Good morning!
Yesterday was a great day! I had another 100% on point day, which I'm in shock of myself! LOL! I will have another OP day today and want to get into this pattern, as the "feed the teachers as we welcome them back to work" extravaganza will begin next Monday. Of course, I always appreciate the back to school luncheons and whatnot, but it's not always the healthiest food.
For the past two days, I've been trying to make some of my favorite foods healthier. I had chicken fajitas last night (I love them!) and my dad helped me grill the chicken. I bought pinto beans combined them with sour cream and put that on my whole wheat tortilla. I topped it with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and black olives. It was wonderful! I did put some chili powder on, but I think I needed more...I do like a little kick with my fajitas.
Oh, and someone said something about peanut butter. (Wow, that is a wonderfully correct statement...lol!) According to my nutritionist, peanut butter is actually ok to have in moderation. It's one of the two healthy fats and a typical serving size (for one fat) is 2 teaspoons. Personally, I buy the organic peanut butter (at my local grocery store). I don't eat a ton of organic stuff, but I do indulge on a few items. This peanut butter is literally peanuts and salt...that's it! So, the peanut butter needs to be refrigerated because there are no preservatives. Honestly, though, it's lasts for a very, very long time. I personally love the taste...picture excellent roasted peanuts with none of the other junk...so good! The brand I enjoy is Arrowhead Mills.
Maria - Thanks for the kudos on eating out! It was hard to make a choice at first, but I really tried to listen to my body! Oh, and I can't change everything at the same time either. Personally, I've been working on eating right all this week...I'll add more exercise next week. I can't do both well at first!
Nikki - Nice to see you again over here on WISH!

Thanks for the info. on the wheat pasta. I tried it one time and didn't like it, but I usually give things another chance...I'll have to look for that brand in the store next time!
Tara - Good for you for making an excellent food substitution choice! It seems so trivial to those who aren't in this health battle, but I know how hard it is to make a decision like that sometimes! Yeah!

Love the exercise video for Debra, but if it involves anyone hot like Brad Pitt...I'll just be standing there drooling!
Debra - Same to you...I'm proud of you for staying away from BK! (Although I will admit that I love their food!) It's hard to make a decision like that so awesome job!

And, I hate exercise, too!
Regina - Good for you for getting back on board! You can do it!

I have been to the sand dunes in Michigan myself. My sister and I had a great time there with our parents! Lots of fun!
Kathy - It's so great to hear from you! Please take it slow...we don't want you to get hurt!

I think you said it exactly right...get one thing down and then move onto the next. I'm the same way! I can't do too much at one time!
Tiger - It sounds like you have some great moves planned for today! Awesome! You will be burning calories like crazy!

I'm so jealous of your upcoming Disney trip! Want to pack me in your suitcase?
Linda - Have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to hear all about it when you return!
Have a fabulous day!
