Yes, even the fact that he and his "bros" dug the precise, exactly square hole in the cemetery himself. But again did you notice the kids didn't really go over and comfort him in his grief. Let's finish this season and finish the series - where else can it go. I don't need to see Meri get a husband or Janelle in her dream farm.

One of the kids, I think Logan, offered a hand to Kody to help him climb out of that hole and he declined. It would have been so easy to just take that hand and touch his child and thank him for helping. But he'd rather show off how strong his is and do it on his own.

The only way I would give Kody grace is if we had seen any hint of him reaching back out and making up with his OG kids. But we have seen no sign of this. In fact, Mykelti and Tony said something happened at one of those services that they won't come back from and they pulled away from them (they had been the only ones still in contact with them up to that point).

I was disgusted by what I perceived as inuendo between Robyn and Kody at the beginning of the fire pit scene. After that, I just couldn't believe they were sincere in anything they said.

there was a funeral/burial and a military memorial service. the funeral/burial is what was aired on the show this past sunday. the military memorial was organized by the Nevada National Guard and the photos THEY posted on their site show that k and r were seated up front along with janelle and several other people (some of the siblings, grandmother, christine/david). I have to imagine that the film crew would have had to have gotten permission and clearance along with releases to film ahead of time from the event's organizers so I find it suspect that k could have tried to just spring it on anyone. at the funeral/burial since janelle handled all the arrangements as far as the burial plot/creamation (k did acknowledge that he had to get janelle's permission to intern the cremains) she could have shut down filming in a heartbeat if she/the larger family were against it.

some reports have speculated that the fall out is b/c none of the k/r kids attended the military memorial service (it looked like on sunday night's show dayton also did not attend funeral/burial). there has also been speculation that the issue of garrison's 'estate' was brought up by k/r-

I think this second scenario carries the most weight b/c if you look at the national guard photos janelle is presented with the american flag which indicates that garrison formally named HER in his military paperwork as his next of kin (in absence of naming anyone the flag have been presented to k b/c he is the older of garrison's parents). if k had to get permission on garrison's cremains for burial that also points to pre-existing paperwork on garrison's part naming his mother (and potentially excluding his father). granted, garrison did not have a huge amount of equity in his home but guardsman can have 50K-500K in life insurance so maybe k and r were speculating about it or commenting on how k as the father should be in charge of things vs. janelle (k did say something about the 'boys' were handling stuff at the funeral home when he arrived and he was telling the 'to back down'-no one handles stuff at a funeral home unless they have the legal right to or has been given permission by whomever does). this just points, for me, to garrison having legally cut k out and k and r being b-hurt about it/making that known in a totally inappropriate setting.

The crew will not show up and take against the specific wishes of the majority of the family.

The producer lived a couple doors down from Kody and was very tight with him. No idea if it's connected, but that producer, who was with the show from the inception, has since departed.

The way they said it just felt really inappropriate in the setting of grieving for his son. I just felt like starting what was meant to be a somber moment with what I perceived as suggestive banter like that exposed an insincerity. I felt like there were other things in the subsequent episodes that were similar, where their true colors would show, just for a moment, and then they'd go back to the grieving parents act.

She also sort of growled in this past episode when she recalled how attracted she was to Kody's cowboy background. It was extremely inappropriate for this sort of episode.

How is it that Robyn, who cries at the drop of a hat, in EVERY episode, manages to stay SO strong and not shed a tear at all during these episodes? I find that so interesting.

The sermon/speech that was given at the burial was so nice. Funny in parts to give homage to Garrison’s sense of humor and touching in others with some not so subtle hints to the family to get it together. What a perfect way to end the service. And then Kody just HAD to make it about himself and go on about his dream. Yeah sure, totally believe that Garrison came to you in your dream to tell you to stop playing sad music. He could not just let it be about Garrison even at his own funeral.
