I just LOVED your opening thought on this update. How DO we keep going and going and going when we're at WDW?! I truly believe it's magic.. truly!!pixiedust:

I also loved those tye-dyed Mickey shirts! Whereever did you get those?! Something's telling me you probably made them, knowing how crafty your family is!!

Ready for the next day....popcorn::

Those Kona food shots...OH MY GOODNESS, I have never wanted to print and eat a picture before!! :lmao: You brought back great memories!! Thanks Michelle!!

I am totally with you about the best times being those where talk and laughter fill the air and you just enjoy being with those you love.

Hearing about your family's adventures always brings a smile to my face! I cannot wait for more!! Reading your trip report is a great escape from the stress of life! THANKS FOR THE GREAT READ!!:wizard:

I just had to wipe drool off my keyboard from those Kona pictures!

I am hearing so many great things about Kona! I think we will try and get over there for breakfast one day. Will we need ressies for breakfast?

Yum!! Those Kona pictures look fabulous! We had always loved Kona for breakfast, but on our last day this trip we got a last-minute ADR for lunch and I was blown away! It was wonderful, and we'll be spending more time there in the future!;)

What a long first day you had! There is something about being at WDW that gives us all an extra dose of energy. Your reports SO make me want to plan another trip right now!! :goodvibes

I love the crab cakes, but everything really looks so good. We have ADR's at Kona before our MVMCP on the 12th, just 6 more days to WDW..........Can't wait. Let me know if you have any MVMCP tips, this will be our 1st time at that party. We have been to many MNSSHPs and one P&P party, so feel free to share.

What IS it about WDW that keeps you going?! :confused3 I wish I could bottle it! :thumbsup2
It is amazing isn't it :goodvibes

They had an opening at 9:40pm - the very last seating. Perfect.
Wow I'm surprised you were all still awake after such an early start, but as you said above you're at WDW!

Yes, my friends, I ordered a Lapu Lapu in honor of the Great Lapu Fest of 2007. I'm a little late, but here's one to you, ladies! :drinking1 Someday I hope to toast you all in person. :grouphug:
Me too Michelle, hope you can make our 2008 meet

I can't explain what it is exactly that keeps me coming back, but I never get tired of spending these amazing vacations with the people I love. Our best memories are of time like this, just relaxing and having a great time together. Talking and laughing, not caring what time it is or where we have to go... it really is magical to me...
Beautifully written Michelle :goodvibes

AWWW what a sweet update! Yeah, even a bad Disney day is still magical.:goodvibes

:goodvibes How the heck are you still going after being up at 4 am and drinking 2 Lapus! :worship: you go girl!

Those Kona dinners look awesome, you are making me hungry and I just ate!

Can't wait to hear about day 2!

We must have looked liked drowned rats, because when we walked into the Contemporary, all of the CM's looked up from the front desk at the same time.
:lmao:
I knew what I had to do the minute I thought of going to Kona for dinner... Yes, my friends, I ordered a Lapu Lapu in honor of the Great Lapu Fest of 2007. I'm a little late, but here's one to you, ladies! :drinking1 Someday I hope to toast you all in person. :grouphug:

Salude, my friend! :goodvibes

...and the Lump Crab Cakes - Pan seared lump crab cakes served with Asian tartar and pineapple relish. We fought for these! LOL! :lmao:

Those crab cakes are YUMMY!!!

It was a red meat kinda night, so half of us got the Char-Crusted Filet Mignon - Served with mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, asparagus, and a 5-spiced mushroom sauce.

That is one of the best Filets in WDW, IMO. :thumbsup2

I, of course, got another Lapu! :goodvibes

You go, girl! :woohoo:

Who will be at DIS Meet #2?! You'll find out next time...

Are we still on Day 1?! Sheesh! What a day! :faint: If I were at home, I'd be kicking back in my bumble chair (heat & massage La-Z-Boy), wrapped up in a blanket, watching TV. (House, Ugly Betty, Grey's, FoodTV, etc.) What IS it about WDW that keeps you going?! :confused3 I wish I could bottle it! :thumbsup2
Take care,
Michelle

Thanks for another wonderful update! I ask myself this question all the time...why do I always want to go back to WDW? How do I never tire of being there? I can't explain it but I really wish I could so I could explain it to those people who think I'm crazy for going at all...much less multiple times a year. As we speak I'm trying to figure out a way to take a longer WDW vacation in the spring to celebrate me finishing up my Master's. Typically we have only been taking long weekends to WDW, but I'm itching to do at least 5 nights in the world and hit all those things we never have time to get around to on quickie trips.

Anyway, sorry for taking over your report with my ramblings. I cannot wait to hear about the DIS meet and the rest of your trip!

Koa looked great! We are heading to the Polnesian in January and it was not on our list. May have to rethink that...... Never enough time!!!!

I know what you mean! I seem to have much more energy when we're there :confused3

Amazing what a little food will do :)

We got back to the room a little before midnight and we all just crashed. Those beds are so comfy! I was zoned within a few minutes. Luckily, Steve remembered to set up the wake-up call. We had another DIS Meet set for the morning at the Poly before our breakfast at Kona...

I'm anxious to read about your second DIS meet :woohoo:

As always, your trip reports are fantastic! I'm lovin' those food pics at Kona. My mouth was watering at the crab cakes and filet! Kona will be on my list for my next WDW vacation!

There must be something in that Disney air that makes us keep going and not get tired. Who needs to sleep while on vacation...you can sleep at home right?!

I've never been to Kona but I think now I may have to make a ressie there for May. The food looks delish :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about day 2!!

I'm as far as your video and Germany's F&W. Actually, it's a good video. It gives me a good perspective of the view I'll never get to see ...

And I'm thinking none of those booths looked any good for me. Oh well, I'll be reading more later ...

That's weird you mention that. On vacation we just keep on going also. Like an Energizer Bunny. :)

I can't believe you are still on Day 1 AND you are still moving after being up so long!!!! :sad2: How do you do it?!?

Your dinner looked delicious and the Lapu always looks good! Hope you enjoyed both of them!!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the second meet! I am definitely going to Kona for breakfast while there next week! Tonga Toast...here I come!!!

Are we still on Day 1?!
Seriously, DAY 1??? Michelle, you've done more in one day than I often manage in a week! :cool1:

He checked the computer and said No. :sad1: I made him check again. It was still No.
Did he power down and restart? Hey, it works for Windows! :rotfl:

I knew what I had to do the minute I thought of going to Kona for dinner... Yes, my friends, I ordered a Lapu Lapu in honor of the Great Lapu Fest of 2007.
Yay! :cloud9:

I, of course, got another Lapu! :goodvibes

Well said, well said.

Those beds are so comfy!
Aren't they amazing? My favorite on property. I think it's the duvet covers that put them a step or two ahead. ::yes::
