Never been to Hueston Woods...but I am in the MidWest!

:thewave: North Baltimore, Ohio and Proud of It! :thewave:

Hi

I live in a northern suburb of Chicago so Kings Island and Cedar Point are not that close. Have never been to either one - DD20 is the only true roller coaster person in this family. They got me on Rock and Roller Coaster at MGM by forgetting to tell me that it goes upside down :scared1: :faint: I have done them all at WDW and will try Soarin when we go next month.....usually my stomach flies in a different direction from the ride. :rotfl2:

Debra - BUT I have been to Hueston Woods!!!! Not camping but have stayed in the lodge. Nice Place!! We were there back in the skating days of yonder for a competition at Miami of Ohio. Have fun hiking!! :jumping1: Won't it be hot in the woods.......and humid :upsidedow

Have a Magical Disney Day!! ::MickeyMo

Linda! I'm with you...let's count those calories!!! I weighed today and somehow the scale said 180.8!!! That's a 4 pound gain in 6 days! And 3 of those days was perfect losing eating...3 of the days were very good eating with a single piece of birthday cake each day...I'll just not be able to figure it out...but I know there's no way I could even managed to gain 2 pounds much less 4! So I'm flushing my body with water today....I did have about 2 diet cokes a day while in Memphis but come on!

Oh, yes I remember that song...here's a stanza very few have heard...

Put on my new balance,
And I walked down Main
Touched down in a pasture of cow patties,
In the middle of the pouring rain.

Oprah's boot camp, won't you look down over me?
Yeah, I got my feet moving
But I'm as heavy as I was before?

Then I'm walking in Memphis,
Was walking with my feet on the side of the road,
Walking in Memphis
Trying to unpack some of my load.

Saw the ghost of Fergie
On Union Avenue
Followed her up to the gates of Weight Watchers,
Then I watched her walk right through
Now security did not see her
stop by the Krispy Kreme
But there's a pretty little donut
Waiting for the queen
Down in the snack room

Them I'm walking in Memphis,
Was walking with my feet on the side of the road
Walking in Memphis
Trying to unpack some of my load.

Ahh...the memories...now where's my 65 pound clippie???? UGH!!!!

Tara

Yeah, I'm walking in Memphis! Walking with my feet two feet off of Beale....
Walking in Memphis, eating cake at every meal.
Put on my new balance,
Charted four miles

Tara - START GUZZLING that water!!!!!! Sing a chorus inbetween each glass!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Jen - I hope you had fun at CP, we try and go that at least once a month. Did you ride any roller costers? With small kids, I am lucky to get to ride 1 a trip, and only if my SIL goes and offers to watch them. CP is about 2 hours from us.

Debra - Have fun camping, what kind of RV do you have? I love to camp, especially when we don't plan anything and just hang at the campground.

Today is off to a rough start for me, I was up most of the night with an earache. I guess if things aren't better by tomorrow, I will have to call my doctor and see about an appointment.

I am doing well with the diet, and am working on getting my water in.

Regina

I rode many coasters...but lines were LONG! I did get on the Raptor though...the Woodstock Express is always fun! I  spending time in Camp Snoopy...reminds me of when I was a little anklebiter.

Linda-Might have to try that drink and sing thing...I need to practice a few songs!

We have a Coleman Pop up camper. I like just hanging out too. The only thing that is a must for DH is that he wants to go sailing (main reason we picked this campground).

Hope your ear is feeling better.

Hi!

It's just another day in paradise...not exactly, but the humidity is down, so it's bearable!

I am just too ashamed to list everything I ate last night. TOM showed us this morning, 'nuff said. Maybe now I can get back on track. It seems to be very slow for me to put everything back together. I'm just sort of posting here lately, I need to get back into a losing mode.

Work is crazy. My boss is about to go on a two week vacation, and the tasks are coming fast a furious.

I've been making more Disney plans! I went online and booked all our goodies for the cruise, and called and reserved Magic Express for the trip to the World. Hopefully we'll get our tags when we're supposed to...

Jen! It is great to hear from you again. I try to always go into Borders with a coupon. It's not so bad that way. Glad you had a fabulous time!

Debra! As always, you are my hero. It is so hard to make this work, and you are a champ. I'm not in the Midwest, but I used to be. I spent all of my formative years in the suburbs of St. Louis.

Linda! It sounds like you have been very busy, and with lots going on for your family. You are very brave, I don't have the guts to keep track of my calories...

Duck! Good for you for getting moving!

Tara! I love the song. You've got a prayer in Memphis!

Regina! I hope you're feeling better.

Anyone I Missed! Thanks for being part of our community, everybody adds something special!

I see you are going to Beach Club and the Wonder! That is what we are doing in March 2006 for spring break! We just LOVE Beach Club. Actually, I really like Wilderness Lodge too, but the walk to Epcot from Beach Club is great! We bought into DVC when they were selling Beach Club, so that is our home resort.

Wish I could come along! March seems SO far away!

I know what you mean, I'm 34 days out and it seems like an eternity!

This is our first onsite stay. My dh insisted on a verandah on the cruise, so we had a choice of deluxe hotels. DH refused to stay at the Poly because "they probably put pineapple in all the food", and the AK because "I don't want all those animals looking at me". So, we're at the BC. I should point out that he said those things tongue in cheek, but I do love repeating them.

I'm very excited, and starting to think about seriously packing. Is there anything you would recommend that I probably wouldn't think of?

Thanks for any advice!

Hey everyone! Long time no see:) Well I am still stuck at 6 lbs :( Frustrating, but dh says I am building muscle. That is going to get old really fast. I want to see the scale go donw :sad2: Anyway, we are just planning for our January trip. I saw we, but it really is just me! One night at VWl and 5 at POP. Starting out with the 1/2 marathon and eating all week :p Can't wait for our anniverary dinner at Narcoosees :love2: Hope everyone is doing great and keep up the hard work!

I would recommend going over to the cruise board and just reading some of the tips they offer. I have learned SO much from them, and it is a very active and friendly board.

We all bought laynards to keep our KTTW in on the ship. You can get cheaper ones at Walmart (but to be honest, we like our cruise ones, and we take them over and over again). I have never had a verandah, but I am sure they are very nice. We try to go once a year, but we go in a Cat. 11 or 10.

You will love Beach Club! You can walk right over to the International Gateway at Epcot and go in through there. We have walked t MGM also, but it is a bit far (the boats will take you there).

I like to take a highlighter for the cruise to mark the things we want to do in the Navigator (the daily list of activities they leave for you each night).

OH! One thing I would recommend that I didn't do on our first cruise. On the last night you put your bags out in the hall for them to take away. Then the next morning you go to breakfast and you carry off anything you have left. WELL, I had to use a plastic bag from the store becaue I didn't bring a carry on type bag. Now I pack a couple of tote bags (there is always more stuff left than I realize).

Good morning fellow losers. :wave2: :wave2:

Hope everyone has a great day. Try to stay cool if you are in an area with high humidity. It is supposed to be in the low 90's here today with the humidity level rising. ::yes:: ::yes::

Good Morning!! :sunny:

Chicago area will be hitting 100 degrees on Sunday with a heat index of a 110!!

Did very well yesterday until dinner last night............ :sad1: which I knew I could blow BUT am not going to beat myself up about it and just let it roll off my back.

Okay, really am going to count calories today...yesterday was fine until I made some homemade sourdough bread...had about 3 pieces of it...with butter! UGH! I've got loads to do before our next road trip Sunday...so that should keep me out of the fridge.

Agotta...wow! Sounds like a great anniversary dinner to look forward to! Just envision yourself 2-3 sizes smaller by that date! In fact, go pick out the outfit you'd like to wear for your anniversary dinner and hang it up so you see it each morning when you rise! You'll look and feel GREAT!

Kathy! Good to hear from you! Hope surgery is going to go well for you...it's miserable having something that just is a pain!

Linda...forget last night...let's start counting TODAY!!! Let's make sure we never go over 1500 calories a day! That will keep us honest! :)

Debra! Oooh, all that cruise talk is making me want to take one! I'd love to leave RIGHT NOW! :)

Worfiedoodles...keep a detailed report!!! I bet you're going to have a GRAND time! :) And forget weighing around TOM it just leads to craziness! :)

TC2009...hang on for me...I'll be catching up to your 175!!! Nah, forget about hanging on...cruise down to the 160's and let me know how they feel! :)

Regina...hopefully that earache is better...but don't fool with those things...a ruptured eardrum can be bad news! Let us know!

Have about 8 loads of laundry to fold...working on my upper arm flab..then I've got a house to pick up..whew! I'll be burning some fat today!

Tara

Linda - Lynne gets home from Texas tonight. She has been ther since June 13 for officer basic training. She and Erin are heading to WDW from the 26 -30 to celebrate Erin's 19th birthday. They are both doing well.

My surgery is August 11. Am kinda looking forward to it. It will be forced time off and hopefully give my mind and body a chance to re-coop. Hopefully it will also lower my stress level even though I plan on starting work (at home) as soon as I can write and use my adding machine.:crazy:

Hope your family is doing fine.

Haven't been exercising consistently. Maybe next week when I am in the hotel by myself for the week. Traveling is getting old, but I have commiitted to do it untill the end of the year. WHat was I thinking??

Everyone - have a great day and remember to drink lots of water and stay hydrated in this heat and humidity.

Good afternoon!

I meant to make it on this morning, but work was too crazy. I usually sneak out by now, but not today.

Last night, again nothing to brag about. I didn't feel well, and didn't make good choices. Then later in the evening my dh and I had a spat about my lack of effort. He is absolutely right. It's not like I don't know I'm making poor choices, I just keep doing it. Anyway, he offered to have me join a gym and get a personal trainer. I don't really want to do that, but if I'm not on track in a few months, I may decide that's the way to go. I told him I want to quit WW, because I just don't seem to follow the program. But (and he's right), I do lose when I follow it. Aaaargh!

I do fine at work, it's once I'm home for the evening it all falls apart. I know if I can structure my time (and stop eating in bed), I will see a big improvement. I just need to get motivated to move in that direction. I may change my mind about WW, but I am absolutely not going tomorrow. I know if I do I will be plunged into a well of chocolate coated, fried grease despair, and that will not be good for anyone.

Anyway, I do better when I post here more often, so that's my new goal. Sorry if I'm going to drive anyone nuts! I tried to explain to my dh that I seem to need to do babysteps, but he just didn't see the correlation. He doesn't understand why I can't exercise, eat right, drink water, etc. all at once. The problem is that when I do, I burn out so fast. I think if I just tried to get one thing right at a time and then add others, I would do better, but he thinks I won't lose any weight that way.

Just where is that Fairy Godmother when you need her?!

I know, it's very simple. Fewer calories in that out. I get it mentally, but emotionally it just doesn't seem to be happening.

Sorry to be a downer. I am looking forward to getting my act together, I promise!

Maria! I feel your pain...we know WHAT to do, it's just getting it done that is tough...I think what works for me is making sure
1. I have the right foods in my fridge...it's when my lettuce is wilted and my carrots are limp that I go for the cheetos...or when my low carb snacks are all gone and I need a nibble...I go for a miniature reese cup. UGH!
2. Do my exercise early early in the morning...if I get my long walk done between 5:30-6:30...it does two things..I have it DONE for the day..so anything else that day is just bonus...and it makes me really tired at night so I'm usually in bed by 9:30 or 10:00 and miss those late night cravings.
3. Have a hobby...if I keep myself busy at night..I won't eat. I like scrapbooking...so organinizing pictures or thumbing through a catalog makes me keep my mind off of eating.
4. Pick one habit and make it....if it's not eating after 7pm...then for 3 weeks do not eat EVER after 7pm....there you've created a habit..then work on getting your exercise in...I can sometimes do it all at once...and do very well but it's easier for me to break the habit if I try to do them all at once.

Stay strong....keep posting here and you'll get a WISH adjustment and think like a loser...say to yourself...what did I do today that resembles someone who weighs 150 pounds? For me, it was drinking a big glass of water and eating tuna salad...what did I do today that resembles a 180 pound person? I had cheetos (baked albeit) and 3 miniature reese cups with my tuna salad....so the next day I try to cut out the latter....but if I'd had lettuce to go with my tuna salad I would not have bothered with the cheetos... :confused3

We can do this!!! Little steps mean great strides over time! :)
Tara

Maria Maria Maria!! :goodvibes

IT IS YOUR LUCKY DAY!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

YOUR FAIRY GODMOTHERS HAVE ARRIVED AND ARE WAITING TO SPRINKLE SOME PIXIE DUST!! ::yes:: ::yes:: :jumping1:

Now we can grant your WISHES but the MAGIC is really with YOU!!! :wizard:

(Wow!! That was pretty good even if I say so myself :rotfl2: I really believed what I was writing!!) :goodvibes ;)

SO lets start with one wish at a time. Tara said it best one habit at a time. I disagree with your DH on this one. It has taken all of us a long time to get to this point and will take a while to get to where we want to be BUT we WILL DO THIS TOGETHER!! :grouphug:

What is the first wish to be granted......hmmmmmmmmm how about looking at giving you something to do in the evening. I know that when I have to wait for DD17 to come home the evil munchies attack me about 10:30 at night..... :scared1: I run but I can't always hide :rotfl2:

Tara mentioned that she scrapbooks - I have returned to knitting. Something to keep my hands busy. And if that doesn't work then I turn to the computer and start posting away on any Disthread I can find ::yes:: Do you have any hobbies or anything that you think you want to try? Not reading - too easy to hold the book in one hand and eat out of the other. Believe me I am a pro at that one

What are your interests - knitting, scrapbooking, cross stitch, needlework, painting, ceramics etc all of these require that your hands stay clean - NO FOOD :bounce:

If you can find something that interests you than the cutoff time for no food at night will be that much easier. I am still struggling with the no eating after 8:00pm (been going out waaaaaay too much at night) but I WON"T GIVE UP and neither will you.

If you need some one on one you can always pm me or any one of us. Believe me this group will never let you down......they didn't when I hit rock bottom with DD17 this past spring.

Let us know how you are doing and what you think........if need be we will come up with more ideas RIGHT GROUP!! :jumping1:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda (a fairy godmother :flower3: )
