14 Day expiry on 14 day ultimate tickets

Hi there

I wonder if anyone can help. In the past, we have always bought 14 day disney tickets and they always had a 21 day expiry from first day of use. My immediate family are DVC members with DVC Annual Passes, so we are covered, but the remaining members of our family who are coming with us this year have purchased 14 day ultimate tickets through Thomas Cook (which I understand comes from the Keith Prowse Ticket Sales). We didn't realise when purchasing these tickets for our additional family members that they expired 14 days after the first day of use!

The reason why I am raising this is that we have booked at 17 day trip, so that we could have some days off in between and not doing 14 days straight in the parks. As we have one registered disabled member in our party, it is really not possible to go in every day and we must take breaks.

Has anyone had any luck managing to get Keith Prowse/UK Disney Ticket Sales to extend the 14 day deadline? We only need a couple of extra days. We have contacted WDW direct to see if they could wave their magic wand and help, but they said unfortunately it is outwith their control as they were purchased through the UK Disney Ticket sales.

When we went in 2007 our tickets expired 14 days from first use, not sure when this changed from the previous policy but doubt any company would be able to extend it. The UK multi-day tickets are particularly good value so I guess for visits over 2 weeks Disney want people to buy the 21 day ones.

as PP says the 14 day ticket has always expired 14 days after first use.Sure you didn't get 21 day tickets before?

We've had 14-unlimited passes every trip since 1999. It's always been a case that they have 14-days consecutive use.

The only thing I can suggest is that you back to you point of purchase and plead with them to change the tickets to the 21-day pass, and you pay the difference. If they can't do anything about it, then I guess the only remaining option, if you don't want to do 14 days straight in the park, would be to get a MYW when you get to Florida, to cover you for those last few days. At least that way, you can still go to the parks whenever, and have a break in the middle?

We definitely had 14 day tickets that didn't have to be used on consecutive days and expired after 21 days. We've used them for years and always go to WDW for 16-17 days so that we can have a couple of days off in the middle.

We have never had 21 day tickets.

That's why I just assumed that the recent purchase would be on the same terms.

Same here we have had AP for past 2 years but before that 14 day tix, always expired 14 days after 1st use, never heard of 21 days.

Why dont you do things which are not in disney the first few days then start using the tickets? thats the only way ur goin to get use out of them.

Also my tickets always expired 14 days after 1st use.

Thats what we are doing in August. Only have 21 day tix but there for 25, not doing Disney parks for first 4 days. On cruise for 7 days in middle when we can't use them but 21 day tix were best option.

We usually get the 7 day or 14 day hopper plus tickets too (since before they changed them) and always used them within the 14 days we have done other parks on a 2 day 2 park option which has worked fine for us doing either non-disney stuff the first week or second week depending on the time of year we go. We'll have the 14 day ultimate tickets for the first time this summer but we'll still pop to US/IOA for a couple of day since we have not been there since 2005. We are interested in the Simpson's Ride plus we want to get on to some favourites while we can. We'll still use the disney tickets too since US and IOA seem to close at 6 p.m. in September so we'll get our full 2 weeks use from them. As far as I know the rules have always been once the tickets are activated in the turnstiles you have 14 days to use them.
