12th May 2005, 3 Night Wonder Cruise

I requested late seating on our cruise last time and was assigned to early seating. They did change it for us. If I remember correctly dinner was about 1 1/2 hrs. so we should be fine if not we will just leave a little early that night.

Can't wait to see those fireworks.

Debbie

With booking semi late, we were assigned late seating. I think it's at 8:30. I've heard that's good since you can see the show before dinner and then not be so rushed at dinner. My only concern was with my folks (in their 70s). They seem to like dinner earlier and earlier.

I can't believe the counter is about to go into the 80s after today! I need to get busy and get our passports squared away. DD doesn't have one and mine is expired.

Everyone have a great day!

...what time is everyone else dining?
DD and I opted for the late seating as we tend to eat around 8-ish at home. :flower:

:cheer2: Woohhoo, Now it's less than 3 months to go !!! :cheer2:

I've been away on a shopping weekend to Manchester, to start getting some things in for the cruise. I bought a lovely black skirt, a Mickey Mouse beach bag and some sunglasses, SO I was away yesterday for our 3 month countdown - yippee. I hope that all your planning is going well.

Just a quick question, what time are you hoping to arrive at the DCL terminal ? We are hoping to get there nice and early, about 10.30ish, so that we'll be one of the first onboard (hopefully).

HI Mandy and everyone!

Not shopping yet but making my mental list! You DD wrote to my DD that you guys had a big shopping weekend.

I'm not sure about our flights but I think we get into MCO around 10:30-10:45am. So I doubt we'll be at the ship until 12-12:30pm. Probably when the other 1500 people all line up.

Question for you...When you disembark and Disney is taking you back to MCO, how is your luggage handled? Do they:
-put it on the same bus you're on and you get it at MCO?
-deposit it at some place at MCO and when you get off the bus, you pick it up?
-Does disney check it for you with your Airline and you don't see it till your home airport baggage claim?

Since Callie and I are going to WDW and folks on home, am just trying to see if we need to have everything with us for the WDW portion or can we get a bag at MCO and then go on to WDW?

Time is going isn't it!

Everyone have a good week!!!
Sharon

Hi Sharon

I'm sorry I can't help you with transfers, as we fly in the night before and have a hire car

We'll have to find out when we are all able to meet up for a Bahama Mama once everyone is onboard

I'm getting far too excited now, when it gets to about 8 weeks before then I find myself waking up in the night thinking about lists and tickets

12 weeks to go now !!!

mandymouse :earsgirl:

Good morning all! (at least in my part of the world it's morning--isn't the net something!)

Not quite making lists yet but making mental notes for things like nightlights, over the door shoe holders. Mandy, if you know of any more things like that that someone wouldn't normally bring on vacation, do share. Don't have too much time to search out right now.

Callie is real excited about meeting up with your girls. She didn't know they had movies on board (thought she knew that!). She loves, loves going to movies. She's let me know that I may not see her much. LOL

Set my work computer background on a beautiful picture of the ship!

Got to go do some work. Later, folks!
Sharon

Thought I'd bring our little thread up to first page. I think we're 68 days out. I need to add my new counters!

For our party, changing our who is going. My folks were going with us and while Mom still is, Dad (at 77) got his dream job--marshall at the golf course--and he doesn't want to miss work. So checking with Disney to see if we can substitute my sister. So will be me, DD, DM and DS, a girls only trip. That is if Disney can made the changes.

I'm such a vet at WDW that it feels really strange to be a total newbie again with DCL. Haven't had a chance to buy a book but will try to get one this weekend.

Going to go see about counters.

Hi to everyone!

Hi everyone

  Woohoo, it's only 2 months to go !!

The time is going by so fast, it will be here before we know it.

Are there any other dis-ers on our ship ? Otherwise it is going to be a very quiet cruise. Please join in on our thread and say hi.

Apart from our Pirate outfits (well I've bought one), we are pretty much organised and raring to go. I CAN'T WAIT !!!

 :banana:Woohoo, there were fireworks on the Wonder this week, I just can't contain how excited I am

Hi everyone! Did some counting yesterday at work and believe we are 53 days out for the cruise! Travel channel had the DCL show on last night. Seen it a couple of times but loved seeing again!

I'm 4 days out from our Spring Break trip. Will get most everything together this weekend. Need to do some last minute shopping for that.

Mandy, meeting up for a Bahama Mama sounds terrific! I'm sure the girls will want to meet up right away.

Better get going and start the day!

Sharon

Found our thread on page 4! By my count we're at 32 days! Am warming up fo rthe 30 day dance! So Monday morning, will do the dance and hope you folks in the UK and France will join in!

I saw someone rec'd their documents for a cruise in May already so I figure in about a week, we can start watching for that packet. Am really curious about what's in it.

I saw that while the Space Shuttle is scheduled for lift off from Port Canaveral on 5/15, the launch time in 3:50pm. I was so hoping it would be early morning and we could have watched from ship. Wouldn't that have been something.

So HI from Callie and I to everyone. Am looking forward to meeting over something cold, fruity and w/lots of rum!

Sharon

How exciting to get your docs! Our haven't come yet and anxiously awaiting them!

Still a couple of things to pick up that I keep forgetting everytime I go to Walmart.

28 days! Where are the other? Debbie? CustardTart? Concinelle?

Wow! I woke up this morning and said to myself that one month from today instead of getting up to get ready for work, we will be getting ready to dock at Castaway Cay. Now that it's less that a month away, we're getting excited. I feel bad that I haven’t been keeping up with everyone on this thread. Sorry been busy with work.

Just to reintroduce us. I’m Debbie37 cruising with my DS7 name Bryan. We are assigned to CAT11 cabin 7127 late dining seating. We live in Port St. Lucie, FL about an hour & 15 mins south of Cape Canaveral. I noticed everyone is from somewhere different. Is anyone going to the parks before or after the cruise? We aren’t, our school’s summer vacation starts June 3rd. We are not planning on any excursion, we may try take the bus in Nassau to Cable Beach. Originally we were suppose to cruise on the 4-night 9/19/04 cruise, but after the confusion and mess with the hurricanes this year. I decided to reschedule our cruise to May.

This week I’m going to work on a packaging and shopping list. I gain a few lbs since last summer and is having a small problem fitting into my shorts and bathsuit. Not sure if I understand the pirate evening, so please correct me if I have it wrong. Instead of dressing for dinner on Friday night (Nassau), you can dress up in a pirate theme outfit. I’ll feel silly if we are the only ones dressed up as pirates. My DS has his outfit and sword ready. I haven’t received our documents yet, but last year it was about 7 days before we set sail when I received them.

I hope everyone is as exicted as we are and that everyone has a safe travel to the ship.

Debbie

Hi Debbie & Bryan

Great to hear from. Yes time is flying by and before we know it we'll be on that 'Wonder'ful ship. As for Pirate Night, we will (I think) be dressing-up in our Pirate gear for dinner, unless we are at Tritons, as I always think it's nice to put nice clothes on for there, and then we'll change after for the party.

I hope that you receive your documents soon.

mandymouse :earsgirl:

Mandymouse,

Since you received your documents, I’m curious if you were assigned to a different cabin than you were originally assign to in the begin. In other words, did you get an upgrade?

Debbie

Hi Debbie

No our documents quote the Stateroom number that we booked. We were upgraded on our last cruise in April 2003, again our documents arrived with the Stateroom that we had booked (Cat. 9) and then a week before our cruise DCL rang to tell us about our free upgrade to Cat. 6 and to tell us to change the Stateroom number on our luggage tags. We have booked a Cat. 6 for this trip cos we loved the verandah, so I doubt we'll have an upgrade this time.

Fingers crossed that you will get upgraded.
