Heads up- I just got RT from Detroit to Orlando for 166.00 on Spirit-my dates are 12/21-12/27. I have been looking for the past month and everything has been $280. and up-ouch. Just happened to check and I booked right away. i posted this over on the budget board, also. That just made my day-

That is a great rate - good for you. I paid $300 per person for February (taking a Disney cruise).

I wish I could go at Christmas!!!

Excellent. I got $133 rt out of Detroit but for earlier in the month (12-5 to 12-10). I think $166 is pretty good for Christmas time.

I also found a great rate out of DTW on Spirit. We are flying in July of 2005. Found RT tickets for $133. I was thrilled! Enjoy your Christmas trip!

We also booked our Easter trip with Spirit for $225 for DTW to MCO. We have been going at Easter for many years, and never had airfare that low. I have been watching the Spirit website since May. Fares started out at $475 and then dropped to $420. A couple weeks ago, I logged onto Spirit and the fares were $225 so I grabbed it. The next day Spirit had it back up to $420!!!

I posted a heads-up on Spirit a few days ago--we also booked for June and got the $133 r/t fare. I have NEVER had a fare this low to WDW on any airline, including Spirit!

I bought my tickets for our August trip yesterday through Spirit. I have never flown spirit before, but with a great rate like $133 I could not pass it up.

Anybody have any info on flying SPirit??

Just wanted to say thanks for this post. After I read it, I decided to check my return flight for February. It had gone down $120 for the four of us. I called Spirit and a very nice lady walked me through it over the phone so I could make the change on line. I received an e-mail with the voucher number in a matter of minutes. Now I have $120 to use for our trip to Fort Myers for a wedding in May. It's all good!
