16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom Thread - Sad but true...we r hooked!

I have to admit, I do watch Teen Mom. I don't watch it regularly, but if I'm flipping thru the channels and I see it on, I do normally finish the episode. However last night, I did tune in for the whole show.

Anyone else annoyed that "Dr. Drew" danced around the subject of Farrah and how she treats her mom? I have a very hard time watching Farrah scream at her mom and whine about being entitled to go out and stay out all night because she is still a teenager. WHAT!?! You're a mom now. While that doesn't mean you shouldn't go out or get a break if you have that opportunity, it does mean that your mother is NOT responsible for your daughter everytime you want to go out. You are a teen mom...sacrifice is your new middle name!

You know, I'm watching it again right now because I only caught bits and pieces last night. At first I thought the exact same thing, I wanted Dr. Drew to give her a verbal smackdown and call her out. Watching it for the second time, you can tell he's firm with her and not siding with her, but he does it nicely. I think if he was harsh on her, she'd shut down and wouldn't open up anymore...it's a fine line he's walking with her.

The part with Farrah and her mom is very telling. He asks mom how many nights are acceptable to go out per week and she says one or two. Farrah immediately goes into brat mode and tries to get Dr. Drew to side with her, saying she only said one night. Dr. Drew said, no, you're wrong - she said two nights. It's like she has selective hearing (kinda like my dog, lol).

Truthfully, though, I think you could yell at her until you're blue in the face and it wouldn't have one iota of effect on her. She will still firmly believe that she's entitled to going out because she's a teenager.

I must say. As a teenager I absolutely detest this show. I'm sorry, but if I became a mom while still being a teen I'd get my *** whooped, not a tv show.

She said she "felt like she could be" - whatever that means. Dr. Drew broke out the poverty statistics for unwed teen moms and multiple children, I don't think she really cared.

I watched it last week and can't wait till next to hear the update. I "think" 2 are preggo again. The black hair and the one who gave the baby up. At least that is what they were hinting at.

Farrah is spoiled and if my DD I would have taken the baby and kicked her butt out, talking to me like that.

A little off topic, I heard on the news that Farrah mom was arrested and is being charged with hitting Farrah, Farrah mom said it was self defense.

It's Gary & (can't think of her name) that may be expecting. Gary says no but the girlfriend says she "feels like she did during her last pregnancy."

I think the couple who gave their baby up for adoption had a pregnancy scare but turned out not being.

Next week there is suppose to be unseen footage or something, then the following week new episodes of 16 & Pregnant.

I read the same thing. I think anyone who's watched the show can't help but side with the mom. (Not that violence of any sort is ever acceptable.)

Anyway, I only watched the first 20 or so minutes because I had to tend to my kids. But I saw that Amber thought she was pg and I about had a heart attack. She is such a mess now. Let's add another kid into it. Did anyone else notice how Leah is ALWAYS in her crib? What the hell? Take your kid out and play with her!

Thats what a woman does for her man especially when you arent working. She just made her life 10000 times more difficult. Her own family dont even want to be around her hmmm i wonder why!? Just finished watching last nights show.

I think someone just needs to tell Farrah straight out, you need to grow up. You decided to have sex, you got pregnant, life as you know it is over. I didn't hear about her Mom going to jail, very sad.

I hope Ryan realizes some day soon that he needs to be an active participant in Bentley's life before years go by and Bentley is calling someone else Daddy.

I understand Amber is stressed and depressed but she makes every small thing into full time drama. I really hope she is not pregnant again. She is so young and needs to be one on one with Leah.

I really like Catelynn and Tyler and hope they do get married someday in the distant future.

I started watching it when my DD was home from college. I missed it last night but they'll probably they'll re-air it.
The only ones I see with half a brain are Caitlyn and Tyler. Yes, her parents are crazy. I was glad she was able to move in with Tyler.
They knew they were too young to care for a child and wanted to give her a better life.
They are the only couple still together because they don't have the pressures of being a parent - nevermind an unwed teen parent.
