14 days at pop, only 10 hopper offered?? ripoff

Ok, I never vent on these boards but I am really ticked. We are staying at POP for 14 nights next July. Called WDW Travel, they can only give us a 10 day park hopper, the other 4 days we have to pay full price for. Basically, the 10 hopper for 4 ppl, waterparks included is $1228.00, the 4day for 4 ppl, 1094.00...???????? What the heck...we are staying for 14 ngihts, give us some discount of those extra 4days. NOPE..they won't. I'm telling you, between the new DDP and this, I am beginning to wonder about WDW! We told them you would rather lose us for 4 more days of spending, then give us a couple 100 dollar break on a 4day pass. UNBELIEVABLE!

WHEN you get there upgrade your park hoppers to annual passes. It won't cost anywhere near as much

Unfortunatly the 10 day ticket is the most days offered in the U.S. Did you price out annual passes for your group? Really you might enjoy some of the other things Disney has to offer(DTD, mini golf, Disney Quest....) or just spend a day or two checking out other resorts.

The hopper does include disney quest. The annual pass is $477.12 per person which is about $1808.48 more money. I just don't get it. Just add 4 more days to the 10day pass...which would be another $512 and let us spend 4 days more in the parks.

a 10 day park hopper with water park options is 340..an annual pass is 477..It's 137$ per person more for the ap(and some change)..That should be around 548 $ more for the 4 of you...You can also use that AP to come back 11 months or so later for FREE, plus get potentiallly great room discounts

OK, I'm a little confused. Are you getting the 10 day hopper with the Waterparks and more? If you are, why do you need 4 more park days? You will have 10 days of waterparks or Disney Quest plus your 10 park days. Why not do the waterparks and/or DisneyQuest on 4 of the days and then 10 days of the parks? The park passes are good for 14 days from date of first use so your entire trip would be covered.

If you are getting the waterparks and more, the premium annual pass would be $616 so that is quite a difference.

With the AP you can also buy the Disney Dinning Experience card which gives you a 20% discount at most TS locations.

I told them I will spend the last 4 days of my trip at universal if they dont want my money
The days we go to the waterpark, we usually hit one of the parks at night, so I want the 14 days of park passes to do this.

How are you going to fit in 14 days of park hopping and the waterparks and more? That seems like an awful lot of running. As I said before your 10 day waterpark and more would give you 10 days of the 4 parks plus 10 days/entries into the waterparks/DisneyQuest.

BUt with the 10 day ticket you are buying you get 10 days at the park + 4 additional days at the WP's or Disney Quest.. You still get 14 days of park/disney Quest admission..
If you do decide to to do Universal, I would just get an 8 day ticket with water park and more, otherwise you won't even be able to use all of your ticket options

But the $477 AP does not include water parks. I would just stick with the 10 days at the parks I wouldn't buy the additional 4 days because you will receive the following number of Water Park/DisneyQuest/Pleasure Island/Wide World of Sports visits per ticket. 10 day ticket gets 10 visits to the extra options. So make a day out of TL, BB, and DQ. With 10 visits (remember if you don't make them non expiring they will expire 14 days after first use). BB til 2 go back to resort for a shower and nap and hit PI in the evening. Lots of things to do. Explore all WDW has to offer. Plus 10 days in the parks is alot. Dedicate 1 day to each park learn your favs and then park hop to enjoy the things you love most. Thats what DDs and I used to do. Take bus to MGM ride ToT and RnR, take boat to Epcot and ride TT and the Norway ride (name escapes me) then take monorail to MK (wait to ride in the front with driver). Enjoy!

No, your ticket is good for 14 days from day of first use. You can go to a park (or parks since you have hopping) on 10 days. You also have 10 entries into the waterparks/DisneyQuest/WWOS/PI that are good for 14 days from the first day you use the ticket as well.

So you only have 4 days of the 14 on which you could not enter a major park. But with the other options you would have plenty of other stuff you could do!

No...You are allowed 10 days at the 4 main parks plus extra days for the water parks + more option..You can do 10 days at the 4 main parks + 1 day at 1 wp, 1 day at another, and a third extra day at DQ and you can still go back to a WP another day.. You can use that ticket for 14 full days, it's just that you can ONLY do the 4 main parks(MK Epcot, MGM, AK) 10 of those 14 days.

Well, you can, just not every time...As long as you don't go to a main park more than 10 days. You could go to a WP every morning for 10 days then a main park every night for 10 days...Problem is you would have nothing to do the last 4 days... You could overlap for a few though
I like to take a day off in the middle..I just need a day to relax, hang out at the pool, go to downtown Disney and take in a movie..

You may be glad to have 4 *half* days where you spend 5-6 hours at a WP and then have a nice meal movie etc.. Disney is exhausting

Yep, you just have to have 4 days of your trip that you do not enter a main park. You can do a waterpark during the day and a dinner show at night. Other night-time options that don't involve the main parks are going to see Cirque du Soilel, going to the Boardwalk, Pleasure Island, the Marketplace, or watching the Electrical Water Pageant and MK fireworks from across the lagoon. You could even spend the day at the waterpark and do Disney Quest in the evening, although it will take up two separate water park and more admissions (shouldn't be a problem since you will have a bunch).

No you can go to a water park the same day you go to a Major park. I think you have the whole thing confused with non park hopping tickets. With non park hopping tickets you can't go to 2 parks on the same day (meaning you can't go to MK and AK in the same day but that only applies to AK, MGM, MK and Epcot) as far as I know you can go to TL and then BB in the afternoon unless something has changed. Going to a different site to read more info about it.

You could still do a park and a waterpark/etc. on the same day. Think of the park days and the waterpark or more options as seperate. So this could be your schedule

Day 1 - BB
Day 2 - EP and MGM
Day 3 - AK and MK
Day 4 - TL and PI
Day 5 - AK and EP
Day 6 - MK and BB
Day 7 - MGM and DQ
Day 8 - AK and MGM
Day 9 - MK, EP and PI
Day 10 - BB
Day 11 - AK and DQ
Day 12 - TL
Day 13 - EP and PI
Day 14 - AK, MGM and MK

Your entire ticket, park days and extras, are good for 14 days starting from the first day you use it anywhere. See why you really don't need anymore than the ticket you already have

You sure can! We never have enough time or funds to do everything, so I envy your 14 days and the option of going to the WP and DQ and then just hanging out and checking out the resorts. Before MYW, they had the 5 day hoppers with 6 free days of WP and my parents would go down for about 2 weeks so they could spend plenty of time in the WP and DTD and take in PI. Really with all there is to do in WDW, there's no reason to be bored.
