Geeez, I thought you were goin' to confess you'd accidently killed Mickey in your mass mouse murder at your other house. You know that's unforgivable :lmao:

Not "Mickey", but my SIL snared 3 distant relatives with traps - 2 last night, one this morning.. Probably only about 2,356,978 to go............. :teeth:

We are going pretty much at the same time (but we are not starting at Disney) and we couldn't be more excited.

We haven't been there in two years so there is lots of new stuff. Really psyched about seeing Everest for the first time. Same goes for the new Nemo show at AK. I think we will even like the new car show at MGM.

And since we see that new TV commercial at least once a day we are getting a kick out of saying "OK, if you insist" instead of "maybe next year". :woohoo:

I can relate to your funk. We had a trip scheduled for last April, but had to cancel just two days before leaving. We rescheduled for September, but somehow I couldn't get into it again. (And I probably should say this was our first ever trip to a Disney park, with young children, so it was a BIG DEAL!)

The week before we were to leave, suddenly I had all kinds of things I should have been doing, and was scrambling. And the day we went to the airport, I was a little excited (and worried that I'd ruined everything by not re-creating daily schedules, lists of Must-Dos and Nice-To-Dos, and so on.)

No need to worry. I was almost in tears from the first cheery CM 'hello, and welcome to Disneyland!' We wandered a bit aimlessly when we first entered the park, feeling a bit overwhelmed, then hit our first ride. What a blast! And things only got better from there, we had a fabulous time, and I still wish we were there every single day.

You'll have a great time. I hope your fog lifts soon, but if it doesn't, it will once you're there. I'm so excited for you!!!

If you're not excited and your trip is paid for, I'll be happy to go in your place!!!!!!

I think vacations are very stressful and can take it out of you. My guess is that the first time you hear "When you Wish Upon a Star..." you'll perk up!

We go so often, sometimes I feel we are a bit jaded. It always seems like a chore rallying the troops and getting packed up to go. The older my boys get (13 &14), the more work it seems to be to plan. I understand how you're feeling --- at the moment. :sad2:

Once you arrive, things change - for real. It is magical and it is wonderful. Your family healthy, happy and together. You see the characters, hear the music and you feel you are where you should be. Don't stress about feeling excited now, or not. Hopefully, you'll get swept away and have a wonderful vacation. I truly hope you do. :wizard:

Well this is a perfect example of just how "uninformed" I am due to my inability to get excited..

Is Everest open now?

What is the new Nemo show?

And what new car show at MGM? :confused3

I believe Everest will be a little over a year old when we arrive.

The Nemo show will be open by then. The Nemo ride in Epcot is already open.

The car show is also new as of last year. Lots of cool stunts from what I have read.

There is also the cool new additions to PotC which we haven't seen. Forgot about those earlier.

Now I even more psyched than the last post. Only 31 more days till we hit the MK!

Mine ,MINE,MIne ,MiNe miNe

Thats all I need to say.

I'll be arriving at Pop Century on the 3rd. :wave2: You could look forward to spotting me and my fantabulous window display! I'll send you some of my excitement because people tell me I have a little too much.

I can shared some pictures from September 2006 to help you get in the mood. I have not been to WDW during the holidays yet---its on our wish list.

I understand! I went to Disney lots of times as a child and we went last October with our children for the first time. My problem is that we went on a Disney cruise this past summer and had the most AWESOME time that I am just ready to get back on the Disney ship. We are going for an extended weekend in December, but I am more looking forward to our next cruise! I know that once we get there we will have a great time, but I do understand where you are comig from! Have a WONDERFUL time!!!

Hey,

there's snow headed your way later in the week! snow and cold. Need I say more?

My DD just moved to Pensacola, Fl this past summer. so, I' will be going to Fl more than I used to. I can hardly wait.

herc.

C.Ann when the highway signs en route to Disney turn purple, you'll be fine.:earsboy:

Hey, how often do you get to go at the same time as an unruly toddler? Oh, wait... Well, you're going the same time as MY unruly toddler! ;)

I'm excited because we haven't been in three years and this will obviously be Russ's first trip. Which reminds me, I really need to make my last round of ADRs.

Just came back. I was the same way until the day before then I was excited. I think it was all the stuff I had to do to get ready.(cleaning , washing, pack all the stuff)

By the way the Nemo ride is kind of hokey but the seagulls outside the ride are hilarious.

The stunt car show is awesome. Very cool. :car:

The Everest ride is Great. Scared the beegeebees out of me.

They were starting to put up X'mas deco right after halloween so it will look very pretty.

Saw Captain Jack Sparrow at MK and that was worth the trip alone!! He looks and sounds and acts just like John Depp. AAAHHHH. :cloud9:

Here's some pixie dust and I hope you get in the groove soon pixiedust:

C.Ann, I'm right there with you! Our trip is 3 weeks away, and at this moment, I couldn't care less.

We have a lot going on right now (planning to sell our house and build a new one next year) and I am focusing/fretting about that. I think there are whole days when I don't even think about our trip.

This is our third trip, but the first time the only WDW park we went to was MK. What helps me regain some of the excitement is to read my guidebook, and see all the rides and attractions we haven't seen yet. There are entire sections of Epcot we haven't been to. I hope I get excited again soon!

We leave tomorrow for the Soap Weekend trip that I won and for some reason I'm just not feeling the magic. I sure hope that changes when we head for the airport very early tomorrow am. It seems like a chore getting ready and making sure everyone is packed. DD won't be home from school til later tonite because she's scheduled to work a reception this evening. Sprinkle me with a little pixie dust please!!
