Will do! I started a New Year, New You! Challenge if anyone is interested.

Normal "programming" resumes January 2, 2006 for this girl. I've got Christmas parties and New Year's bashes and cheerleading stuff.
 
Hey ladies,

Tigercheer, I'm in for your challange. I am going to commit to the 5lbs a month goal. All the kids weighed themselves today, and if I'm successful with losing 60 lbs, I would be an 8 yo dd thinner.

Gotta go, my 1 yo dd, who is fighting bedtime tonight is crawling all over me. AAARRRGGGHHHH
 
I hope everyone is having a great holiday week. I managed to keep my weight the same even with the WDW trip.

I will try to post some pictures and some more of the trip report tonight.

That is wonderful! I can't imagine not gaining at WDW. You did great! Give us some advice. I have a trip coming up in less than 90 days and I have been thinking about trying to lose an extra 5 pounds (below my goal) so that I can just gain that back on vacation.

I would love to see your pictures!

How's everyone doing? It sounds like you had a fantastic trip, Kathy. I'm sure your runs didn't hurt in keeping your weight the same! Congratulations! :cheer2:

Tomorrow my dad goes home, and I get my treadmill space back full-time. No excuses this time!

I've calculated I can get in 12 workouts before I go to Vegas, so that should significantly help with my goal of getting into the 160s before I go. I would be happy with 169.5, honest! That would be a great starting point to work from.

Debra -- I know you are going to be leading us right back on track after the holidays. You really are our inspiration. I know you are going to do a fabulous job maintaining! :goodvibes

Tracy -- My dsalmost8 is 54.5 lbs. If I managed to lose his weight, I would be a lean, mean mama machine, but that is a bit beyond my original goal. :moped:

Jen -- I hope you have a great time at all your festivities! :Pinkbounc

Linda -- Are you enjoying those fruits & veggies? I actually find I want them after too much rich food. :cake:

Jean -- I am so envious you actually got to see the parade. DS was crushed when we turned on the t.v. to Patriots All Access. He really wanted to watch the parade. I'm secretly sort of glad, because that would have prompted a round of begging to go again, which we are not doing in 2006. :tilt:

Tara -- How does it feel to be back home? I bet you were glad to get settled again. :flower:

Kathy -- You must be getting excited about the half marathon! Can you believe it's almost here? I've given myself a year to train, but I'm already ready to get going! :hyper:

Hi!

I do believe something's happening to me and I kinda like it. I had mac n cheese for dinner last night-only had one bowl!! It was too cheesy and kind of tasted funny. I had cinnamon bread this morning. I only had like 1 and a 1/2 slices down when I spit it out. It tasted kind of yucky! I think my tastes are changing...those were two of my favorite foods at one point in time...

Schatz-Welcome to the challenge! We do different challenges each month, like the first one is drinking water. Set a goal and come join us!!

Today on my agenda-
Shave and shower and clean (game tomorrow)
Clean uniform (the skirt, which was taken in, is "big again"!! :goodvibes )
Exercise-my iPod makes me want to go out and RUN even though there's snow on the ground and puddles everywhere
Drink water!!

B: pasta and a lemon yogurt. 1.5 slices cinnamon bread

Water: zip! Gotta start working on my 48 ounces goal for today!
Exercise: nada. Off to attempt now!
 
Hey!

Where is everybody?! :wave: Let's gear up for the big push. I'm excited that in just a few short days, everywhere I look will be encouragement to reach my goals --commercials, sales, new books and magazines -- you name it, and it's all going to help!

We're starting by deliberately not buying a bunch of junk for New Year's Day. And I am determined that SuperBowl or not (probably not, my Pats are injured and beleagured), we are not having an eating free for all on that day. ;)

I'm even determined to work out while I'm on my Vegas getaway. The hotel has a gym, so there's really no excuse. I can certainly get up early two days and work out before my girlfriend even thinks of going anywhere. ::yes::

I'm going to be very glad to go home and tell dh that I did not lose sight of my goals, I had fun and kept working on feeling good. I'm just at work until 11:30 today, then it's home for TM time! Afterwards I plan on eating a healthy lunch, having a relaxing shower, and a little rest. Then it'll be time for my hair appointment, and then I have the rest of the evening to read a really good book. Ahhh! It's going to be a great day, and none of it revolves around food. That's a good feeling. :flower:

Tomorrow ds has a basketball game, so I will have the house to myself for an entire hour. I just like to enjoy the quiet. I'll put away a few decorations, maybe read some more, and relax. Tomorrow afternoon we have tickets to Disney on Ice Princess Classics princess: , so that's a great treat for me. Other than that our New Year's Eve will be extremely low-key. We will probably have pizza and salad for dinner and watch movies with ds.

So, I'm down .5 today (I'm really psyched because I had two rolls, a baked potato, etc. at Texas Roadhouse last night, so I expected to be up). That's the start of my push to the 160s! I stopped eating before 8 -- I even skipped my usual piece of chocolate because it was 10 when I realized I hadn't had it! And I drank 3 bottles of water before starting on soda, so I did pretty well with yesterday's goals.

One of my big goals today is to write down a new after work routine that will include working out. I say I intend to do it, but when I can check it off a list, it's much more likely to happen! I'm also sticking with drinking water, TM time, and not eating after 8. Once I make those three things habits, there'll be no stopping me! :Pinkbounc

I hope you are all feeling this optimistic and enthusiastic. :goodvibes

I know we are all going to see (or at least get in sight of) the 150s this year. Like Debra, some of us will even get to goal and stay there! :grouphug:

Let's pamper, play, and enjoy ourselves while we lose. This isn't a punishment, it's an opportunity (sorry for sounding so preachy, I actually need to hear all of this myself! :blush:)!

I would love to hear about everyone's plans for the holiday and the New Year. C'mon, you know you want to share!

Morning All!!

Tough hectic week for all!! Hope everyone is enjoying the last of 2005. I for one am happy to see it go!! :goodvibes Not the best of times (not the worst) and am looking forward to 2006 on many many levels.

Have been maintaining at a level that I am not happy to start with :confused3 BUT know that as of next week GAME ON!!

Right now I have one exchange student from Germany (will be leaving next Tuesday) and 3 more from Indiana with the last one arriving this morning!! All sleeping in my family room - The HOTEL is open for business:):)

Maria - Would love to have an hour of quiet in the house.......sigh.....even when the humans are gone I still have currently 1 dog (8mo old puppy), 2 cats and 2 turtles........Good plan for not over indulging and exercising. WE CAN DO THIS!! :cheer2:

Jen - You are sooooooooooo busy!! Have a great time this week!! Bet the pounds will be melting off real soon!! DRINK THAT WATER AND FLUSH THE FAT!! :cheer2:

Today I have a game...and really nothing until then! So I think I'm going to have a "Be Nice to Myself" day! I mean, I'm so busy rushing and giving other things my all that I don't treat myself with the best of intentions!

I'm thinking pedicure (because we aren't allowed to wear polish on our fingers), healthy eating, a nice walk, maybe some yoga if I can get my DVD out of the Stress Box...because I've already taken a shower and shaved so I really don't need to fully immerse myself in water again.

And and and!!! I took a twenty minute walk in the freezing cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of myself!

Hi Everyone! The girls are out on break, so I hardly ever have a minute on the computer. Just wanted you to know that I am still around and will be more active on the thread once they go back to school.

I have to run to Walmart. OH! I will be SO glad when all the snacks are over! I told the family that on Tuesday all the 'junk' that is still around is getting tossed! They are doing pretty going getting rid of stuff (with my help :rolleyes: --oh well, next week I am back on track! ).

Have you guys been following the Budget or Theme Park boards? The prices for WDW tickets are going up tomorrow. I went ahead and ordered ours today because we wanted the 10 day non-expire ones and those are going up a lot. Here are the new prices (according to a post on the Theme park board):

New ticket prices as of 1/1/06 (with tax included) are as follows:

OK, I supported the statistics! I officially gained 5 pounds over the holidays!

I am back on track as of TODAY! That 5 pounds is coming off in January and I have decided to lose another 5 pounds before our cruise (so I can gain without worrying too much). I took my '70' clippie away and put back the '65'. I will get back my '70' once I am back at goal.

I just bagged up all the left over junk and put the stuff in the trash (I was the only one eating out of the big can of popcorn someone gave us).

It is a new day and a new year and it is time to get back on track.

So come on girls! Let's get serious and make this a great week and a great month and a great year!

Welcome to our group! We are usually quite a bit more chatty, but I think we are all still on 'holiday'. I know I got off track quite a bit over the past two weeks and it is hard for me to get back in line.

I think once kids are back in school and our lives get back to normal we will be more active here.

Have you made any changes today to get started? I went to the store this morning and bought a bunch of salad stuff and have it all cut up now. I have a salad bar in my fridge! So I am having a big salad at supper!

So how are things going for you?
