160 extra Disney Rewards Points by asking...

Okay, I'm going to get flamed for saying this by some, but ...

I emailed chase about my disney rewards visa that I got a $40 credit by signing up online through disney.com. But that I saw some people got up to a $200 credit by signing up through other sources and that I did not appreciate knowing that my business was less valuable than others simply because of where they learned of their Disney Visa. Is their anything that can be done to address this?

Anyways, I received a credit for 160 rewards dollars, so they did end up giving me a credit for the difference between the $40 promotion I received and the $200 promotion others received. Now, I've also put $5k on the card in less than 45 days (paid off $4k of it already.) so perhaps that is having something to do with it?

I know people will tell me I'm taking advantage of the system or that I'm not entitled to a difference in the promotions, but I know others will want to know this is something they can try if they just got their card. I got mine in June.

I think that was a really great idea for you to write Chase and just ask about the higher promotion. Really glad to hear that they added the extra $160 for you. That is good customer service!

Count me in with getting nothing when I signed up. I did it for the 6 month free financing when you book a WDW trip using your VISA card.

I was given an extra 10 bonus points this month. Don't know why, I never signed up for any incentives. When I call to see if I get the x5, I'm always told no.

For the original card I applied for I had to different offers opened on my computer and filled out the application for the lower offer by mistake.
I called in and advise what I did. I got a letter in the mail saying that they could not do anything about it. So I got $25 instead of $40.

About 2 months ago we go the $200 offer mailed to us. Applied in DH and my names and we both got cards, so that is $400

Wow! That is great that they did for you. I signed up early 2008 and received nothing. But, that's ok. I got my first promotion code and I'm getting triple points on all purchases from July to September so I'm happy about that!

I charged $250,000 on my disney visa last yr and i didnt get any special treatment, the supervisor basically told me that because i always paid my bill in full it wouldn't matter if i cancelled my card.. made no sense seeing as how when I use the card they are still making off the merchant end.

How long have you had your DV? I have had mone since 2007 (signed up for the 0% for 6 months and got $10/10 point credit) Woudl love to get this offer.
