12/5/09 -- DUMMY -- The Cruise Your Heart Desires Most ; )

Just a quick note, from Kevin's computer....mine crashed last night     Not sure what happened,I went to reboot and it wouldn't come back on. Hopefully his buddy will come over and take a look at it soon. Otherwise,Kev's gonna have to share for awhile! ;)

I hope it's an easy fix!

The Doc fixed me up...I was having a sharp pain which I hadn't had (as the Doc informed me...I had to remember that I just had surgery and things were healing) so...as of this morning..the pain is gone. But most importantly...I had an issue with one of my incisions and that is what actually took me in. Everything was fixed and I am feeling better. I am thankful that as far as recovering..I have been pretty lucky.

I'm glad that you are now doing better! :goodvibes

Thought I'd post over here too about the great deal I got at the Dollar Tree today.....Disney Christmas Cards for $.50 a box!!  I picked up 4 boxes(10 cards each),2 with Mickey and 2 with Tink. They also had Cars,Pooh and individual Princesses.

ooohhh..... Princesses......I'll have to go by there tomorrow and see what ours has left!

Hi everyone,
Desiree, I was just thinking of you and Tori yesterday, wondering how you were doing. I am really hoping to be taking a Disneyland trip sometime in the next few months, but just me with my youngest son and some of his friends....end of January/beginning of February. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Cheryl, Desiree, and everyone else not feeling well, I hope you get better soon. I was on the Magic a few weeks ago and got hit HARD with something stomache related....haven't been sick forever and it hits me on the cruise. Blah! Thank goodness for me, it was a 24 hour thing, so I hope you all get completely over it soon, but I feel your pain.

I'm so jealous that you got the chance to go on another crusie so soon! I am sorry that it involved being sick for a day though!

Happy New Year!

I hope that 2009 brings good health and happiness for all of us and our families!
Although 2008 was not all good - it did bring me all of you and for that I will always be thankful!

Just wanted to jump on and wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!
I am still deciding on about 3 different scenarios on the Dummy cruise I booked.
I think I found the most from our group on the 7/18 N. Europe cruise. We are considering that one too.

Hey, I'd take a do-over of the cruise. Not that I want to change anything but to spend 2 weeks with everyone again would be great.

Hey Steph! That would be great!! I was surprised how many of our group was on that one. That's why I picked that date (tentitively anyway).
It's funny. The Baltic cruise to Russia was my favorite iteneray from release but the price kinda turned me away. It actually is not completely an impossibility so we are strongly considering.

There are 3 places I have always wanted to go. One was Alaska (check), one was the Panama Canal (check) and the last was Russia so the desire is there.
Bill's dream vacation place is Bora Bora. We were going to go when I was pregnant w/ Megan but decided the plane ride was too long.

Wouldn't a "do-again" be great?
I am pleased to hear your Mom is better.
2009 is going to be a GREAT year!! :thumbsup2

For some reason I can't get Jon to commit to anything for 2010. :confused3 Of course I'm a planner and he is the king of *last minute*.
I like to plan details and know what's going on......he likes to decide to go somewhere and then a couple of weeks later be there with no plans!

A couple of years ago he went to Germany/Switzerland for 2 weeks (they did go to Italy for a day or two). This was a vacation trip NOT a business trip.

He did absolutely NO research and made no plans ahead of time!!!! I had bought him a couple of great travel books on the areas he was going and I sent him tons of links to things....he never even looked at the books and I think he just glanced at the websites......
You can bet money that if I had gone he would have had a chance to see a ton more sites and still had a great time! ;)
The only thing *important* that he saw was he did get to go to the Vatican. They (it was him and one of my brothers) arrived at the Vatican right before alot of the cruise/tourist tours started for the day so, they really got to see everything.

I agree with redoing the cruise!! I could find ways to have an even better time the second time around!

So behind on these boards:guilty:
Hope everyone is doing ok.

Note to self.......only eat when Debi isn't taking pics........:rotfl2:
check:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Same thing with us. Scared off by the price, then realized we could do it if I put in tons of overtime (still working on that:rolleyes1 )
Then saw how many PC repo folks were going and decided to transfer the dummy booking. Another DIS er posted a link to her webpage on her trip to the Baltics on another cruiseline with her then 10 year old daughter and that made me realize that even the kids could enjoy it too.
Hope you decide to go. Darren says I should put pressure on you (I think he had a great time with Bill on CC:laughing: )

Steph, Darren is the same way. All last year he refused to help with the planning. I think he eventually realized that was a mistake when I kinda bit his head off every time he tried to critique something:rolleyes1
I insisted he plan something for our anniversary in 2008 and he of course waited until the last minute. Now I've got our anniversary celebration planned for 2010:woohoo:
