Jenelle's mother also said "the baby starts daycare soon" and Jenelle was happier than a pig in you know what....she said something like "Oh I just cant wait til then!"
Who says that with a newborn
I mean yes I understand women have to work and in her case go to school, but as a mom I would be so sad about leaving my newborn, not "thank God!"

USUALLY teen moms qualify for WIC, so formula is free. I'm sure as a teen mom she also qualifies for what we call around here Title 20 (reduced or free daycare for low income moms). So he mom, which caring for the child, might not be paying daycare.

I had a friend who had a baby at 15 and 3 weeks after she had the baby we were out at dance clubs haveing a blast while her mom watched baby.....anyway her mom did end up raseing the baby..

Hopefully he is better off staying in daycare, then being around the chaos and madness.

I totally agree he'd be better off but I wonder if she was forced to actually take care of him over time she'd change. Maybe not change but at least make some cahnges.

OP here: I just watched a rerun the other day and I didn't notice a part.

Jenelle took Jace with her after having a round with her mom. She said, she all ready had to give up her boyfriend, she wasn't going to give up her friends.? What? Last I saw, her rehab needing boyfriend dumped her. That isn't her giving up her boyfriend.

Janelle is way way way worse than farrah ever was. And this guy makes ryan look like a saint. The mom is completely insane (at least we know where janelle gets it!) There is nothing good in that house for that baby.

I was like WHAT!!! when I heard that.

On a side note- the editing on mtvs part is horrible. One second Janelles hair is blonde with brown roots and in the next scene its dark brown. Then it goes back to blonde with brown roots

I do have to agree with you about ryan though hahahahahaha!

Its easy to tell that this mom has never cared before what Janelle did at all, and now that she has a baby, she's trying to discipline where discipline has never been before. Like at jenelle's baby shower, when she told her to clean up jenelle said she was "way too tired" to clean, but not to tired to go out and party all night. and the mom let it happen. I know that you have to pick your battles, but the fact of the matter is Janelle is not an adult and if she leaves without the mothers permission, she should have to face the consequences (which there are none.)

And in the scenes with Jenelle's mom and dad, every time jenelle's dad tries to talk, the mom screeches over him.

Jenelle has no consequences for anything she has ever done. She had a baby- mom takes care of it, she makes a mess-mom cleans it up, she yells at her mother-mom doesn't do anything.

Her mom reminds me a lot of farrah's mom. She's let this kid run the house for years, and decides to set up boundaries now, and it doesn't work.

jenelle also seems very uneducated about birth control. She said she and (i can't remember the boyfriends name?) got in a fight, so she stopped taking it. ( ) and then they got back together and had sex, and didn't use a condom. Her thought process was later explained to be, "we had done it before, and i didn't get pregnant, so i didn't think i would get pregnant that time." she obviously doesn't understand that you're more likely to get pregnant at some times than at other times.

I really don't see this story ending well, and I feel bad for the baby, he didn't ask for this.

Ok I definitely did not even think about that side of it. true true true-to everything you said. I hope they do teen mom with this set of 16 year olds.

What really stuck out to me was how the Janelles mom wouldn't watch Jace and made Janelle take him with her. It was so refreshing to see that after watching Farrah's mom constantly watch sophia while Farrah was out partying/finding a boyfriend.

Well tonight's episode was just as annoying. Nikkole was doing a good job of waking up with Lyle. However, what makes these girls think the guy is just going to stay with them? As for Jason, even his mom was telling him to just shut up in the delivery room.

An ongoing theme seems to be happening with a few of these teen moms, they have ZERO self esteem. Seriously, a guy would tell me to get an abortion then think I am going back with him? Let alone jason calling NIkkoles friend the b word and she is just sitting there. WTH?Or be like Ryan-puke.

but i do agree with the baby's dad that this isn't about the mom/grandma. those 3 (parents and baby) are going to have to work something out. and nikkole's mom needs to at least try to accept that this is more about her daughter than herself right now.....her big concern seems to be whether nikkole puts her mom or her boyfriend (and baby's dad) first. and focusing on who knows nikkole better and who knows what she needs/wants, etc. i think the mom wouldn't want nikkole with the baby's dad even if he were perfect. weird.....

I agree, but both the boyfriend and the mom were argueing about this and I kept thinking "You both aren't the priority anymore." I do think that if the boyfriend had at least showed some compassion toward's Nicole then the mom would have backed off a bit, but it is apparent that he didn't even think about her at all and so why is Nikkole supposed to place HIM in a priority when he couldn't even think of her when she was in labor

As much as I wanted to slap Janelle last week...I wanted just as much to strangle that Josh last night...he was horrible! If my DD ever brought home a boy that treated her like that, I don't know what I'd do. I commend Nikkole's mom for not killing him in the labor room!

I didn't personally take the fight between the mother and Josh as a "who is more important" fight, at least on her mother's part because obviously the baby is number one. Josh is completely selfish and not to mention a criminal (arrested for larceny when she was 5 months pregnant) and cares more about himself that anyone else. I think her mother was just saying that she trumps him because she is financially raising this baby and sincerely has her daughter's best interest at heart. I really hope this show is teaching teens to be more choosy when they allow someone to come near them with their pants off.

What angered me the most was that while he would talk so much trash on her mother and friends, she would either make excuses for him or softly tell him to knock it off.It was like all he cared about was himself, he didn't even really care for the baby. He is Ryan 2x I hope she becomes stronger for her own sake. I also don't understand why she even let that jerk come back around her again when he freaked out at her for going to her own homecoming.

OMG! I watched last night and wanted to craw through the tv and smack some sense into that boy. I hope the girl watches her own show and sees, REALLY sees how he is and drops him forever. I doubt she will ever see a dime for child support BUT Thankfully her Mom is Great!

I thought last nights girl seemed so sweet and nurturing (and I loved that she played rock band with little bro! Not many teens seem interested in hanging with younger siblings). I thought her mom seemed great too, just trying to protect a daughter who seems like the sort of girl who doesn't stand up and protect herself. I just hope (like everyone else) that she see's that boy for what he really is, and gets enough fight in her to tell him off! He's horrible!!! Like a 2 year old in a teenagers body. His poor mom seemed like she was really trying too. I loved how supportive she was of Nicole and the baby.
