Hi there LOSERS!!!!

My name is emily.... but most people call me gabby!
I saw this thread and knew I had to join!
Let me tell you a tad bit about myself....
2 yrs ago, I joined ww! I lost a total of 35 pounds in about 7 or 8 months. Then we went on vacation, I gained some back, and once we were home my schedule became too busy for meetings, so i quit going. I ended up quiting watching my points all together.
I ended up gaining back about 8 pounds, and maintained there up until the end of march of this year.
One day I said to myself, ok, i know ww works and it is up to me to make to it work!
I started again on 3/28. I havent gone to the meetings and so far that is going great! I always post my weigh in on the ww thread and that seems to be holding me accountable.
I have lost 19.6 as of last monday. And I know I am down some more this week! YEAH!!!
My clothes are all getting too big which is so fun! What a great reward for all my hard work.
I currently have about 40 punds to go to hit 150!!!! I know it is a long road, but I am looking forward to it!
So, I am joining you all in the challenge of making it to 150!
I feel great, I have more energy, and most important to me is how good I feel about myself! Knowing that I have done this on my own, not some little pill or what have you!
I hope I can be of encouragement to any of you who needs it!
Keep up the hard work guys!
Looking forward to getting to know you all better!

Hello,

I would love to join! I have a long way to go but atleast I have started! I want to get to 158. I started WW in late April 2005 at 229.5. I am currently at 223.5 as of this morning.

I am going onthe DCL on 7/23/05 (yeah West Coast Cruise!) and my first goal is to be 210 by that date (got to start your goals somewhere!)

Have a great day!

:cheer2: positive thinking!

WELCOME!!! Sorry, it's taken me so long to see this!!! I've been AWOL lately...I had 3 great months of losing then this month with an across state move I just lost all direction..or actually have had no time to focus on my health and just focused on organizing boxes and transferring accounts....but I'm soo excited that you're here and KNOW you can do this!!! 210 is a great GOAL!!! I remember hitting that and feeling GREAT!!! And it's very doable by 7/23....I'm going to officially weigh AGAIN next Thursday and will have to re-set my goals...setting goals is such a BIG part of me sticking to losing...

WITH THIS WONDERFUL GANG...it's just hard not to lose...the key for me is making sure I'm HERE!!! Linda!! Boy, do I need your GREAT attitude...I had gone 3 months without gaining a pound and mostly losing each week that this month of seeing those gains has just stunned me into eating badly...count me in on GETTING BACK with you!!! Regina..you're hanging in there FINE :Pinkbounc how's your exercise going? I'm so impressed with your losing ways!!! TigerCheer...Cedar point??? SOUNDS LIKE A BLAST!!! Never been but I hear they have awesome rides! Enjoy how those seats fit much looser now! :) Kathy...how's it going in NY???? We've had a cool spell here and I should be out walking....just finished ds's 10th birthday party...stuck to 1 piece of cake...but did have chips and chocolate chip cookies to boot...ugh...so starting fresh today! :)

HEY THERE GAbby!!! You sneaked in there while I was typing this! :) WELCOME!!! I'm with you baby!!! I lost 60 pounds and need to lose about 30 more to really be at GOAL!!! That will put me at 148...so anything on the other side of 160 will be FINE with me!!! I need to hear those successes to get me in a losing state of mind!!! Working on my walking being consistent and getting back to my pilates...boy, after unpacking for a month everything feels tight and sore.

Let's get these pounds GONE for good!!! I'm Baaaackk...and I'm not GIVING UP TO STRESS! :)

Welcome Gabby!

I am a Lifetime Weight Watcher and the program does work, so it will happen for you!

Hope everyone is doing well today! :flower:

Guess what I did today. I walked my kids to school! Yes, me! The one that HATES exercise! It was just a nice morning with good temperatures, and I just asked them if they would like to walk. It is about a 20 minute walk if you just walk casually, so it was a total of 40 minutes for me (since I had to walk home). I am also going to mow the lawn this afternoon (after I get back from a program at their school), so I will actually get in some exercise today!

I don't expect this to be a trend :sad2: But it was fun for today. Maybe will try it again next week if the weather is just right.

DJ

Today was weigh in for me, I lost the rest of the 5lbs I gained at the begining of the month plus 1/2lb. So I am offically back on the negative side of where I started the month.

I managed to exercise in the morning 3 out of the 4 days that I worked each of the past 2 weeks. I plan on continuing to get up early so that I don't have any reason not to exercise.

So what are everyones plans for this weekend. We will be spending it at home, so DH can work on the new deck.

Welcome Gabby,
Congratulations on your weight loss so far. You will find this is a great place to get the support you need, and to vent when things don't go as planned.

My name is Regina, and I am 28 years old, I am been married almost 7 years and have 2 sons ages 4 and 2. I am working on lossing the weight I gained with each of my pregnancies.

Regina

Tera - have finally arrived home for about 36 hours. Will be leaving for WDW Sunday at 5:30 AM. NEED TO GET TO WARMER, DRYER WEATHER. It rained almost every day this week. Beside the rain, it was windy and cold.
Haven't exercised or eaten well in too long. Actually, I did exercise about 2 hrs today - moving DD1 back from Maine and vacumning her apt while she put some stuff in storeage.

Have to finish my project before going to WDW. Will also be taking a computer so I can work on another project there in my spare time. Is there ever any spare time while visiting Mickey?

Should consider going to bed so I can get up early and start working.

DJ!!! CONGRATS on MOVING those legs!!! What a GREAT way to make your muscles work FOR you! :) Making small changes by adding 20-40 minutes of walking daily will keep you a fine tuned losing machine!!! And you'll see your body sculpting itself!!! :) WAY TO GO!!!

Linda!!! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!! 10 pounds to 150's is SOOOO clooooose! :) :grouphug: Summer is just around the corner and you're going to DO THIS!!!! I'm making today May 28th a big start on getting to my final goal of 148...I just want to get under 150 and stay there..set a weekly/biweekly goal and shoot for it...you'll be in the 150's in NO TIME!!! Have your sweet daughter be your coach...she'll be inspired by reminding you to stick to the plan until you reach it!

Regina!!!   WAHOO!!! Goodbye 1/2 pound!!! Those relost pounds are sooo hard to get off....and seeing a new 1/2 pound gone is a HUGE PLUS!!!! WAHOO!!!! :grouphug: You're doing it smartly and wisely...they won't stay on for long! :)

Kathy!!! Oh nooooo...you can't do ANY WORK while at DIsney!! That's NOT ALLOWED!!! I'm hoping lightning strikes your laptop and you just can't use it while you're there!!! It's about time YOU have some PURE FUN without any projects to complete other than hugging Mickey and filling your body with glee!!! :) You've worked soooo hard ENJOY this break!!!

I'm going to be working HARD the next two weeks...I've been sorely disappointed in the scales so I've decided to do low low carb for the next two weeks to jump start me beyond that disappointing number on the scale...I'll weigh in 2 weeks..well, 13 days...because Thursday is a good day for me to weigh in on...My goal is to be below 175 before the first day of summer....I'm about 8 pounds off my goal track so I need to catch up!!! At this juncture I'm hoping to see 159.5 on August 25th...and by my birthday I hope to be at 155 (September 13th...) at that point I'll just take the rest of September off to have another life break then work on October and November for getting down to 148....I know I can do it!!! I'm posting this in my journal and making a commitment!!!

What are y'alls goals??? Have you figured out the day this year you'll see a new number??? I'm hoping to go to Disney on my birthday and celebrating being in the 150's....it's something to look forward to and if we sell our house in TN we CAN do it!!! :)

Tara

Well, graduation is over and we are back from London! :cool1: Actually, I have been back for a few days, but it is taking time to catch up with everyone. London was fun and it was great to spend time with DD17. I definitely am looking forward to doing a graduation trip with the other three. We did alot of walking, sightseeing, and took a few tours. The worst part of the whole trip was the sticker shock. I did go knowing that the currency rates were not in our favor, but everything is just more expensive and when you add in what it will actually cost in US dollars, it makes you think twice about buying anything. I will not complain about prices here again. Here is an example: 1 med pizza at Pizza Hut (I actually think it was slightly smaller than here) and two soft drinks cost about $25! :earseek: I can feed my whole family of 6 on 2 larges, breadsticks, soft drinks, and a sm salad for DH at that price here in the States if I have a coupon and still have a few leftovers! But we still had fun. I am doing my very detailed trip report including food in my WISH journal, so you are all invited to read it. It starts on page 14. Just too much to post here and there.

Anyway, I came back from London with a weight loss and have lost some since returning home. I am officially down to 212! (211 according to the doc, but to stay consistent, I am going by my scale). It almost settled on 211.5 and I did see a flicker of 209 and 210, so I know it won't be long. Just a little behind where I wanted to be at this time, but that is ok 'cause this weight is finally coming off.

Welcome Little Pixie Dust and Gabby! Don't be afraid to just jump in and post for encouragement or to give encouragement. The people on this board are wonderful and really make the difference in losing weight for good.

Linda. - glad to hear that you have found a therapist for your DD. Hopefully, things will work themselves out quickly. :wizard:

Tara - Just keep recommitting and you will get back on track. :cheer2:

Kathy - Have fun at WDW, we leave on Friday or early Saturday. Too bad we will just miss each other. ::MickeyMo

Regina - Congrats on the lost weight and getting back on the losing side!

I know that I have missed some, but I did read everything since my last post. Thanks for the bra tip, whoever posted that. To everyone that I missed, keep up the good work and remember to drink plenty of water! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hi Lesli- glad you're back! I'm multi tasking and reading your journal during the typing lulls.

Welcome Gabby and LPD!!! If you want any info on mwa, you can read my journal because I'm not into typing stuff that's already been typed! Good luck and ships ahoy!

Maintained at WI this morning. Considering the week I had, it's AWESOME! 186! Yeah,

Not up not down I'm staying right around just where I was!

My goal is to be at least 170 before school kicks in again. We can do this! We are WISHers, right? The name says it all!

DJ - Way to go getting to your WW goal. I'm doing the same thing, going with my highest weight to get to lifetime, but still want to lose 10 pounds after. I have about 10 more to go, so hopefully by July I'll be there :goodvibes

Congratulations to everyone else that is still working hard to your goal. Pretty soon we'll be starting that 140 or 130 goal thread :teeth:

211! I am only 1 from that new clippie! I just can't hardly believe it. This morning, I thought the scale might just settle on 209. It sure thought about it, but that much of a loss overnight is a little much to ask for. That's ok. A few more days and I will be there. :cool1: 209 is the lowest that I have weighed in about a year and a half. It sure would feel great to get below that! The jeans that I just bought before my London trip, the ones that fit like a glove, are starting to bag. Oh well, it was money well spent as I felt really good in them. About mid week, I am going to have to try on some more of my jeans and shorts in my drawers to see if I have anything for WDW! In some ways, I am hoping not. ;) But, I do know that I have some smaller sizes waiting for me. Or is that "weighting" for me? :rotfl2:

Everyone keep up the awesome job you are doing. Just think, by the end of summer, we will all look pretty svelte. :teeth:

Keep drinking and moving! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Lesli!!!!   Weren't you just celebrating being in the 2teens? And look at you!!! You're almost in the single digits!!! Well, I know you'll be there by next week....that is AMAZING!!! :grouphug: CONGRATULATIONS on staying strong and focused on treating your body well! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!

Tera...I know you'll be in the 140's soon and leading other 150'ers along with you!!! Keep shining with your positive ways and we'll have no other path than to lose! :)

So far so good....sticking to my low carb eating and already feel better for it...I am such a carb junkie that it's nice to realize my body can run on veggies and good meats without all the pasta and breads...I do add in whole wheat bread the third week and a few berries...so I can't totally give up carbs but it's a nice way to show myself how good salads and good veggies taste! :)

ONWARDS & DOWNWARDS GANG!
Tara

Oh, Melissa! That is SO wonderful! I ao so happy for you! I can't wait until I get to see the 150's also, I know it will be a good feeling. You must be so proud.

How do you feel? Do you notice a difference in your health and how you feel just doing every day things? How is it going shopping, is it more fun buying new clothes now?

I am just so happy for you!
Debra (DJ)

Congrats Melissa! I have a LONG way to go!

Congrats Lesli!!! 1 more and you'll get your CLIPPIE! I think it'll look good on you!

I have some big news today-I bought a bathing suit. It's a one piece because I'm sure I'd frighten many people away with my chubalub hanging out in the open, but it's a start!

I know I have a long way to go, but right now I feel like "why does this matter anyway" but I need to regroup and reintroduce my goals. So here's the time and here's the space!

"Hi. My name is Jen, alterego TigerCheer2009. I weigh 168, a shocking 13 pounds lighter than I was at 199. My highest weight was 203 (from there, I've lost 17 lbs) when I got fitted for my cheerleading uniform. I can NEVER be back there again. Why? Because! I couldn't be me anymore. I couldn't find good fitting clothes. I had put up my Alter-ego facade and now it's coming down. I can't be a cheerleader all the time! Sometimes, I need to be cheered for and that's just what I get. I'm staying on because my self confidence has gone UP, I feel good and I can never be at that low time again. I'm doing WW and exercise and have kickstarted 2 (count em, TWO) exercise challenges. I regard myself as the Sunshine Spot on the WISH boards. I'm doing this for me! I want to be in better shape so my health won't be in danger when I age gracefully. My life has had its fair share of rough spots. What drove me here is planning my Disney trip and curiosity. I CAN do this, I know I can. Just gotta pick up the pieces and start over tomorrow. Why? Because I have the ability, determination and drive to make positive changes in my life!"

There! I feel better!

Mel6197!!! :jumping1: :jumping1: WAHOO BABY!!! Aren't you just busting to go run a mile and be AMAZED at how WONDERFUL your "new" body feels???? Please answer DJ's questions...you have no idea how hearing others successes help us all follow in your footsteps!! It would be GREAT if you could share your success story with us...all the hows/what's ya dids/setbacks/and how you kept up that determination to get this FAR!!! Are you stopping at the 150's??? If not, maybe you and Tera could work together on starting a 140's thread!!! :) Just wanted to give you a big HURRAH for a JOB WELL DONE!!!

Tigercheer!!!
LOOK AT YOU!!!! You are AMAZING!!! I'm SOO proud of you for sticking to it and deciding to make this the year that you get your body in good form for a lifelong commitment to health and fitness....you will be amazed at how much more energy you have when you get up to my age (upper 30's!! :)) BIG BIG HUGS :grouphug: ...it's tough losing weight, but it's even tougher when you're at an age with lots of commitments (high school can be amazingly complex!)..you're doing SO WELL and we're sooo PROUD of you! :teeth:

I'm doing well so far...did have some semisweet chocolate chips last night and due to no groceries had to have a baked potato for dinner...that's not really low carb is it? But I had soo many cravings to just munch yesterday and I denied them...I'm going to get some yard work done today and finish unpacking one last room...then I'll be DONE with unpacking...and on to unpacking these pounds on my thighs! :)

Tara

Ain't no stopping me now! Ain't now mountain high enough to keep me away from my goal!

Drumroll............209! :cool1: I did it! I am only 50 lbs from getting into the 150's! Thought I would never say that. And just think, only 9 lbs from reaching ONEDERLAND! Look at my new clippie, isn't it beautiful? To top off this wonderful feeling, I decided to try on a pair of jeans that I couldn't fit into comfortably a few weeks ago and they fit like a glove! They are 18's, no stretch denim and not Women's. The greatest part is, that I know I will be in 16's soon, as this is the smallest 18's I can find! :goodvibes

There really is something to be said for exercising and speeding up that metabolism. Things really whoosh off a lot faster. Yesterday was 10.5 hrs of painting at BIL's new home and so I had very little time to eat much of anything. Got enough calories in at least.

Oh yeah! I am making this solemn vow to never (I mean never) weigh 210 again!

Mel6197 - Look at you go! The 150's must feel good and you definitely have worked for it, so celebrate! :cheer2:

Jen - I think it is great that you are rededicating yourself. It sure helps to remind us why we are in this. As we lose weight, we gain so much more and getting back to our real selves is really what it is all about. :grouphug:

Tara - Keep moving, drinking, and stay away from the temptation. You can do this!

Everyone have a great Memorial Day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

:rockband: CE-LE-BRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON!!!! There's a party going on right here....a celebration to last throughout the year...so bring your walking shoes and your water too...we're gonna celebrate and LOSE with you!!!! :)

Lesli...you're doing it...give yourself this instant a big tight squeeze and imagine us all around you with huge grins on!!! :grouphug: I know seeing those numbers solidly on the scale is a huge win for ya!!!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day..I know you will!!!

Tara
