SOUTHWEST AIRLINES has opened up their booking window!

Booked our tickets for this trip!! Prices suck........but got the lowest they offered.

I knew you'd post here first about this!!!! And I hate to tell you sister - BUT I TOLD YOU SO!!!! You kept arguing "but when they open the dates we'll get a cheap rate"... HELLO - GAS prices? The bad thing about this is, I've seen the prices drop at the station for vehicles, but they won't DROP rates if the prices drop - on airline fees. It does bite - watch your language sister - this is a FAMILY site!

I'm not happy about the airline prices either - I just can't seem to catch up on money issues - now the dogs need their teeth cleaned and that will cost about as much as this flight! Holy crap!

Good morning everyone!

Back from 3 weeks in Europe, wonderful trip...some bumps on the road but we made it work!

Poohjen emailed me that the tickets had opened up- I will be flying from Long Island with Jenn's mom on the morning of the 30th of November - and Jen and her gang will fly in later that night.
My return flight is1:55 on the Sunday - one before that is 11:00 am - I didn't want to cut it that close.

Hannosmom - when are you guys arriving?

Peg, Janice and Jackie - when are u arriving?
I still have the II request in but no match - how is your hunt for a room going - if u DID get something thru your friend, let me know and I will cancel.

I have my tickets for MSNBC for Tuesday night.....

And u guys did the dinner resie for Sunday at Epcot so I am looking forward to spending the day there.

Unfortunately, in order to Segway at Epcot you need to pay admission as well so that won't work for me for Tuesday morning.

Am I missing anything else?????????????????

Welcome home Pat! Glad you had a great trip (despite some bumps).

Peg and I arrive on Sunday 12/2. Our plane lands at 4:25...so we'll be racing to check in, dump our bags and get over to Epcot in time for dinner. That process would be easier IF we knew for sure where we are staying! We are on the wait list for DVC. But never fear! The two sets of sisters already have our back up plan booked and will have rooms at POFQ if all else fails. We have till 10/18 (ish) to wait on the DVC wait list, and if that doesn't happen by then, we'll go with the cash rooms just down the river from you. Janice and Linda arrive on Saturday 12/1.

The Sunday dinner ADR is for 12 people....are Jen and her team joining us? If not, and it's just Linda/Sarah/Ed/Pat/Janice/Linda/Peg/Jackie...we can change the reservation to 8 people and probably all be able to sit together. They couldn't guarantee that a party of 12 would all be near each other (Pat, your sister is only coming for the cruise, right?)

I'm off to check on Peg and see if she want's me to bring over some lunch. Her puppies had teeth cleaning yesterday and the vet talked Peg into having Hope neutered (as well as having some teeth pulled)...so she's being pampered with lots of attention today...doesn't want her mommy to leave the room. (You wouldn't believe the pathetic looks this love puppy can give!)

Well, the puppies are doing better. Little MIss Hope (pitiful face) was screaming and crying (I'm not kidding!) this morning when I left for work, I had to go BACK into the house and sit with them both for a moment and tell them that I had Wednesday off and we'd all be together. Geez - now I am sure everyone agrees, that Peg having children would NOT have been a good idea. I would have raise MONSTER's and then been unable to forgive myself for letting them loose on the world.

Although, I will say when out in Public my dogs behave better than most people's kids! It's TRUE - I swear!

Two weeks before I leave for Santa Barbara and I'm really looking forward to seeing the ocean and sitting in weather that is in the 70's not 116 (which is what I heard it would be today!

Jen, I think getting to the port at 10:30 is the best, so you'd want a 9:30am pick up. Now if you arrive about 11:30-12:45 the lines might be shorter...but you could miss getting on the ship THE FIRST POSSIBLE MOMENT. Just arrive before 1P, as that's when the DCL busses from the resorts start to arrive, and you could get trapped in lines again. Arrive at 2PM and walk on the ship! But really, having a bit of wait time in the terminal is kind of fun...characters to see, ship model to peruse and DISers to meet!

Our dinner 'reservation' is at 6:40PM. We've got 2 hours.....with our 'connections' Peg , we'll make it! Although if we are at Port Orleans, we'll be using a taxi to get over to Epcot....actually we'll take a taxi to Beach Club and cut through the hotel and enter Epcot 'the back way'

I plan on a morning dip in Peg's pool (waiting for her to wake up and call me), then I plan on getting OUT OF THE SUN. It's supposed to be 117 here today. Sounds like a good day for movie watching and an afternoon nap, doesn't it?

Hi ya'll, thought I better check in. It's been a crazy week here. Our little min pin, Minnie had to go to the vet on Monday, because she was having trouble with her back legs. She's kinda spindly and being a min pin, she has a tendency to leap from place to place and sometimes hurts her legs.

The vet said she has bad knee problems and will need surgery. So we scheduled it for next week. $2K! There goes my face lift.

So, yesterday she started having worse problems, and today she could hardly walk. Back to the vet. She has injured her back. Bed rest, muscle relaxers and steriods for two weeks. She looked so sad and was in a lot of pain. But, a few hours after the first muscle relaxer, and she is one happy, loopy dog.

Unfortunately, she still needs the knee surgery, but we will probably wait until we get back from the August cruise. It's a good thing we downgraded to a Cat 12. I'll need all the extra moolah to pay the vet bills.

Edited to add: Forgot to mention we have also been taking care of an injured baby catbird for the last two weeks. He got munched by a dog, but has recovered very nicely. He's just started trying to fly and peck at food a little. It was like taking care of a newborn at first. Feeding every 20 min, 14 hours a day. Whew, I was exhausted. He gets fed every 90 minutes now. Meal worms are icky, but he loves them (and blueberries). There is a park here that will take him, get him used to being around birds again, then let him go when he's ready. Sadly, I am now quite attached to the little guy. <sniff>

Update on the bird...he/she is happily living with three other birds in the care of the wildlife rehabbers at our local park. The ranger said he was quite social.

I dreamt about our cruise last night...well it was a combination of this cruise and the Panama cruise. It was great fun!

It was a quiet and HOT 4th of July, we got to watch a few fireworks from our backyard .

Linda - I'm sad to hear about your little min pin - I know what you mean about vet bills, mine came to $1,200 dollars for teeth cleaning, extractions and Hope's uterus being ripped out - ok but she's NOT happy with the hormones going all bezerk right now. She's still wanting me around her every moment, but at least she's not sassing me, when I'm on the computer now at least I get a little break. I told her this morning, I'm going to be cutting back on all the babying... now that she's getting better.

Faith always jumps off the couch like a mad woman and then sprains her front legs - she often is limping around. Another reason I've got them on a diet - they are too heavy. Hope looks pretty good, but Faither aka Scooter, still looks like a sausage!

Where's PAT? I was hoping for a trip report from her Europe trip!

Any news - sister on a place for us to stay at WDW yet? Geez - maybe plan B should become Plan A?

At least we have the airlines booked now.

I wish I'd dream about cruising, I always am dreaming about work and it's usually not good.

Ok, back to work for me.
