...

I too was touched by your sentimental post. I think your family is so lucky to have each other and they are lucky to have such an awesome mom! My hubby and I have just embarked on our first few trips and KNOW we are Disney people and will be abck time and time agian... there will hopefully be kids in our future and whats a better excuse than to bring your kids to see Disney! Can't wait to read more of your TR... now i better get crackin' on mine!

Well, 2 days down, 13 to go! It's so surrealistic writing this trip report. It's hard to explain. This obviously wasn't your average WDW trip, and I had that in the back of my mind the whole time we were there. Contrary to what people might think, we are NOT rich. We do not go out to fancy restaurants all the time, and I shop at Wal-Mart like everyone else. I clip coupons and go clearance shopping. We saved and saved to go on this vacation, and then when Steve was hired back into the company he used to work for, he got a really nice signing bonus. We all talked about it and decided to make this a vacation of a lifetime! It was the perfect timing, especially since Jordan was going to be graduating high school and will be off to college soon. We started what I now call our 'Disney Decade' in 1996, when the kids were 7, 4, & 2. This trip was the big finale. Don't get me wrong. We will be going back someday, but it will be different now that everyone is grown up. Life moves quickly and you have to savor every moment, because it'll be gone before you know it! I am sad that my kids aren't little anymore, but I am also confident that I did everything I could to enjoy every day that I had with them while they grew up! As I sit here, typing this, I have a flood of memories from all the times we went to WDW as a family during our 'Disney Decade', and I smile. These trips have made us stronger as a family and it's a bond that will always be there. When I think to the future, I look forward to the day we can take our grandkids to WDW! Life is good!

Thank you all for being here!

Take care,
Michelle

What a beautiful sentiment. We are just starting our "Disney Decade" with our first trip last year. (DD 5 & DS 2)
I feel the exact same way as you do, enjoy every moment of their beautiful childhoods, as they grow quickly. I'm sure your children will have wonderful memories of the Disney family vacations and I look forward to reading along. Thanks so much for sharing! :flower3:

I just read your trip report from the beginning and now am hooked...can't wait for the next installment. We are looking at many of the restaurants you attended and i'm looking forward to reading those reviews or getting your opinions of them. Your pictures are awesome which is making us think about going during those weeks next time we go. Thanks for the great report and I can't wait to hear more!:)

Besides, this gave Brenna the opportunity to get her first bag of colorful M&M's of the trip at Seashore Sweets on the Boardwalk!

Loving the trip report so far!! Can you tell me the other places Brenna usually gets her Colorful M&Ms?? It looks like they have quite a selection of colors!! I would really love to pick up some fun colored M&Ms on my trip!

Hi. I'm pretty new here. Love it though. Seeing your video of Wishes made
me cry just like when we see it at MK.
Your family is beautiful & you may not be rich financially but you are rich with family love. (sappy I know)
When we went in 2003/04 it brought our family back together after seeming to drift way too far apart.(My husband & I were living is 2 different states as he started a new job & I was selling our house)

Must go & make lunch. Thank you for great tr, sandy

So glad I found this report. It is really great and I appreciate the time you are taking with it. The photos are breathtaking really. We leave on the 27th for seven days!

Totally understand the trip with kids, got all sentimental a few times reading...anyway, so true, enjoy them now. Mine are 11, 8 (turning 9 the day we leave) and 3. DH and I went to WDW for our honeymoon, took Bridget and Bryant four years ago, and now Amanda (who is princess crazy) can enjoy it. We are going to the P&PP, so excited for that. Hope my vacation is as magical as yours.

Thank you for TR!

You had asked if there were any requests for pictures.
I found your tr from the tread about tom sawyer island & the paint brushes
which I never knew about but we can't wait to go & find. (i'm only disney dreaming- we have no plans to go b/c of money or lack of it)
So if you have pictures of tom sawyer island I would love to see them to get an idea of what it all looks like. I read there was a fort to explore. Are there any counter service food places there? Thanks, Sandy

I love your TR and pictures. Your trip brings back
many warm memories of past stays at the GF. Vacationing
at disneyworld really is a dream come true! Anxiously awaiting
your next installment!:)

Great Pics and TR

How many photopass pics did you end up with .

We really enjoyed our quick meet.

We were going to try to make it Fri to the BW but DD lost her Cell so we spent time backtracking it to DTD where it was turned in from the busstops.

How cool is it that you were the first, and perhaps the only, guests to have a private tea :) And getting all of your hair done up, how sweet, and pretty. Can't wait for more!

I can see why you called this a perfect day! It sounds fabulous! That tea looked so good; it's a shame they don't do them anymore. I love the way they did your hair. I'm really looking forward to hearing about V&A's!

Wow I feel like this day couldn't get ANY better and now your off to Victoria and Albert's! :thumbsup2 The tea looked like so much fun and that must have been so nice to get your hair done!! Cant wait to read all about it! :)

Wonderful pictures!!

What a perfect day. I love the pics of the private tea. Do you think y'all were the first and the last to have one?

Thanks for sharing this trip with us...you and your daughters looked lovely. I can't wait to hear about dinner at Victoria and Albert's. I'll have to live it vicariously through you!!
