...

I remember the weather on Christmas day all too well! We had taken the morning slow too and after we woke and watched the news about the weather, it did not look good. At that point the weather man was talking about tornados....then we went to watch the weather on the balcony while we called family back home! I just remember the clouds moving really fast which reminded us of our trip to WDW in August 2004 and Hurricane Charlie!

what a lovely way to spend Christmas Day...:cloud9:

Some day I want to do Disney at Christmas, unfortunately the hubby isn't allowed to take time off November - January. I'm still trying to devise an elaborate web of lies for his employers that will get me my December Disney fix. ;)

Great installment! :thumbsup2

Michelle,
Sounds like a perfect Christmas morning. I love to just relax and enjoy the day with family. :cloud9:
I have to agree with Jo, seeing you all bundled in sweaters and such, is odd for us summer travelers! ;)

It sounds like a perfect Christmas, Michelle, even with the stormy weather! Enjoying your trip so much!!

I just love both your TRs! I am home sick today so I read them both. Thanks for making me feel better! :thumbsup2

There are so many things I want to comment on but I can't remember them all now!! However, I did want to say that we are DVCers also and we own at the BWV. We love to walk at WDW and frequently take the MGM path, and Epcot after Illuminations is one of my favorite places to be. :wizard: Oh, and we're "foodies" too! popcorn::

You have a lovely family -- thanks for sharing them with us!!

Kristen

Wow, that makes me wish I could go to V & A just for dessert! Somehow, I bet they frown upon that, though ;)

Given how crowded the parks are rumored to be on Christmas, you probably made the best decision to just have a low key day! There are times I think I could spend a whole trip just hanging out, and never even make it to a park!

Michelle,

Despite the weather, it sounds like you and your family had a wonderful Christmas Day. :goodvibes

Also wanted comment about all the yummy dessert pictures in your previous installment.

Anxiously waiting for more popcorn::

I love this trip report.

Loved the pics! It was exciting seeing what you were doing the same day as me!

Wow Michelle your photos are breathtaking so worth getting up early for. You did so much in those first 3 hours :thumbsup2

Beautiful pics! Makes me miss MK even more!

Oooh, pretty pictures. The one with the dark pinkish castle and the dark sky is amazing. I luff it!

Oh, I'm dying to read about the surrey bike! :rotfl:

Loved the EMH pictures from MK - gorgeous, especially of the castle!

Guess what? Jay and I now have a 1-bedroom over at the Boardwalk for our trip in October (we had a studio at BCV but we really need the extra sleeping space in case he decides to snore! And I love the jacuzzi tub - ;) ). So now we'll finally get a chance to compare it with Beach Club and see which we like best.

Hope we get a chance to run into each other! :goodvibes

OH MY GOODNESS! You make me want to meet the sunrise every single day! WOW! Just beyond beautiful!! In one one word...WOWZA!!

I love the photos of the castle in the dawn light! And I like the picture you you and dh holding hands walking toward the castle so early in the morning.

I am looking forward to even more (YEP...give me an inch and I want three more! ;) ).

THANKS FOR SHARING (again).

PS did you really buy that Mickey and Minnie?! How neat!

Those pictures are gorgeous!! That was worth getting up early! Sounds like you were able to make the most of the EMH and got out of there just in time!

See, aside form entertainment value, this is why I read so many TR's - I learn something new or get inspired to try something different with every read... you just convinced me to give an EMH morning a try!
Those sunrise pics are just incredible. And walking on to every ride? Fantastic! :cool1:

Between your pictures, your wonderful writing style and your loving family, you have really brought forth the magic of Disney! :grouphug: I am going to be so sad when this TR ends! :guilty:
