I have to mention to all that I found a new mantra for this week from Master Yoda himself...DO, or do nothing, there is no TRY. I want a 2 pound loss this week so I am going to DO! After some :magnify: I found there were several things I haven't been DOing enough of lately so I am walking the straight and narrow this week!

Insert Louis Armstrong singing here....And I say to myself, what a ONE-DERFUL WORLLLLLLLLD!!! Tracy YOU DID IT!!! You distanced yourself enough from that 2 number and are firmly entrenched into ONEDERLAND!!! Don't let those cute little Teddy's make you think they're little...it was only after going low carb that I realized how many carbs were in EVERYTHING I was eating!!! For snacks on the go, I love berries (black and rasp), mozzarella sticks, mixed nuts, and never forget that cold bottle of water from the freezer! :) You are on your way BABY!!!!

Kathy! I thought of you on my walk today...I wish I could send some of this 60 degree weather your way! Even more, I wish you could live right next door so I could take you on my walks! I could borrow your 24 tapes!! :) I never watched that show...but I saw one about the boy whose mother ya know "didn't like his girlfriend" and I've been so worried about him ever since! You'll have to catch me up! Great work on the workouts!!! You are plugging along and it looks like Spring will be coming your way!!! I JUST KNOW IT!!!

Tiggerkeeper!!! 1 pound!!!! :banana: Don't forget to look at that one pound as two sticks of butter!!! GONE GONE GONE!!!! YIPPEE!!! And all that exercise we all try to fit in is building muscle..which takes up less space but burns more FAT!!!! What's better than that???? We get to wear smaller clothes and still burn fat! :) Oh! AND I LOVE THAT MANTRA!!!! And it's in GREEN!!! And YODA was GREEN!! So I'm feeling the love! I had to grow up with a little brother that was insane about Star Wars...he even has a 4 foot Yoda in his office....I used to roll my eyes at his obsession but now I'll be quoting that mantra and he'll be sooo excited to know that I've finally caught the bug...little does he know it's a mantra to lose weight...not to honor Lucas! :) And I need a 2 pound loss this week too...might be tought with TOM coming but WE CAN DO IT!!!! :)

Watched another episode of season 1 of 24 while riding the stationary bike for 48 min. It took me 6 min to figure out which hour to start with. I managed almost 12 miles and burned 380 cals. If possible, I exercise with my heart rate monitor and then download the exercises into the computer (I'm somewhat of a gadget and computer geek).

Had ice cream for a snack, planned it in to my daily calorie allotment. Ate healthy for the rest of the day.

Hi guys,

I'm just checking in. I'm down another pound which makes a total of 7 pounds lost since I started the Oprah challenge. I now weigh 180.5 pounds. I'm almost in the 170's! Woohoo!!! Hopefully it will happen this week. I'm going to focus really hard on doing mostly cardio work outs this week. So we'll see.

I am very excited! I completed 10K on the treddie yestrerday!!!! The calories went from 999 back to 0!!!! YAY!!!! I felt awesome too!!! I CRAVE this exercize now! :cool1:

This mornings WI was much better than last week. I am down another 2 lbs :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

This week may be a tough week for exercise but I will keep up with the healthy eating. have to go out of town.

I met with my trainer this morning at the gym, lost lots of inches and 23 pounds since I started so I am happy with those results. She is going to work up a new fitness program for me to start next Monday with concentration on my upper arms (for those sleeveless shirts that I will someday wear!), lower abs & obliques and strengthening my legs. Hopefully it will all pay off this summer. :)

Well the evil scale and I went another round. Yes, I admit it I am addicted to watching those numbers move. Fortunately for me.........drum roll please....

I HAVE SEEN 167.5 FOR 2 DAYS IN A ROW :jumping1:

Cannot begin to tell you what a boost this is for me :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I have been stuck between 172 and 169.5 for months. Now I know for sure the scale does really work.

Thanks for all the support last week when I was really down and out about my weight loss. You guys are the BEST :grouphug: :grouphug: This is the first time I found a group that will be there for each other. :cloud9:

So now my goal is to see another downward change on the scale. 165 would be nice. Leaving for WDW next Wednesday and that would be a treat!! :love:

Well, as of my weigh in today I am at 180, sooooo close to the 170's. I am hoping this week will be my week.

WTG---your scale could be your friend now!

I go to a "women-only" gym, and really enjoy the support/motivation of going there. They have only women trainers,instructors and employees. Well, the have one young guy but he does mostly office work I think. Every 6 weeks I meet with a trainer to get weighes, exact measurements done and talk about the fitness program, what is working, what is not, what I want to work on in the weeks ahead. Then I usually schedule another appt with the same trainer where they take you around to the new things on the regimen-show me proper form, etc... I can also ask questions of the floor trainers at any time, like if I forget how to use something,etc...

I had not been going to gym regularily but started back again when I started the Discovery Health National Body Challenge. I'm pleased with the results-lots of pounds gone (23), lots of inches gone (I think she said something like 16 or 18) and my body fat went to about 3%. Nice to have someone do the measuring, etc....

Anyway--sorry for the long version...but I really love my gym! :love:

Karen you are doing so great. 23 pounds is awesome. :daisy: I wish we had an all female gym around here. I used to go to one several years ago but they decided to expand they got real big and it is now huge and co-ed. I kept my membership and only went two or three times after they changed it.

As for myself, I weigh in tonight. I’m not sure how it will turn out. I didn’t exercise over the weekend and I did not stay on my eating program very well. :sad2: So I am not looking for a loss. I will be happy if I maintain this week.

Karen, that's a nice weight loss! For some reason getting past that twenty mark was REAL important to me. Maybe it meant I was serious but it sure was a boost! Congrats on the pounds and inches lost! :banana:

Ok better late than never, my offical weigh-in was Friday, and I maintained for the week. This weigh-in is late because it has been another one of those weekends in my house. I got to my in-laws Friday, just after DS2 nearly knocked himself out on the coffee table, I am not sure who took it worse him or Grandma. I ended up taking him to the E.R. because he was not talking or very stable on his feet. He would acknowlege you when you called his name that was the only reaction we could get. It ended up he had a concussion and we had to wake him up every 2 hours during the night on Fri. At times like this I am glad DH is a paramedic and can reassure me that everything is fine.

Friday, DH developed an alergic reaction to the antibiotics he was on and has a rash covering his entire body. He still is miserable and has taken today off.

The good news is it was nice here over the weekend, so Sat. we were able to take the kids and dog and go for a walk.

Congratulations to everyone for all of the weight loss.

Kathy!! Way to go on the eating!!! It's all about portion control...planned ice cream is a GOOD thing!!! It's when we don't plan and throw caution to the wind that our body suffers...you're body will be using that ice cream for FUEL!!!! GREAT JOB!!! :)
And as I scan down...you've lost 2 pounds!!!! THAT'S GREAT!!!! :banana: :banana: ...look at you GO!!!! Tax season will be over before you know it and you'll have the pounds gone to prove it! :) YEAH!!!

Well, Judge Mathis wanted my case (dog attacked my dog) but I joked, nah, if Judge Marilyn Milian calls....I'll check into it...and she did! She wants to send my son and I to NYC to have the case there....the other side has to agree (which I doubt seriously) but it was a hoot to go through the process..will find out later this week. Eating...okay, exercise GREAT...TOM STARTED TODAY!! UGH! But I VOW TO LOSE atleast 1 pound with TOM...:)

Tara – Going to NYC to have your case heard sounds like fun. I have always wondered how people get on those shows. I work at a small technical college and one of our instructors went to Texas to have a case of his heard but I have never asked him how he managed to get onto the show. You will have no problem getting that pound off (maybe more). ;)

I went to my weigh in tonight and I lost the pound that I gained last week. Let me rephrase that “one pound has melted away” I didn’t lose it, anything lost can be found and I don’t want me or anyone else finding it in the future.

Good morning everyone :wave: :wave: :wave:

Did not get any exercise in yesterday due to a 24 hr bug :guilty: :guilty: On the positive side, did not eat much either.

Today and tomorrow will be non-exercise days also. I have to go out of town for my grandmothers funeral. My mother is having the meal after so I am going to help her get things ready. Grandma lived to a ripe old age of 100. She just got tired out and gave up. To make up for the lack of exercise, I will have to concentrate on what I eat. No all day grazing. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
