12 Hollywood Studios Rumors (A Disney Rumors video is on pg. 1) and (an update is on pg. 16)

I think that it would be great if D Sources rumors are true.
God knows that Hollywood needs it, right now it looks like a crappy version of Universal Studios.

Personally, I don't think Indiana Jones is relevant enough to the younger generation any more for them to invest big money in a ride. I would also doubt that you are going to see another Indiana Jones movie unless it is possibly a reboot. I am personally a big Dr. Jones fan but I am also a realist. I mean, US continues to expand on the Harry Potter theme but that is still relatively fresh and youth-oriented compared to Indy.

I think the park will turn into a Star Wars themed park. Star Wars is a huge franchise, bigger than Harry Potter, IMO. Especially with the 3 new films that are guaranteed to be made and the fact that Disney owns everything Star Wars related. I think a thrill park type Star Wars park with authenticate theming would kill the Harry Potter momentum without Disney needing to think about a 5th gate.
I know I am in the minority here but I hate Star Wars!! Not a fan and I sure would not go to a park devoted to it.

You're definitely in the minority with this one.

Star Wars is awesome, people even went to see the prequels even though they sucked. So if they make films that are at least halfway decent people will lineup in droves for them.

Those same people will do the same thing for Hollywood Studios.

In case people didn’t see it here’'s the link to the Disney Rumors episode where they mentioned this thread.

In reality, the French people are very accommodating and hospitable as long as you don't go in with an arrogant American attitude!

Nope!! My experiences with them .....THey are RUDE! Or -maybe it's just the French people at Epcot.....I'm not going to judge the people of an entire country based on the workers at EPCOT. But, the French at EPCOT have been very rude!!!! When we visited France in Epcot. The French woman that was working at the kids station (doing the France flags) made my daughter cry. My daughter was very shy and it took everything she had to walk up with her little fan. The woman was drawing France's flag on the kids fans. My daughter handed her fan to her and the witch asked her what do you want...(Obviously a flag...just like she was doing for the other kids.) My daugher (four years old at the time, shy, and nervous) was unable to get the words out. The witch then yelled out WHAT DO YOU WANT...I'M NOT A MIND READER)....I was so upset! :sad2: I told her she wants a flag drawn like the one you just did for all of the other kids in the line. She drew it and kind of slapped it down on the counter to her. We walked out and she couldn't hold the tears back another minute. She cried her little eyes out!! That is not suppose to happen!! We decided to try giving it another chance last year. This time we went to the resturant and the French people were rude there as well...So--we are done...

Ok one more, this time a restaurant name. Sarlaac Pit BBQ, serving Boba (Fett) Tea and Bounty Hunter Brisket.

Pork sloooow roasted over a thousand years.

I think the new list is still pretty unlikely. Although I like the Star Wars Land with three rides/areas. That sounds very reasonable! I hope we hear soon. Pandora & night activities in AK and Star Wars & possibly Cars/Incredibles at HS will be an absolutely AMAZING 1 - 2 punch!

I wonder what would be a new name for HS?

Whoa, you should report them. These people sound evil. Maybe Disney will send you something or at least fire these jerks.

I'd be surprised if Crushes Coaster was coming to DHS - its fairly infamous in DLP for having low capacity and very low reliability.

Yep, I've heard that to. I think the loading and unloading process slows things down. They should just eject the passengers when it's done. :thumbsup2

There's lots of things they could have done different - split into two lanes for loading/unloading or maybe unload in a different area, and of course it so needed FP as well.

I think Disney's Hollywood Adventure has been tossed around. Shifting away from the "Studio" aspect and focusing on the adventures within the movies, themselves.

That's not at all what I was referring to. The French people who work at Epcot are not any way representative of the majority of people in France! Actually, in many ways they are just the opposite. After having lived there for over two years and traveling extensively around the country I certainly have a good feel for this issue.

Wow... So much stereotyping/misunderstanding in one post.

Sorry your daughter was upset... But beyond that you're way off.

Lol... Let me ask you a question...

If you were a 21 year old college student, lived in subsidized housing and had approximately $200 of free cash a month to cover all your personal expenses...what kind of a mood would you be in?

Because that's the Walt Disney world "college program"...

Now take the same scenario and add someone who speaks French into it... That's the Walt Disney world international program.

Now, they do a "good job" of stocking those programs with kids whose parents pay the way... Eliminating the threat.

But to classify " French people as rude " based on a couple of comments or looks from twenty something's stashed in EPCOT is laughable. And it would apply to all the countries...

You think Canadians don't get frustrated? I wouldn't give the girls in Norway a second look for fear of what they might do to me either...

As far as the French being rude... That is one of the biggest myths on earth. If you shout in English over a crowd in a Parisian bistro - then they're gonna ignore you...

How rude? Imagine how somebody attempting to order pizza in French in manhattan would be treated?
It probably would involve an ambulance.

It's all relative.

Which really changes nothing... But whatever they feel makes some sort of psychological difference - I suppose

But remember how worked up people got when they changed it from Disney/MGM? No doubt changing the name will truly upset some people.

IMO, those people should find something more important to worry about.

Those people are nuts...

All they need to do is build the "escape from the Death Star" 4 dimensional coaster and then they can call the park "Disney's Hollywood dumpster adventure" and I'll show up

My bet is on Disney's Hollywoodland. At the Frozen stuff this summer, they said Hollywoodland a lot.

I don't think they will go with Adventure somehow. It will look like they are copying Universal too much.

Just my guess based on pretty much nothing ;)

For the purposes of theming and cohesion, I'd like to see the DHS makeover done like this:

Hollywood Blvd and Sunset stay the same. You, the guest, are walking the streets of Hollywood when you enter the park. From there, each land is represented by a different studio -- LucasFilm, Pixar, Muppets, Disney Animation Studios. As you first enter each land it's themed to look like you're stepping onto a studio lot where production is taking place. The farther you go into the land, the more immersive it becomes until you are a character within that world. The movies have "come alive", if you will. This would allow a smooth transition between the front of the park and the different lands and makes for a sensible storyline for how you get from Hollywood Blvd to Tatooine, for example. It also gives Disney a very broad and flexible framework with which to work, now, and down the road. Indiana Jones and Star Wars "go together" within the same land because Lucasfilm is the theme for the area. It's not Star Wars land with Indy stuck to the side (or needing to be demolished). If they created a Disney Animation Studios land they could throw together any of their films and there would still be cohesion because that land's theme is all things Disney Animation. (And they could fill it up with as much Frozen as their little hearts desire.) Lastly, if they went this route, I don't think a name change would even be necessary. (Not that I care one way or the other.) DHS still works because that's what the park would be -- a collection of studios.

There's no reason to be rude to a child. I don't care if they lived on the streets.
