next wed...i'm outta here as soon as finals are over...

I found out today that my 16 year old has a final during the LAST period on Friday...so we won't get outta here until 4:30. :sad2: By then we'll be in the heat of rush hour.... Oh well! I guess that means I'll have plenty of time to do all of the last minute stuff. (Trying to put a positive spin on things..)

Saturday should be a better day!

Docs came!!!! I am doing the happy document dance too!!!!

And yes, the Christmas stuff they are offering really is pathetic, isn't it????

Did you ever try to take yogurt and mix it with jello???? A trick I learned with weight Watchers. It tastes more like jello than yogurt.

If you're interested let me know and I'll tell you how.

I like yogurt, so I take it straight...but you could also try some of the kid varieties...I don't think they taste very yogurt-y but you still get some tummy protection.

The jello idea is a good one, too!

We were on the Magic cruise that sailed just AFTER the one that was cancelled. Disney called and offered us a full refund plus 50% off another booking if we wanted to cancel, but we went anyway. No one got sick but they were being extra careful about everything -- on the buffet, you were served by a worker and couldn't serve yourself and had guys in bright yellow suits (which we called the "CDA" cleaning the pools every night. They also didn't have the refillable mugs (this was before the current free drink policy) and instead just put a sticker on your card if you bought the drink program and gave you drinks in regular cups. But we had fun anyway.

Yep, they were still taking all those precautions weeks later when we cruised.

Wow, pretty generous offer on DCL's behalf.

for some reason every pair we've ever brought doesn't work in any of the studios or theatres....i think they jam them so people don't use them

[Wireless Geek Mode]Jamming wireless communication is illegal under Federal law, so I doubt Disney is jamming the radios. Probably the way the theatre is constructed for acoustics and sound isolation interfere with the weak FRS signal.

BTW, I am sure y'all know that those "10 mile" claims are based on line-of-sight, with no obstructions in between, under calm conditions with no atmospheric interference. That's known as "sunny day" RF planning in my line of work. If you get 2 miles, especially through walls, consider yourself lucky. [/WGM]

Just a note on the kid's stuff...it doesn't have the "Live Active Yogurt Cultures" which is what is the good bacteria that is supposed to be so effective. The kids stuff is basically milk and sugar.

Does anyone have "Tage" brand, Authentic Greek Yogurt. You must try this stuff. One variety comes with a little honey pack on the side. This stuff is pure heaven!! They sell it at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods around here.

Congrats, Kat...and yes, that stuff stinks!!!!

LL Bean has a really nice selection of fresh greens. If anyone wanted to ship it to the warehouse for delivery to your cabin, now would be the time to order it.

Also, last time Shirley from The Perfect Gift offered a really nice tree.

OK, never mind--scratch that idea!

I like mine with fruit and granola on top--like a parfait....don't even need for the yogurt to have sugar because the fruit and granola take care of that!

Probably going to whole foods later this week.......

I feel like this is a confession...: For the past 4-6 weeks I have been having a fruit smoothie with plain yogurt that I make every morning in my VitaMix. I have grown accustomed to the flavor and consistency of nonfat yogurt (I like Nancy's which Whole Foods also sells). I tried one of those greek yogurts, I can't remember the brand, and it was too rich for me.

Does it come in a nonfat variety?

Here's a REALLY sad story: I came home this evening just as the UPS guy was driving away. He dropped off a gift I had had gotten for DH. Still no docs!!!!!

It is very rich, but does come in Non-Fat.

Oh NO! :sad2:

That's OK, though, they WILL come, (maybe the driver just stopped at the beach!) and we'll all get to dance again! :grouphug:

I know! We live at the end of a cul-de-sac and it was dark and I saw him coming up the street as I was going down the street. Also, he was driving a bigger truck than he usually does so it made a bigger statement and I was SO EXCITED. I mean I AM glad that DH's gift came in time to wrap before he got home so I could get it in the suitcase BUT... I was pretty disappointed.

Maybe you're right and he'll come back. I doubt it, but maybe.

I'll check out that nonfat greek yogurt. I'm always up to try new things that are good for me

my mom was freaking out because the amount of paperwork was so thin compaired to before they had online check in. She calls me in the middle of class to ask me about it...lol
