Kingdom's front gates with no further fanfare.
Stitch and our
Little Prince had the coolest matching outfits thanks to my very dear friend and fellow DISer, MouseTriper. How cute are these Nightmare Before Christmas outfits?! Stitch was SO very happy to have his new baby brother dressed up to match him at MNSSHP!
Waiting while lockers were acquired to stash all of the party leftovers (not food, I had the cookies packed up in a Ziploc bag and the rest we had to leave what we didn't finish because the chocolate parts would have melted) we were toting along with us.
I absolutely adore this picture of Cinderella, Goofy and Stitch. Just look at how happy they are! By their faces alone, you can see how much fun we had all already had that day!
For me this day had started with a relaxing morning at the spa. Then the very tasty luncheon, Idaho Jones surprise arrival, the clues which led us on our adventure with Idaho throughout the grounds of the Grand Floridian, our special meeting with Mickey Mouse, a cruise on board the Grand 1, amazing Indiana Jones themed dessert party, and arriving at the Magic Kingdom on a yacht!!!! And I still had more to look forward to! This night would be spent with our dear family friends partying it up at MNSSHP! The part at MK was the cherry on top of an already incredible day!
UP NEXT: MNSSHP!
To be continued...
