Just checking in, I have been working on getting back on track after the past week. Today I did fairly well with eating, and I did 20 min. on the eliptical machine. For now everyone here is on the mend and doing well, DS2 has a nasty bruise on his head, but other than that no lasting effects from the fall.

Christy - I hope your sons are doing better. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I can only imagine how scary that must have been to watch your sons sieze for that long. My DS2 has had 3 febrile siezures but his longest was 7.5 min.

Regina

Hey Losers!

It's been a crazy week and I haven't had much time on the computer. Looks like everyone is staying on track.

Tera - I'm right beside you. I saw 167 today when I took a mid week peek at the scale. I love crossing me legs too!

Christy - My DS(4) has given me a couple of good scares in his life but nothing like what you have been through. I'm sending you a :grouphug: And my prayers.

Welcome FlipperJen - Wow! A trip to Disney from Alaska! What a great goal to loose the pounds too. The first thing my DH and I did when we decided on our trip in September was to set our Disney trip weight. Good luck and we will be cheering you on! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Tara - What can we do to get that house sold?! Once you sell that house you will so deserve a trip to Disney and the YC is so beautiful. Have you ever watched those shows on HGTV or TLC that go into a house that is for sale and they show you little things that you can change to make the house appealing to sell? Just an idea.

I have been staying on track. Eating good and avoiding my DD girlscout cookies that arrived last week. :sad2: Took my Sunday day of rest and got back at it on Monday. I'm having a hard time increasing my time on the TM by 2 min each week. I did get up to 36 min but I'm really increasing my speed and sometimes I just can't stay on any longer. I'm trying and that counts for something.
Lets keep sweatin and drinkin! :cheer2: :cheer2:
Tracy

I just wanted to say thank you for the huge welcome it has done wonders to keep me on track this week!! Yes from Alaska to Disney..I can't wait. There is still snow on the ground here and we probably won't get rid of it all until April..ughh..I need sunshine..so I can't wait its going to be fabulous...and I'm with you time to set the goal and get to it

Having a great time being a loser!
flipperJEN

Good morning!!!

Tracy I noticed that when I wanted to increase my time on the treddie, I kept a little slower pace(4 mph) and thenvincreased it graudually. Try to concentrate on getting into a rhythm and also on your breathing!

Good morning everyone.

Haven't done so well the last 2 days with eating, water or exercise (being out of town for the funeral thru me off). But today is a new day and I will get back on track.

I got the consulting job down on Long Island starting next week. I plan to utilize the hotel fitness center for cardio and take stretch cords for resistance training. It will give me something to do in teh evenings beside stare at 4 walls and write up reports.

Onward and Downward

Morning Team (Sisters Losers ;)

Well I have my once a month cold (this has been going on since Dec) whether I want it or not!! Believe it is NOT:(:( So tired of getting a cold every 3 or 4 weeks. Been subbing for over 5 years and this has been the worst. It is interesting that this is the first year subbing that I have been in a lot of primary grades - more so than usual. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Chop my head off :rotfl: :rotfl: Gee I wonder how much the scale would go down :rotfl2:

We are expecting snow AGAIN - just an inch but snow none the less. This is the last weekend of DD 17 high school musical and she has a cold also. Three days to get through.

Leaving for WDW next Wednesday - girls time alone - DH is staying home to earn the money we will be spending :cool1:

Only exercised 30 minutes yesterday - no fitness center :sad2: After dealing with the 2nd graders I had NO ENERGY. They admitted yesterday that they are acting out because there is a sub. I have done more reprimanding in this room than I have in a loooooooooooong time. They just don't listen and don't shut their mouths:):) Cute but draining.

Kathy - you had a hard couple of days. Shake them off and starting moving downward again. Hope the hotel has a nice fitness center

Sarahsmom - Love waking up to your good mornings. It is about 6am here and you always seem to be one of the first ones on in the morning. So good morning back to you :sunny:

FlipperJen - Where in Alaska are you? Have never been there but here it is beautiful.

Tracy - You are doing so well - Keep moving!!  Right with you holding at 167 looking for 166:)

Christy - How is it going with the family? Any new developments?

Tara - still holding good wishes :wizard: that your house will be sold soon. Hang in there - it is probably one of the worst experiences to go through.

Well ladies - back to the drawing board or in my case the chalkboard :rotfl: Taking the day off from exercise until I can get my head to stop sloshing :rotfl:

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Tracy-I love those shows on getting your house sold and for more money. I'm not even planning on moving anytime soon, but I love 'em!
And I agree that if you are looking to build your time, you can't worry about speed/distance. GL with that! :flower:

flipperJen that is so cool! We'll still probably have snow on the ground here in NY till MAY-j/k! :cold:

NYcpa-congrats on getting the job! I think it is great to you are planning ahead so you can stay OP. I remember those extended hotel stays when I was doing consulting work and I also remember being so lazy and eating terribly. Having a plan like yours will make all the difference! :)

Linda-I hope your cold is better soon! Those little tykes with their germs..love the kid, hate the cold, lol! Now that they have owned up to their bad behavior, lets hope it changes for the better! :)

I weighed myself again today and am seeing a lower number, I hope it is going to stay consistent for a few days (I usually wait at least 2-3 days before I really believe the scale!). I have my "weigh-out" for the Discovery Health National Body Challenge this weekend and hope to get to a 25 pounds loss for the program's 8 weeks. I'll be going to the Discovery Store at the local mall where I weighed in when it started and they have already told me (based on the online weight recorder) that they want me there at a specific time because they want to film a short segment with some people who have really succeeded during the Challenge. I'm so nervous and psyched at the same time-it is killing me!

Hope everyone has a terrific day!

Hello My name is Linda and I am a Scale Addict ;)

Always telling myself not to get on but I did ------------ and-------- I am down another pound!! 166.5!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Like Karen I don't trust it until I see it for a few days - but at least I know the scale will move downward!!

So Happy!! Could not be doing this without your support :grouphug:

THANKS!! :flower: :sunny: :flower: :sunny:

Tara - A special HUGE thank you for you :love2: You started this thread and brought these wonderful people together. THANKS!! You also gave me the inspiration to stick with the food changes and FINALLY I am seeing results.

This team is the BEST!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Off to deal with the 2nd graders 1 pound lighter!!

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Linda

GOOOOD MOOORRNNIIIINGGG!!! I haven't weighed in yet...feeling a little bloaty...all week I've been up a .5 pound even with all my long walks this weekend and all the workouts...TOM came on Monday so...ugh! But I'll get in there in a minute. Now on to the CHEERING!!! :)

Regina!! 20 minutes on elliptical is GREAT!!! That really gets all the muscles burning!!! MELT FAT MELT!!!! :) Glad to hear your sweeties are doing better!

Tracy!! First...GREAT JOB on avoiding girl scout cookies!!! I put those suckers in the freezer and it seems to help me from just grabbing any...I've had 10 boxes in my house and haven't had a single cookie...3 more boxes left! :) Keep working on the treadmill...when I have done 60 minute workouts...I found I have to take a 5 minute break halfway to drink water and just stretch my legs out...then I just try to make it through...I also have to lower my speed...but I keep moving....and try bursts....do 5 minutes at a higher speed and cut down for 5 minutes...it makes the time faster thinking of resting for those bursts...I can't do anything faster than 4.0 right now..that's my top speed so I ADMIRE all you speed walkers!! :)
And, this house will sell..the comments are all "lovely, immacutlate home..." the only negative we've heard is that we do not have a hearth room and we're a corner lot...all the new homes have hearth rooms and we've had about 8 couples seriously deciding between ours and new over the last year and they always opted new...but with spring prices...the new ones are 50k more...so it should sell in the next two weeks!! We've had 80% of our stuff packed in boxes in our 3rd garage so it's nice and uncluttered...gotta sell!!! :) I took a lot of hints from those shows!!! :) I've got nice pansies growing and everything is sparkling! :) SELL! :)

FlipperJEN!! When are you going in May??? It'd be cool to see a WISH'er there!! We'll be there May 16-22...if the house sells :rolleyes1 Let's get you to the 160's by then!!! I bet you can do it!!! :) Great weather then, too!! :)

Jen...you are an inspiration to me on that treadmill!!! I wish we could work out together...I know I'd push myself farther seeing your speed!! :)

Kathy...I hope your grandmother's funeral went well...something about funeral's even when the dear loved one had a long life just make your world stop for a moment. A couple of days of eating not so hot will not have a dent when it tries to overcome all the hard work you've put in!!! Just let them pass and have some good days flushing down lots of water and you'll be on your way!!!! :grouphug:

Linda! :umbrella: Sending you protection from all those little germs!! My good friend is an elementary PE teacher and she has had it just like you! It's so hard to make it through the winter as a teacher untouched by colds! Drink your fluids and you're doing GREAT plugging through all these colds!!! :)
Just a pound at a time ya know...these colds won't keep you from getting those off!! :)

welovedis!!! You are doing GREAT!!! I HOPE we see you on the Discovery CHALLENGE SUCCESS STORIES!!! :cheer2: That would be sooo cool!!!! And don't you feel GREAT!!!! Can't wait to see what that lower number shows!!! :) You're motivating me to kick it this last week of the Discovery challenge!!! It's hard to believe it's been 8 weeks!!!! :)

Off to weigh!! I hope I atleast maintained..if I see that .5 pound up I'll need to borrow someone's weight basher!!!

Tara

My goal is to reach 150. I have 80lbs to go, but I know I can do it! It would be nice to lose a little more than that but I am being realistic and doing one step at a time. Count me in! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Linda!!! WOOO HOOO!!!! I did a quick reply...so I can't add all the smilies...but please imagine 50 bouncing smilies here! :) That number looks GREAT!!!! I can't wait to see that number!!! :) YAHOOOOOO!!!! Go knock the socks off those little guys today...they'll be stunned by your radiance they'll just sit quietly in awe...no rowdy kids today! :)

Lesli54!!! WELCOME!!!!! You are not alone!!! and you may have 80 pounds to get to 150...but only 71 to get to the 150's!!! There does that make you feel better??? We celebrate at 159! :) And we celebrate every loss until then...there are several on here that have lost 80 or need to lose as much so know that you're in good company and we'll get healthy and fit together!!! :) Reading past posts you'll find some mantra's that may encourage you...we flush the fat away with lots of water...we keep our bodies moving...and we choose good foods to give us energy....share any tips or changes you've made and let us know how you're doing!!!! :) WELCOME!!!!

Well, I SOCKED it to TOM!!! I have NEVER lost an ounce the week of TOM...I usually just try to write that week off...but I managed to lose a half pound and weighed in at 187.5!!! I really hope I have a whoosh next week and can send him off in style! :) Let's keep our heads high and our choices wise this week! :)

Tara

First of all Tara you ROCK!!! I'm just beginning my morning and after doing some last minute homework the first thing I do is come on here and get inspired for the day...and you and the other ladies sure do it for me!!!! Good luck on selling the house, now is time to be getting it done!! I'm going in Early May so we'll just miss each other LOL!!

Linda...I'm with you on all those sticky little germs..I work with school age children everyday and let me tell you the colds the little kids massively blow up in me to like weeks for sniffling nose!! So here's a special box of tissue..from me to you...hope you feel better soon. BTW I live in Anchorage, ALaska, my hubby is stationed up here at Ft. Richardson.

Kathy from NY..good luck on your plan I know you can stay dedicated..and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Karen..ughh well I'll be miserable with you in snow..at least we got the sunshine back...the only 5 hours of light was driving me nuts..and doesn't do well for getting motivated to move LOL!! Good luck on your Weigh OUt.

GOtta go,
Jen

Hey Sweat Sisters, there is so much going on my head is spinning! :cool1: You all rock!

Tara, way to kick the TOM in the head!! :rotfl: That'll show it it can't come in and mess with your fitness program.

A big WELCOME to Lesli54 dive on in the water is warm! Hope to see you around the pool!

Linda, look at you kicking another pound the the curb! You keep going and you'll be at 150land in no time! :Pinkbounc

NYcpa, Congrats on the job and the plan to stay ahead of the scales!!

welovedis, you crack me up I, too have to have consecutive days at a number before I believe it is real!! :p

Jen, what a contrast Alaska to Florida! :earseek: :sunny:

Tracy, those dang girl scouts are EVERYWHERE! DH and I were just laughing over the weekend saying they were following me around trying to get me to "stub my toe". But so far, I have resisted! :teeth:

sarahsmom  I always look for your good morning! :goodvibes

Well, so far so good this week I have been sneaking on the scale and it looks like I may just make my goal of 3 pounds down this week! :Pinkbounc But we'll have to wait until Sunday to find out but believe me when I say if I meet goal the world will know! That will be my 25 pound down goal! Crossing my fingers!!

Everybody have a great day! Stick to the plan! And yes, I saw you looking in the mirror and you look mahvelous!! :)

Ughh...well my order of cookies is suppose to come in today..and I'm following the advice of a previous poster...they are going straight to the freezer, if my hubby wants them, he can walk out to the garage and get them..if not I'm not doing it...I will resist..wish me luck its TOM for me too..and chocolate sounds too good right now, but I have my oreo 100Cal pack, so I'm good LOL!!

Jen

:guilty: Well...gang...I need some pixie dust and thoughts tomorrow...it looks like I'll have to go to court without the benefit of having my vet testify..he just can't make it and it's too late to subpoena him. I just found out today at the law clinic that his letter he wrote will be inadmissable...they felt I had a "good" shot at winning my case without it but did say I had a "GREAT" shot at winning if I had my vet there to testify. Since the case has already been continued once I can't continue it tomorrow...(I was under the notion that each side got one continuance...but it's one for either side..and the defense already called it last time)...so I'm preparing myself for taking 3 great and sweet (they sat through 3 hours of law clinic today) kiddies with me..the lawyer I saw today said they may actually buy me some sympathy...plus my ds (9) has to testify (for newbies...a neighbor's doberman attacked my leashed dog on my property and made her lame..she needed surgery) I'm just soo tired today...I've got to get my exercise in tonight...or I know I'll be all tense in the morning. My dh doesn't get in from Alabama until tomorrow night...so I have noone to hold my hand! Well, I do have 3 sweet little children who are being great through all of this.

Please pray I get a fair judge that isn't biased against pro se litigants. I'll do my best Perry Mason impression and be respectful to the court and just lay out the facts. I just hope their attorney isn't a piece of work like my neighbor is.

Off to find that Cardio Pilates DVD...got to work out all this angst!!! :)

Tara

Tara - I'm totally saying a prayer for you and sending LOTS of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I hope everything works out for you :sunny:

Tara - Here is some more :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: and another prayer. I hope all goes well for you tormorrow, and the judge sides with you.

Regina

Tara - good luck tomorrow. If the judge has any compassion you should win easliy. You are always so optimistic, you are an inspiration for others to try their best.

Hope the kids have the desired effect. Here is some pixie dust for good luck :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

:flower: :sunny: :sunny: HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!! :flower: :sunny: :flower: :sunny:

I hope you all have an awesome day! :flower:

Morning All!!

It is March 11th, 27 degrees here and the snow is flying :sad2: The Chicago area should be in the mid 40's now worrying about black ice on the commute to work. DD17 and I are trying to decide if she should drive to school.

I LOATHE WINTER!!!!

My head cold is in full bloom :flower: I slosh as I walk around the house and classroom. Did absolutely no exercise yesterday and am feeling it. Not as revved as normal. Going to try tomorrow. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Linda the scale obessed peeked at the scale this morning to see what kind of damage no exercise did and yup - I am up a 1/2 pound. Holding at 167 but I am not upset because I know the scale is capable of reading 166.5. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Tara - Lots of pixie dust :wizard: :wizard: headed your way. We all have faith in you that the judge will see the truth in all of this mess :sunny: :sunny: You are one brave lady.....the judicial system scares me!! Good Luck!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Jen - Did the cookies make it into the freezer? Hope so. :)

Tiggerkeeper - Keeping my fingers crossed that your weigh in as a BIG LOSER!! ;)

To the rest of the Sisters in Sweat - Keep Moving :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have an excellent weekend!!

And a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
