4 Days!!!

I've never left for my vacation on a weekday before, and it feels really funny to realize that on Friday I'll be in Disney World. It's only one day, but for some reason it feels so much sooner than Saturday. I'm weird, I know.
After a bunch of thought I chose not to put in any kind of room request, or use online check-in. I was going to ask for an upper level room with a full balcony, but I'm just going to see what comes up. Go with the flow.

I am however debating on changing my seat on the plane. Right now I have a prime spot in row 5 on the way down. (I can be at the ME counter before everyone is off the plane.

) I keep getting nervous about fitting my carry on in the overhead. The flight wasn't anywhere near full the last time I checked last week, but the front of the plane was. I'm sure there will be room for my bag, but if they go stick it in the back of the plane I won't get off any faster than if I just sat toward the back anyways. I did a test run, and there is no way I can use just the personal bag as I would have liked. Stupid running shoes take up way too much space.
I've been looking at the weather forecast and it's been making me a bit nervous. Friday they are calling for thunderstorms, and Saturday they are calling for rain. (Actually most days rain is on the forecast). This is Florida, so I'm not overly worried about the daily rain, but I'm really hoping there is no rain during the marathon. I had rain during the 10K I did back in June, and it wasn't any fun at all. I have to be sure to bring a cap to keep the rain out of my face at any rate. On the other hand is that the one day there is no rain in the forecast is our pool/
MNSSHP day. I'll be very unhappy if I have to cover up my costume with a poncho.
I've been getting even more nervous about the race, but I keep trying to push it to the far edges of my mind. I have very mixed feelings on the whole thing, and am very glad that the race is at the beginning of my vacation so it will be over one way or the other. Then I can clear my mind, and focus on having some fun.
I think I finished up the last of my errands this weekend, and all I really need to do is put everything into my suitcase. A few t-shirts need to be ironed a bit, but otherwise I'm good to go. I have however run into a bit of a shoe problem. I had planned on bringing my new Keds with me as my secondary park shoes, but after wearing them around the Big E fair last Thursday I'm going to have to come up with a plan B. I don't know if Keds has changed the design of their sneakers, but after wearing them just a short time walking around the fair I was in utter agony. I've worn Keds for years, and never had my feet hurt like that. I was trying to hide it as much as possible, but my mother picked up on the fact that I was limping. I was very close to taking up my father's offer to hop in the wheel chair that we had rented for him for the day. Luckily I had brought my
Crocs athens flip flops with me, so after limping back to the car I was able to change my shoes. Once I changed my shoes I was okay for the rest of the day, although the neuroma in my left foot has been bothering me off and on since. Hopefully it won't end up being an issue at the marathon. I'm debating on if I can take the Crocs for a day at Disney. They felt fine at the Big E, but we were really taking it slowly for my father. Disney is much more taxing. My other choice is a pair of LL Bean water/sand shoes that I have. They are actually really comfortable, and great if it rains. (All the water drains right out - no sloshy shoes).
