$120.00 to add a person!

I had booked a split stay at POFQ and CSR for Dec 9-18 with the Passholder's Best Rate Program. I had originally planned to take my mom, but she changed her mind, so I decided to go solo and booked the rooms that way. Well this morning she changes her mind again and decides she wants to go, so I called to add her to the ressies and am told it would be a $50.00 change fee plus a $10.00 administrative fee to add her to each ressie (in other words $120.00). I asked the CM if she was sure, because I had heard that the change fee was now being waived and it wasn't like I was downgrading to a cheaper resort or going over the two adults to a room limit. She said yes she was sure. I asked her again to double check and asked if I could just wait until I got there to add my mom to the ressie. She put me on hold forever, then finally came back and said she had been correct and it would cost $120.00 to add my mom to my solo ressie whether I did it now or on arrival. She was really rude, so I told her I would think about it and hung up.

I called right back and got a really nice CM named Watson, who said as long as I made the change before 45 days out I wouldn't be charged. I reminded him it was through the Passholder's Best Rate Program and he said he would check. He put me on hold for just a couple of minutes, came back and said no problem. He made the changes and assured me both the confirmation number and the total price remained the same. What a difference between two CMs!

When we called about the Free Dining after it was re-released, we talked to 2 CM's who had no idea what we were talking about (even tried explaining it and still no luck ). We finally called a third time and the guy knew exactly what we were talking about and had no idea why the other people didn't know.

I guess the thing is to just call back if you don't get the answer you were looking for.

Being a passholder I read the best rate program thing a few days ago. It seem to lock you into that reservation just like the vacation packages. I didn't like the sound of that. I like waiting until the passholder room only discount code comes out and I wait to make a reservation then.

I hate the new passholder best rate program! I even wrote them an e-mail and complained about it. I too am one to wait until the discounts become available, then decide which resort I can afford. I hate beling locked into a ressie with a non-refundable deposit! I too am one who will keep calling back until I get the answer I am looking for. I believe they empower their people to make decisions on their own, and some are just better than others! And it is frustrating that some know more than others! They need better training programs, and they need to remember that we are spending a small forturne on our vacations and we need to be treated as guests just like Walt himself would want for us to be treated!

I too had an issue with having to call back over and over....They kept telling me that the last 4 nights of my 2 week stay the passrates were not avail yet, but then a day later i booked another resevation for some family members and they got the passrates for the dates!!!? I called back and checked on MY rates again and AGAIN was told they had not released those dates yet! so i hung up and called back 3 more times, the last person i spoke to had no problem getting the rate for me?!? Keep calling them!

Down to 38 days until AKL!!!!!!!!!!!!
