12/5/09 -- DUMMY -- The Cruise Your Heart Desires Most ; )

What do you think? Could I wear the bride mickey ears on our 20th anniversary trip? We DID go to WDW for part of our honeymoon, but that was well before wedding mickey ears or any of that. Dan says I should only consider it if we are there for the actual anniversary (I'm sure it will totally embarras him even on that day! ;) )

A quick update and then I'm off to bed.

No surprises here then!!

Goodnight

David

HEY! ;) And to think that this week I have only been a total of about 2 hrs of awake time a day! :lmao:

What does Elvis have to say to that? Now, would be good time to have that birds and the bees talk with Samantha

:lmao: :rotfl2:

One of my dearest friends became a US citizen while we were on the 15nt cruise.

Pamela

I would totally wear them and it would embarrass the HECK out of Jon, too! :rotfl2:

The Pirate Zone discussion boards are still available. You can create a poll over there.

I have no idea at this point what I will be able to do. School will start either the 3rd or 4th week of August. Then there's that pesky job thing in which I may or may not be able to take any vacation time.

You must wear the bride mickey ears. :thumbsup2 A 20th anniversary is a miracle these days.:woohoo: :woohoo: I would wear them the entire time at the park!!:flower3: Tell Dan to just grin and bare it!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Do I dare ask......how is Trevoy doing in school so far??:confused3 :flower3:

BTW.....a job is a pesky thing interfering with having fun.:rolleyes1;)

Morning!

So eveyone is thinking August? I didn't know the points were lower than, cool! :thumbsup2 I still have points left! Just let us know. Next year Kaitlin will be in the tweener group at the SA summer day camp and is really looking forward to it. They are usually done the first week of August, so Kaitlin wouldn't miss it!

Wow! Something to plan and look forward too. I feel better now! :goodvibes

I'm not sure. We're interested to see what the group comes up with, because we miss all you guys!
That's what I was thinking too:thumbsup2
We would still love to go back to Aruba at some point though:cloud9:

Never lump British people in with Europeans :snooty: Britain is a world unto Itself ... have you heard the British Anthem:

The nations, not so blest as thee,
Must in their turn, to tyrants fall,
....While thou shalt flourish,
shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and envy of them all.

(Chorus)
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves...

When I was younger I thought the words were .. Britannia rules the World ;)
I was born in England, raised in Australia, and now soon to become an American citizen...
21-1.jpg
.. I am a child of the World.
Thanks:goodvibes I need to travel more:rolleyes1
Congrats on the US citizenship:banana:

:rotfl: :lmao: That is cute!! DH became a citizen in...1992! He was born in Toronto. Samantha (17) told Elvis (10) that it meant that she was half Canadian BUT, he wasn't. :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I used to tell my siblings that I was adopted and was not really related to them:rotfl: It's the job of the older sibling to take advantage of the youngers' ignorance;)

So...the planner in me is going crazy....

I can't figure out how to post a poll but I was looking at the calendar and according to what people have posted it seems like we have the following weeks (I just went Sat-Sat)

June 20-27
June 27 - July 4 (probably not the best idea)
August 1-8
August 8-15
Aug 15-22 (This would be my choice!)

Hopefully that is after everyone gets out of school and before everyone goes back.

June 20-27 works best for us:woohoo:
Last I heard I was going to Brazil in August 2009 for my brother's vow renewal so August wouldn't work for us.

Desiree, I'm not too far from DC so maybe I can run over and visit/stalk when you are there:confused3

I would wear the bride mickey ears, at least for a few hours and a few pics:confused3
Maybe not for dinner, depending upon which restaurant I was in.
Are you planning a special dinner ? DH and I go to Victoria and Albert's for anniversaries:cloud9:

HEY! ;) And to think that this week I have only been a total of about 2 hrs of awake time a day! :lmao:

I left out whole words in that sentence! *I have only been home a total of about 2 hrs of awake time a day this entire week.*

:lmao:
I'm the oldest of 4 and I LOOK like I was adopted! The younger 3 are really blond and blue eyed.
Dh's brother is also blond hair, blue eyed and fair skinned. ;)

I'm the oldest of 5 and I only look a little like my youngest brother. Although one of my other brother's friends said we do share the same handwriting:laughing: Really bad handwriting:rolleyes1

Got an email that they need parent volunteers for the concession stand tonight at DS's HS football game...so I volunteered:scared:

It is a madhouse at the concession stand:headache:

DH is laughing at me:rolleyes:

DS's marching band did get on the news as "Band of the Week" as their school played in the HS game of the week. Unfortunately, it is impossible to see him in the video as he is sitting too far over to the right:guilty: Plus they didn't get them marching, only playing in the stands.

http://www.wusa9.com:80/sports/highschool/band.aspx

The marching band was great on the field and so was the dance team. The football team...lost... big time:sick: ...but... we won the Chik-Fil-A challenge:woohoo:

We would love it if people visited with us! I am getting excited..except that pesky plane ride but I have to get over that part of it.

OK... just a quick posting...

.... here's SOMETHING FER NUTTIN'....

http://microsite.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/admission.html

FREE Admission to any one of a 100+ museums nationwide good only TOMORROW - Saturday. If ya manage to make use of this please post a little something as I'd be curious how much we all end up saving collectively. I'd be impressed if somehow this all amounted to over $100 or $200. I'm going to save $24 by visiting the Regan Library before our 1st AYSO soccer game ... then maybe afterwards I'm considering another visit to another near by museum I've never visited. Gotta double check the closing times though ... ok... it seems I can only (maybe) visit the MONA in LA... that's the Museum of NEON Art as it closes at 7PM... however it is not all that close. They close at 7PM and we might drive down - visit a bit then catch dinner in town? Well - after 2 soccer games I think we might pass and only see the Regan Library in the AM.

So I'll start by declaring we're saving $24 with this deal... http://microsite.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/admission.html

Otherwise ... may I wish you all a...

It goes way beyond the exc ratio - as in what a pound bought in similar/identical goods with dollars versus pounds. However, that said... rapid fluctuations and cross market purchases with either or currency yield bargains for one side - and the inverse for the other.

Yeah... so maybe I can get Andrew to offer a helpful sympathetic word or two, eh?

< chuckles >

Crash, I've passed this along! Thank you!

Crash, thanks for the museum post. I was going to take advantage of it after football today, but DS was sick most of the night, so we're staying in today.

Another free event, Oct 16, free night at the theater (live shows, not movies) http://www.freenightoftheater.net/index.cfm
You can start requesting tickets on Oct 1 and there are other dates available, not just Oct 16.
Unfortunately no shows near me this year. Missed out on it last year because I found out about it too late.

This explains in a nutshell why America / WDW / DCL is such good value for us :thumbsup2

Many people in the UK go to New York for weekend shopping trips now as they get lots for their £££s.
