Happy Friday everyone! How's it going wherever you are??

Robin, how are things going with your niece? Has she shown any improvement??

Things are pretty quiet here, thankk goodness. The local pd has finally turned all the paperwork, etc on SIL over to the prosecutor's office! Hurray! I have to write up another statement for them and get that turned in. Hopefully they will ghen get off their collective behinds and arrest her!!!! I swear, this is like a live reality show sometimes!!!! I think her life must have been scripted by someone, just not sure who!!!

Okay Kat, what did I miss about your SIL or what have I forgotten about why she is being arrested???

My niece is doing well. She still lives for the day she will return home maybe in a year, but will see. she has made some new friends and is going to school everyday. She gets along fine with all of us and we have no arguments. She sees and shrink every week and was just changes to to everyother week.

How is everyone else doing ....hope your all well.

Ahhhhhh....I always hate leaving OKW.

Hi everyone! Just checking in. Not much to report here. Brian is keeping us busy..he now has shingles! He's been thinking he had poison ivy or a rash or something, but it's shingles. With all he's been through, not a huge surprise, I guess. He also has an overnight field trip coming up that he has looked forward to literally for years. He'll go. It is only contagious to those who haven't had chicken pox or the shot, which isn't many their age. Also, they have to touch the area, and since it is covered that isn't likely. I just told him to "keep his shirt on." (It's on his back.)

Other than that, work stuff is finally winding down, and I'm trying to get my house in order. The boys get out of school in less than three weeks!

sorry to hear abt brian wth shingles..i heard they can be quite painful..hope he recovers quickly..
we did book anothr week at dw for sept..thy have that special deal wth free tickets to parks and free meal plan, but you have to stay at a value resort..we upgraded to mod. resort-port orleans riverside but had to give up park tickets,,didnt matter we have yearly passes..but free food plan is too good to pass up..
well gotta go
hope all goes well wth shingles..and they leave as fast as they came on...

what week did you book for the mex.riv cruise..
we are on the first one in may.. didnt like doing the maiden voyage but the points were alot cheaper..
im thinking about adding animal kingdom lodge to my list of resorts i have points at..dh suggested to sell hilton head and vero beach and add akl..im not sure yet..
robin is you neice going to come on the mex cruise wth you? how is she doing..i hope your sister appreciates what an angel you are..

Hi Everyone

Sherrena sorry about Brian. I had shingles a few years ago and it was the worst pain in my life. I would have rather given birth to a bus because that would have been less painful. I also had chicken pox as a child and a rather strong case of it. You can get shingles even if you had chicken pox. But it is more common in adults and known as a second case of pox.
Did Brian not ever have chicken pox? Hope he gets better soon and that he does not feel like he would rather give birth to a bus!!!!

Joannie, we are going to DL from July 20-26 and than on the cruise from July 27-Aug 3. Branden starts HS on Aug 7th? We did not use our pts because we have 400 and we would have had to use to many(3 years worth) so we will be staying at the GrandCalifornian in concierge park view...( week before cruise)that will be about 444 pts give or take for the 7 days. We still have 334 pts left from Dec 2006 so we will bank 50 and use the others for DL this summer. We get our 2007 pts in Dec and will use those for July trip. Than 5 months later will get another 400. My niece will not be going with us. I told her mom that we were already booked so she will need to make other arrangements. She may be returning home that summer...will see

Well have tons and tons to do today and I mean tons....I keep procrastinating today and time is slipping away Have a great day and will check in later

Hey everyone!

Thanks for the good wishes about Brian. I'm pretty sure the stress related to his broken arm and the resulting surgeries probably brought it on. The good news is that according to friends kids don't seem to suffer as much from it as adults do. He has had it for a week, we just thought it was poison ivy. He barely complained about it, just told me if he left it alone it would go away. I did make him put some cream on it, but other than being a little irritable he didn't seem to be suffering too much. Now that we're full-out treating the symptoms, hopefully he will feel much better.

We will spend a weekend at the DVC Hilton Head resort in early August right before the boys go back to school. Then we're going to the World right after Christmas. OKW... That's the only Disney related travel we have planned.

Dave just took another class this weekend and is going to Gilboa next Sunday (May 20) and then sometiime soon is going to go dive the Oriskany. And in June he is going to dive near Jacksonville when we go down to see my dad.


Sherrena, it will be June 9 or 10 I think. Sam gets out of school on the 8th and I'd like to leave early the 9th. Dave said something about the 10th so I just don't know for sure but I will keep you posted.

Tomorrow is our 16th anniversary!! We are going to dinner at a wonderful local Japanese restaurant and then getting my Tinkerbell done!! I am so looking forward to it. Hopefully she won't hurt as much as Pele did!

Dave was talking to one of his buddies the other night and mentioned that Friday is our anniversary. Adam asked him what we were going to do and he told him. Adam couldn't believe that I was getting a tat for an anniversary gift. He told Dave he wanted to find a woman like that. LOL

And today's words of wisdom from a tattooed diabetic: If you think tattoos are tough, try daily shots! Hm, I think I need to put that into my siggie.....

All is well here and looking forward to the summer. Have been very busy with being in charge of 5th grade promotion/graduation and the party afterwards and there 5th grade special field trip.

Also doing donations for gifts for the Middle School student auction...very busy at the end of the year..o and also in charge of the Honorary Service Awards. And forgot that I am on the commitee(sp) for the incoming 6th grade picnic in August. And other stuff.

I am craving a Hawaii vacation this summer...hmmmmm....not sure if we can swing it but sure would like to. Going for Christmas would be nice Will see.

ow was everyones Mothers Day? and by the way Happy Mothers day!!!!!!!

Well was looking forward to maybe going to Hawaii next spring break but Brandens school for the 8th graders has brought back the Smithsonian Student Travel trips. It is for 6 days during spring break and the itinerary is awesome! long days and nights. The trip sounds so interesting that I am going to go with him. The price is reasonable, $1400 for Branden and $1600 for me. That includes flight and food and everything. Adults are more because only 2 in a room and kids are 4 in a room. Nice Hotels also, no junky ones.

No it is not really a vacation because there is no time to rest that is ok because I want to see all these places. We fly into Washington D.C and 6 days later out of Philadelphia.

If it was not such a good learning experience we for sure would be going to Hawaii or getting that much needed new washer and dryer.

Has anyone ever gone on a tour with them before? Branden is looking forward to it and when I asked him if he would mind if I came along his reply was "That would be awesome". I was surprised because a lot of other moms said that there kids were dissapointed that they wanted to go. Guess all that traveling we have done together and going on every field trip has paid off. He is so use to me going and sees that he gets his space that he enjoys my company.

He will be in a room with 3 of his friends, I will be in another room with one of mine

Well that is what is going on today. Lots and lots to do so must be on my way. It is so nice to still have all of you to chat with. I always feel so comfortable telling you just about anything. I find that funny because here at home except for my very closest friend I tend to keep things more private.

Hi all!!

No, Robin, it really didn't hurt. There were a couple of times, when he was working on her feet, that it hurt a little bit. but there were some spots where all I felt was some pressure! She is still healing so her skin looks look she got sunburned. As soon as that is gone I will take a pic and post it.

I know what you mean about talking to folks here, too. It helps, I think, that we all got to meet and hang out for a few days. I wish you were going to be at DL when we are in August .

Speaking of talking about things, Sam got a new outfit on Saturday and wore it to breakfast yesterday. The top is a beautiful turquoise shirt with one of those little "b**bie jackets". The neckline isn't real low but when she leaned over I noticed that my 10 year old has actual cleavage!!!!! That's not right is it?????
