Hello,

I would love to join! I have a long way to go but atleast I have started! I want to get to 158. I started WW in late April 2005 at 229.5. I am currently at 223.5 as of this morning.

I am going onthe DCL on 7/23/05 (yeah West Coast Cruise!) and my first goal is to be 210 by that date (got to start your goals somewhere!)

Have a great day!

:cheer2: positive thinking!

Good Morning Losers!! :sunny:

Life is looking up in this household - it's about time!!! :) :rotfl:

DD17 liked the therapist and will be seeing her twice a week for the next several weeks. :goodvibes She has been diagnosed with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) - no she doesn't wash her hands multiple times but she is complusive about not sleeping in her bed for fear of vomiting. Therapist says this is totally treatable and is very optimistic. DD actually went out Saturday night to the movies (first time in forever!!) and managed fairly well.
Hope this is the turning of the corner we all needed. Thanks for all the prayers and support :grouphug:

Dress situation solved......she is wearing a dress she borrowed from a friend of mine WHEW ;) She still needs to resolve the lost relationship with her friend but that I can only be there to support her.

So my friends this means I am refocusing on myself!!! Gym bag is packed and I am heading there right after work. This body needs to start feeling less lumpy :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

A Little Pixie Dust - Welcome!! You have come to the right place!! We are an amazing supportive group!!

TigerCheer - Looking thinner everyday!!! :flower:

Tara - Keep unpacking - that means you are moving!! :bounce:

Kathy - I am soooooooooo happy for you.........Me too!! ME too!! I can be packed and on the plane within an hour :earboy2:

Regina - How was the zoo?

To the Team!! You are an AMAZING bunch of losers :wizard: :grouphug: Thanks again for all. I know it will still be one step forward - two steps back but I finally feel the sun shining in the house :sunny: :sunny:

I'm recommitting AGAIN!!! Boy, this ole starter of mine is just having a hang up...3 weeks of eating normally has made me realize how much I like eating without having to watch it all...but I have to remind myself that 30 more pounds and I CAN eat this way again!!! I just need to get it off!! :) And TOM just ended today..I almost can never recommit with TOM here...so here's to a fresh new start! :)

Let's get those pounds gone for GOOD!!! :)

Maybe this is strange, but I am excited about Oprah's show today. They are going to talk about finding a good fitting bra that will help you look up to 10 pounds lighter!

I meant to ask you..did you watch it??? Any tips? I know what you mean...I am down to 2 bras and hate to buy any until I get the last 25-30 pounds off..but I may have to...I have horrible luck with bras...I'll buy a perfect one but when that one wears out and I go back and try to find the same model..they've changed it somehow and it stinks. I have to have underwire or my packages are all over the place. Any suggestions?

OFf to slimfast..and start this week conscious of my eating! :)

Yes, I watched it, then I went through my drawer of bras. I had so many different sizes from over the years that I never got rid of. I tried on a bra I haven't worn in a decade and it looked great! I asked my DD what she thought (she watched the show with me) and she said, "You know, when they said a different bra could make you look thinner I didn't believe them---but Mom, you DO look thinner!" Now this is from an 11 year old who doesn't need to wear a bra yet :rotfl: .

The thing that I had been doing is wearing a 'band' that was too big and it was riding up. I was wearing a size 44 band and now I am wearing a 38 band and it looks really good! They said on the show that most women make the mistake of thinking they need a bigger band size than they really do and you want you bra so stay even all the way around on the band.

SO I boxed up my non-38 bands this morning and I have bought 3 new bras so far and later today I am out to buy some others. I found a type I really like, but can only find 1 size 38D at each store in that style. So I figure if I got to Meijer, Walmart and Target, I may just find enough for now.

Glad things are looking up for you, Linda! Thanks for the kind words! :sunny:

To all else: Keep rockin'!

I took on a big project this weekend. I decided I needed to have some room to do my workout tapes, and for that, I needed to reorganize some furniture. I'm in a fairly small house (about 1250 sq.ft.) so there isn't a whole lot of spare room. I ended up mounting the TV in my bedroom on a wall mount at the ceiling, moving my bookcases into the bedroom where the TV had been, and moving the couch where the bookcases were. I may still end up reversing my living room, which would involve moving about 6 pieces of furniture. All this took about 6 hours, mostly moving books, and I'm sore as heck today, so I think it definitely counts as exercise.

Then today, the weather was finally nice, so I rode my bike to work, only to remember just now that I have a dentist appointment at 3:00 and no car to get there with. :confused3 And I forgot to bring a lunch in to work with me, so I'm riding home for lunch (20 minutes of my hour lunch break, so doable) and getting my car so I can get to my dentist appointment this afternoon. Not a good day to start riding my bike, but such is life. By the time I get done with Curves tonight, I'm going to be so sore I can't move, but at least its a good sore.

Linda-I have a sister and father who are both borderline OCD and refuse to admit it and get treatment, so I understand that. My sister isn't too bad, she limits it to a few quirks. Dad is worse though. He is a compulsive workaholic and delegator, and a type A personality besides, so he has his days that everyone in the world hates him. For example, he can't stand to be in the same place for too long, literally, so he will take 10 trips to do what could be done in 1 because he won't stay long enough to get a full load. Anyway, I'm glad you are making the effort to get your DD treated, it will make such a difference in the lives of those around her all her life.

Good Morning Losers!!

Made it to the fitness center and worked out for about 60 minutes!! :cool1: Haven't been there in weeks and believe me it was tough..........died working on the elliptical machine. :rotfl: Used to do 30 mintues - went into cardiac arrest after 15 :rotfl2: All in all felt really good.

DD17 had a rough day yesterday but it was a school day so I know alot of her issues are tied into what happens at school. She has a therapy appt this evening so hope that will help. ::yes::

10 more days of work!! :hyper: This will be the first time in my adult life that I am taking the summer off :jumping1: Cannot wait to be BORED!!!!!! (Have a feeling that I won't be:):)

Lacerta - GOOD FOR YOU!! Making your home for acceptable to your new lifestyle!! :Pinkbounc AND riding your bike to work.......now you just have to get alittle more organized and remember the lunch and the dental appt. :rotfl: Personally I block all dental appts out of my mind :rotfl2:

DJ - Thanks for the tips!! Now if you could just tell me which style is the best for me :confused3 I tend to NOT buy bras because I never know which is the best for me. I keep telling myself that when I do get down to my goal range I will reward myself by going to a small bra/lingerie shop in town that have expert fitters but you are paying EXPERT :rotfl2: prices!!

Tara - During this time with DD it has become waaaaaaaaaaaay toooooooo eaaaaaasy to fall back into bad habits and realize how much I like eating......really really not good :sad2: So for the two of us it is back to the basics and one small step at a time. My accomplishment last night was to NOT eat after 7:30 last night :cool1: Boy oh Boy was the kitchen YELLING :earseek: my name around 10pm.....have to figure out a way to mute it :rotfl2:

Thanks to whoever suggested Jorge Cruise 8 minutes in the Morning. I actually got the 8 minutes in the morning for easy weight loss. Has a whole section on emotional eating which of course I couldn't look at while I was emotionally eating these past few weeks........am recommitting to reading the book and dealing with my emotional eating issues.

Keep Moving and Keep Losing!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

I have not had a chance to get online since Friday. The zoo was great, we packed a picnic lunch and ate before we went in. The kids had a blast and enjoyed the nice weather. Their favorite part of the zoo is feeding the giraffes.

I did fairly well this weekend staying on program, and I have lost the the rest of the 5 lbs I had put back on. If all goes well, I am hoping to see at least a small lost this week so I can get back on the negative side.

Linda - I am glade your daughter likes this therapist, hopefully now your daughter will start to get back on track.

Lacerta - What a great way to get that exercise in. How far do you live from work?

Regina

Boy am I aching this morning. Mostly from the bike seat :rotfl2: Comfort seat my left toe! :moped: Ouch!

I ended up making the day work yesterday as follows: Rode my bike to work (about 2 miles), realized I needed the car, mom picked me up and we went to lunch, dropped me at home to get my car, drove home after work, went to Curves, hubby dropped me back at work and I rode the bike home. Whew!

This morning, I remembered my lunch, but since I'm eating healthier, it took longer to put something together. Usually its a sandwich and soda, all the fruits and veggies took longer. So I was a bit late for work, but since my boss is my mom and she wants me to be healthy, I was off the hook. :teeth:

I'm now up to an hour or more of exercise every day, and eating about 1500 calories, so my only explanation for not losing weight is that I must be building muscle at about the same rate as I'm losing fat. I'll know in a week how the measurements compare to last month. Last year I managed to lose a pant size (and gain 5 pounds, go figure) just by riding my bike and doing nothing else.

Hello Fellow Losers!!!

It's been hard getting back on track since our vacation and I've managed to lose 1 pound of the 3.8 I gained while gone AND started my TOM this morning. Talk about timing  I was hoping to be back to pre-cruise weight by next week, but with Memorial Day coming up, it'll be tough.

Everyone keep up the great work!!!!

HI all!!!!!!
Just wanted to pop in and say Hi and hope everyone is doing better. I feel good (nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh NUH!)

Morning Losers!!

Just a quick HI  to all my friends.

DD17 has taken one step forward and now she has taken 3 steps back. Felt so horrible from lack of sleep that I let her stay home yesterday (first time for that) :sad2: She did see the therapist but seems to be in a real funk. Calling the peds doctor again today because she keeps complaining of nausea which shouldn't be. :confused3

Did take a 45 minute walk with DD20 yesterday. Won't go to the fitness center today - will be waiting for phone calls AGAIN ::yes::

Just need to get her through 7 more days of school.........

Hope everyone has a good day...........Hang in there (that is what I keep telling myself :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

I went to Weight Watchers today and I was FREE!!! I am a lifetime member and as long as you are within 2 pounds of your goal weight you don't have to pay (providing you have weighed in the month before).

Well I was only .8 above my goal!!!! Now this isn't REALLY my goal, it is the highest limit WW will let me set for my height, and I chose it so I would be FREE sooner. I still want to lose another 20 pounds. But now I can go weigh in each month and not have to pay. So I am excited today!!!

DJ

Morning All!! :wave2:

Yesterday was spent on the phone with health professionals......DD17 is now on xanax for the next 3 days to break the "cycle" and get her some sleep. The therapist is going to hook her up with a psychiatrist for some longer term meds.........I actually am relieved (so is DH)......hopefully this will help her find her way back to being the happy relaxed child I remember :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks again for listening........you guys are my therapy!! :grouphug:

DJ - CONGRATS to you!!!!! I haven't been to WW in three weeks. Am going today to save my membership but know there will be a weight gain. It is ok....I know I will be able to get back to me soon.

Have a Happy Thursday!! Keep Moving and Losing!!

And as always

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:
