We have AP's and are thinking of running down for Christmas. Have been in early Dec. before so have seen Christmas decorations. Are we crazy to plan to be there on 12/24 and 25 and fly home on 26th? Do most people have Christmas at home and then fly down the next day and spend Christmas vacation at WDW? Will the lines be unbearable? Tell me I'm not nuts. We have no extra vacation time, so extra days are out of the question this trip.

OK based on last year ...we were there from teh 20th until jan 4....dec 24th wasn't bad in the parks...we spent until about 11:30 at MK without huge crowds....then switched to MGM still wasn't outrageous... The 25th was a different story....MK was closed to the offsite people by 11:30am and AK was closed by 1pm.....it was very very crowded....

Zurgswife: As long as we are staying on property, we can get into any park even if it is closed because of crowds? What did you do on Christmas day if it was so crowded? Will we have fun anyway? (Of course, it's Disney, how can't we?) The worst crowds we've ever encountered were Labor Day in 2001. I'm hoping that we aren't disappointed in a quick Christmas trip but we'd like to go try it.
