Well, 2 days down, 13 to go! It's so surrealistic writing this trip report. It's hard to explain. This obviously wasn't your average WDW trip, and I had that in the back of my mind the whole time we were there. Contrary to what people might think, we are NOT rich. We do not go out to fancy restaurants all the time, and I shop at Wal-Mart like everyone else. I clip coupons and go clearance shopping. We saved and saved to go on this vacation, and then when Steve was hired back into the company he used to work for, he got a really nice signing bonus. We all talked about it and decided to make this a vacation of a lifetime! It was the perfect timing, especially since Jordan was going to be graduating high school and will be off to college soon. We started what I now call our 'Disney Decade' in 1996, when the kids were 7, 4, & 2. This trip was the big finale. Don't get me wrong. We will be going back someday, but it will be different now that everyone is grown up. Life moves quickly and you have to savor every moment, because it'll be gone before you know it! I am sad that my kids aren't little anymore, but I am also confident that I did everything I could to enjoy every day that I had with them while they grew up! As I sit here, typing this, I have a flood of memories from all the times we went to WDW as a family during our 'Disney Decade', and I smile. These trips have made us stronger as a family and it's a bond that will always be there. When I think to the future, I look forward to the day we can take our grandkids to WDW! Life is good!
Thank you all for being here!
Take care,
Michelle
