wow we have something in common, i have one of those also...(alcoholic x that is)
i wish i had my mom and dad to fuss over..they have both passed away..my mom with altzheimers and my dad at the hands of doctors making the wrong decisions..
on a better note, i received the shirts from cafepress, they are great...thank you all for your help..reading all your plans and ideas are great

You are welcome! I haven't broken down and ordered mine yet. The ones I made turned nasty in the wash.

It isn't the taking care of mom that is the issue, it is the finding someone to replace her full-time care-giver so she isn't alone for the 10 days we will be gone! Not an easy task, especially over the holidays!

Yeah, the cemetery just put in a new sign that has one of those electronic light portions at the bottom. It is in color and they have been having a seasonal portion with a changing message and time/temp display. Really bizarre. What is worse is that the road in front of the cemetery still has some nasty spots in front of it where several weeks ago we had a hit and run that killed a woman. She and her BF were walking down the road in the middle of the night (drunk) and got in a fight. She wandered into the road and a car hit her and drove off, then another car ran over her. They aren't sure which one actually killed her but the road is still a mess several weeks and muliple rainfalls later! Not at all fun to drive past , knowing why the spots are there.

As for needing care, yeah, DM needs lots of care and we are going to have to give her live-in caregiver (DH's sister) the boot very soon, before we go on the cruise! So are trying to arrange for someone to care for mom while we are gone. That is my stress point right now.

Sounds like something out of a movie...

Vacation Stress...yes...but it's what all is in between that is stressing me...Birthday,Thanksgiving,School volunteer stuff,Decorating house sum what for Christmas,shopping for x-mas,and so on...2 much in a short time. My brain feels like it is on over load, call it Menopause, or as William Shatner says on "Boston Leagal" Mad Cow Disease...

I am looking forward to seeing/meeting all of you face to face...at least in some other chat rooms you can chat with a mic and hear that persons voice...here "Not"...so have not even had that...you are all a Myyyysterrrry!!!

Sherrena, Kat has a 10 y.o she needs a instead of better yet give her both... 2 drinks when 10 y.o turns 13...

Stopping in between errands...

Robin, the story was Kat's...the one about the people that were hit. Although we had a similar thing at the entrance to our neighborhood...I didn't see a lot of personal stuff lying around, but I can't tell you how long the "body lines" painted by the police were there--depressing every time you looked at them!!

Here's a for Kat with her daughter....I don't think the boys tell me they hate me often, just criticize me....same effect. Such a charming way of showing independence!

Now Jen, you don't do anything like that to your mom...... Of course, maybe I should be asking about your sister...you're a little older, and we all have to think by the time ours have graduated they will be sane again!

Hey, if she wants to watch the kids, she can do whatever it takes...

only problem Jen, is if you are 5'0", two of mine are bigger than you--maybe I should just send them to the stack....

on the other hand, if you can handle a horse...they've got about as much sense....

I've spent a little time on the Community Board playing with the mystery--I usually can walk away, but a couple of times it has gotten so exciting--addictive!

I just don't have the time to get into that. This board is taking enough of my time! Not that I am complaining, but I can only handle one addiction at a time in addition to work, home, kid, mom, etc! There is only one of me and I don't always think there is enough of me to handle even that! Is it cruise time yet?? I really need the vacation!!!!!

On my way home I need to stop at the drug store. Time for cold drugs. My chest has gotten congested and sleep was rough last night. Mucinex, nyquil and sudafed! My friends this time of year . Gotta figure dinner out too.
