150 Club...care to join???

Hi I am Jeanine and I started WW in June at 262 and as of this morning I am down 41 lbs. I can't wait to make that 150 goal. I could probibly be lighter but I think that I will be happy there. No one looks at me and sees my weight at 221 but I can feel it.
Ok here are the challanges:
1. I am in nursing school and everyone swears that you always gain that freshman 15 (even though I am 30 something)- but so far I have continued to lose with the great support of my WW's coach and my DH and DD.
2. I think I have a little bit of an eatting disorder (wow that took alot for me to say because I won't even say it my DH) But listening to all of you and seeing what you are trying to accomplish is very inspiring. Most of the time I can't make my points for the day and if I do I feel horribly guilty.*
3. We are leaving for a four day trip back to WDW on Saturday 1-14-06 and I was on this thread looking for WW tips for eating down there. Any help?
4. I am trying to be consistant with the gym but it's hard when I am trying to study and my DH hasn't had the time to go with me like we used to. But I will keep plugging at it.

My goal is to reach that 200 mark by my birthday on Feb 17th and by my DD's b-day in April I want to wear a special dress that is sitting in my closet. I keep trying it on so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to make it by then.

Good luck to you all and please keep up the great work!!

*This complex was brought on my my EX Hubby so we can thank him for that one.
Here is a picture of my goal weight:

Today's been another rough patch kind of day...I can tell!

Exams start Monday. I am THRILLED. :eek: :crazy2: :scared1: :confused: :headache: :rolleyes:

Today:
B: 3 cups cereal, 1 slice toast (7)
L: omelet with ham and cheese and 2 slices toast (6)

I have to cut down on the dairy this week. I'm trying out for Cinderella: The Musical at my school and dairy seriously screws up my voice.

Jeanine-Welcome and many huggles to you!

Well, guys...I was doing well...until I found the marshmallows again!

And then the wagon ran over me. The end.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I need to get some motivation back.
I can do this..but why aren't I?
There's much stress in my life right now (lots of exams coming up UGH!) I'm going to try to cut down on the things I do just to do and focus on the things I like to do.
Tonight I have to babysit. They feed me dinner there, which means it will be a Kid Favorite (like mac n cheese or chicken strips). I'll eat the "meat" parts and stick to water. No chips. I tell ya and I'll say it again OUT LOUD IN MY HOUSE that I will not eat any chips because I don't like how they taste and they make me feel icky.
Tomorrow I'm going to focus on doing my best on my exams. I'm going to eat a very healthy breakfast, take the first exam, *lunch and homeroom*, take the second exam and then come home and relax. I can tell I won't have any homework.
We had to make a stress box for one of my classes and I put a candle, bubble bath, pictures of my friends and my cats...my Disney World soundtracks....I'm just going to be really nice to myself. I'm going to get all dolled up and have a yummy snack and some exercise and some water and with any luck a nice hot shower!!! Just because I'm stressed and there's food in front of me I don't have to hide it in my mouth because it doesn't need to hide! I can say no. If saying it in my head doesn't help, then I will say it out loud (verbal cues work wonders for me)!
I am going to do this tomorrow. I'm going to finish out tonight as strong as I can and then I am going to ROCK tomorrow!
:wizard: YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! :cheer2: Good luck on your exams!!! I have one friday and then I leave for WDW- so you can tell how hard I am studying right now. :scared1:
That is SO cool! I hope you get it! I would LOVE to have played Cinderella (although, I must confess, Belle is my FAVORITE princess :goodvibes ).
Good Luck, Jen! I hope it goes well!
If I don't have anything else the rest of the night, I will have had a good day, but I can tell it is going to be a tough night. I am going to need to go put on my PJs and brush my teeth. That always helps me make it through the evenings.
When I have trouble with food, sometimes I just toss it in the trash (if I know I just can't control myself). I hate doing that, but there are times I have to do it. I did that with Christmas candy last week when New Years was over.
Well, tonight is a good TV night for us. A new episode of West Wing and Desparate Housewives, so I will be set for the evening soon.
Talk with everyone later!
Debra
Evening All!!
I fell off the wagon - let it roll over me as it went into the black hole of food and back again :sad: :faint:
Ok so tomorrow back on the wagon instead of under the wagon. Dreading getting on the scale but have to face the music!!!! We CAN DO THIS!! I CAN DO THIS!!!
Jen - Do you have the same wagon as me? :teeth: :rotfl2: Let's ride together ontop of the wagon and into the world of healthy and skinny :banana: :worship: GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR EXAMS!!
Debra - I am taping West Wing - got started too late......woo hoo = the only thing that would make it perfect would be Gray's Anatomy.
mickeygirl - what are you going to school for? HAVE FUN IN WDW!!!! Where are you staying.
Regina - Welcome Back!! Missed your postings!! We CAN DO THIS :banana: :banana:
To all my other friends.........how was the weekend? Going to try and get the wheel marks off my fat stomach :rotfl2: so I can make a clean start tomorrow....... :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda
Hi Everyone,
Boy that wagon sure has been making the rounds. I know it has hit me hard. Today was fairly good day. I had pancakes with a little syrup for breakfast, homemade chicken noodle soup and string cheese for lunch and roast, potatoes and corn for dinner.
Things have been crazy here lately, we got back from Disney a week before Christmas, so we basically flew into the holidays and now we have DS5 5th B-day party next weekend. DH has also been working a min. of 8 hrs of overtime a week, trying to get us out of the hole we have made for ourselves. The poor guy ended up working 19 1/2 hours yesterday, needless to say he was exhusted when he got home.
I just added one more incentive for me to get back on track. Feb. 18th we start swimming lessons for the boys and since they are young and this is their first class we have to been in the pool with them.
:cool1: :cool1: :banana: :banana: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2: :bounce: :bounce: :jumping1: :jumping3: :jumping3:
They are gone!!!!
They are gone!!!!
Everyone is gone!!!!
I am finally home alone!!!!
Both DDs are back at school and DH is back at work! Christmas break is over and life is back to normal!!!! Now I can get back into a habit of good eating!
The new 9 weeks grading period starts today and at the end is spring break, and at spring break is our DISNEY CRUISE!!!!! I must focus on that and losing some extra weight before then!
I know Linda heads to Disney a week or two before me, is anyone else going before Linda? Are we next in line for Disney trips from the 150 club?
Linda! Isn't this weather something! I am hoping this months heating bill is better than last months (more money left for our Disney trip!). I can handle winter is it stays in the 45-60 degree range!
Debra
Hi to all and HAPPY MONDAY!!
Weather is warm in the 40's buy glooooooooooooooooomy:(:( Saw the sun for about 3 hours yesterday. Need more sun!!!
Pool table is sold and will leave on Sunday!! WOO HOO!! Exercising must start then!!
Have a Magical Disney Day!!
Linda
we have 129 days until we head down to the mouse. I just go told by DH that he Air Force is sending him to school in Orlando, he just has to pick the month to go, I'm shooting for late August or in September. That would make 3 trips in 1 year. WhoooHooo, I should be 5 pounds lighter already with all this jumping up and down I'm doing.
Glad to hear the pool table is gone- now you can become a lean mean exercising machine
Oh My, Tracy! Three trips in a year! That is SUPER! You're so lucky! We have two......but THREE!!!! That is SO cool! Have to give us trip reports after each one!
To those of you who recently went, any 'eating' tips to help those of us about to go? I am trying to 'note' where the fruit stands are located so we can get some healthy snacks (OK, at least that is the plan, don't hold me to it ;) ).
We are in a villa studio with a microwave and fridge, so I am planning for a low fat breakfast in the room each day (cereal/oatmeal, stuff like that). I am also going to try getting some kids meals at the counter service places so I get smaller food portions.
With all the walking, maybe it will cancel out the extra calories!
Debra
hello all!
Happy New Year, New Us!
I have joined the exercise challenge for 400 (low, but I think realistic for this little manatee!) --have done 60 minutes so far & Jen's water challenge--thank you Jen! :cheer2:
I have however, been rather..er..umm..naughty :blush:
I have gained 9 lbs :earseek:
basically the wagon's run over me, backed up & gave me one more for luck! :crazy2:
one thing I would like to do is Pilates & a treadmill. I see the Pilates machine they offer on QVC, there is another company w/ good feedback, on Ebay which claims to make a sturdier one (they have a comparison chart comparing their product vs about 4 others) & one they offer on the shopping channel. I have been to the Pilates website--it is worse than figuring out which park tickets to buy! :faint: I do notice the width of seats, how many bands, if a stand is included are some of the variations. Anyone have any thoughts here?
Then I look at the Total Gym & think maybe that.
I do believe the gliding thing appeals here! :goodvibes
as for the treadmill, I would like one the automatically varies a program that is pre-set. I would like to go relatively slow at first then have it incline & gain speed gradually & then cool down. Don't feel I need fans or TVs, a pulse mechanism & distance/calories is fine.
Jen--good luck for exams & here's a :cheer2: from me! Cinderella tryouts, oh that is just so coooool! :flower2:
welcome Jeanine! :daisy: my goal is 200, also! I am short so I need to get down around 120--You are one busy, motivated gal! everyone here is so supportive & you are gonna do it!
Welcome back, Regina! another woman on the go! Best wishes! :shamrock:
Debra & Linda--am still hoping the shiver factor :cold: will burn up some calories! :tilt: Actually, it's been pretty reasonable weather-wise here. but it was that way last year, too & then bam! we got clobbered in Feb/March & the winds went howling, too! :sad2:
DH & DS16 will go for the EE opening, which coincides with DS' 17th birthday! :cake:
I am staying home keeping an eye on the masons & carpenters :cool2:
actually, they seem very competent & I'll be cooking them a meal in the restored hearth fireplace in a few months. We are restoring the great room of our 225+ yr old former tavern. My dream is to have it look like 1780. It will have heat & hidden electric. We can't afford good antiques, so the furniture will be made by local craftsmen. thank Godfrey folks didn't own a bunch of furniture in those days! :goodvibes I get spoiled antique-wise as I work in a house museum--boy, that'll skew your idea of what is acceptable! :sick:
Onward & downward!
Jean
Holy condoli, guys. The wagon dropped me off at school and absolutely ran over me. It's exams and busy week stress and a bunch of other things in combination.
I had a good breakfast and that was about it.
1 egg with ham and Two Tone Toast (pbj)...6
Lunch was: corn dog and fries (10)
Snack was lots of homemade bread (my parents cook and bake when things get rough...UGGA BUGGA!) and pb bananas. And a Fruit and Walnut Salad.
Dinner was Hearty Sketti Sauce with Sausage.
Tomorrow I think I will try the good breakfast thing again. Lunch I'm not so sure about. Trying to avoid dairy directly because it smoggies up my voice. I'll probably nibble on something because I'll be WAY nervous about play tryouts. I'm singing Wishes (from the MK fireworks show). If you have any tips, feel free to send them here!
Water was good today! Water was great, actually.
I did much studying...did a little bit of cheerleading practice.
B for tomorrow: egg with ham, banana (5)
L for tomorrow: something...lesser of the two evil alacarte choices
S (probably no snack because there's lots on the schedule....if I do have something, it will be quick and painless. Hopefully)
D: I was thinking a chef salad. Lettuce, ham, turkey, italian dressing or some such.
Tomorrow should be very busy!!!
"Make a wish...and do as dreamers do! And all your wishes will come true"
I just got home and had to check in. Will check back in later when I'm a little more awake.
Have a great day everyone.
Good Morning!!
I am no longer under the wagon :rotfl: but driving it to a healthier me!!! :teeth: Back on track showing a .5 loss and back to 172.5.....will I ever see the 160s???? :confused3
SURE I WILL with a little help from my friends. :grouphug:
Off to work - still subbing in the 3/4yr old preschool Special Needs room - a teacher assistant.
Kathy - Welcome Back!! :earsboy: :goodvibes Can't wait to hear about the trip.
Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
Good Morning Losers
So here I sit at the gym, I'm working for a few hours this morning. DH came home yesterday to tell me he was laid off for what I hope will only be a week. He is in the AF Reserves so he is calling his unit today to see if they have any work that he can do there. He needs to call his boss today in the PM to see if anywork has come up. If they tell him it's going to be longer than a week he will go to his union hall and get on with another contractor. He is a Lineman, and if his company doesn't get awarded the jobs, he has no work. The hall is saying that there is alot of work out there, his company is just bidding too high, thus leading to his lay off.
So I did 60 minutes at the gym today. I'm going to try the 20 minute workout on the treadmill when I come back in tonight.
Happy losing
Hi Again!
I say again because I wrote this long post yesterday, and then the server was too busy-- aaarrgh!
So let's try this one more time.
Yesterday I ate o.k., and I was on the TM for 45 minutes/4.3 mph/just over 3 miles including warm-up and cool-down. Today I'm having:
B -- oatmeal & raisins
L -- soup & 100 cal cheese nips
S -- 2 clementines
D -- tuna casserole
S -- 100 cal sandies & tea, 1 Godiva truffle
After work I will be doing a Donna Richardson strength training video. It has 4 segments, and I'm going to do 2 for 30 min. I'm not sure what I'm working -- I'm in the middle of the tape and it's been so long I don't have any idea what's next! It's the great mystery workout. With my luck I have hips & thighs and buttocks, all my favorite parts (not!). I guess I could just do the abs and arms, but realistically, I know I need to work my whole body.
I'm trying to cross train so I don't get bored on the TM, and also so I do a better job of working more of my muscles. It's a new idea for me, we'll see how this week goes.
Tracy -- So sorry to hear about dh. I hope it is just a temporary, quick setback. This economy...the one good thing about my position is that apparently we are never going to run out of homeless people...although I don't really think that's a good thing!
Linda -- Good luck with the munchkins! I would be certifiable after one full day. Glad your back in charge! The TM workout is coming up soon!
Kathy -- Welcome Back! We can't wait to hear all about your trip. Rest up, and we'll be here when you're ready :goodvibes
Jen -- Hang in there. Even when you have a less than stellar day, you are still doing more things right. Feel good about yourself and the progress you have made!
Jean -- You are back and ready to go, and that's fantastic! Your home sounds really wonderful. I can't imagine cooking on a hearth...I can barely operate the microwave!
Debra -- DH and I had the Palo Brunch in August. It was really fabulous. So relaxing, and so many wonderful items to choose from. It was our special adult time, and I would do it again in a minute. You are going to love it! I empathize with your daughters getting older. Just be glad you aren't trying to decide how to explain where babies come from. That's my latest parenting challenge. I'm going to be crushed the day ds doesn't prefer me to any other female, so I do feel for you.
Regina -- So glad to see you back! I have a huge smile on my face. Let's leave that wagon in the dust!
Tara -- I miss your energizing comments. Hope everything is o.k.!
A hearty welcome to the Newbies! You will find this thread is a fantastic source of support!
Toodles,
Maria
Hi Everyone,
Well DH gets to go to work tommorrow. Hopefully this is the start of a 3 day working period and not an everyother day thing. He did get a lot of things done around the house today, however. I think he was trying to stay busy so he wouldn't have to think about being laid off. He does have a lot of pressure, being the only working person in his family of 8. I bet he wishes I had a job on days like this.
Going to do my shift at the gym. I'm going to try a workout a personal trainer gave to me. IF anyone is interested I'll post it. Let me know.
I'll let ya know how it goes
Hey guys!! Today was okay. The weather was blucky and it seems like nothing positive or constructive happens on rainy days here. Exams were exams...ucky but livable. Lunch was a horrid lasagna. Dinner was tomato soup and 1/2 a baked potato. I need two more Pop Century mugs of water to call it a day! Smarshmallows were my snack.
I really don't know what I was expecting for Cinderella tryouts. I got extremely nervous, drank most of a 12 ounce bottle of water in about two minutes and went on. I sang, I acted, I did my best and hopefully that's good enough to get in. It was a small group but everyone there was in choir. The director (the choir teacher) said that I should join the choir and that I had a good "low alto" voice. I couldn't sing to save my life in there.
I don't need to study tonight (Spanish packet is done and personal development has the story I finished two days ago).
Love and hugs to you all!
Okay guys I'm here to join this thread as my goal is 145! I'm currently 210 and I have a long long way to go but I'm going to do it, and need all the support I can get especially since I have just moved to Florida!! Can't wait to get to know all of you and report my successes!! Off to find the nearest Curves to me..time to start working out again!!
Jennifer
