12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

Good afternoon all.

As an update on my father. He is still in ICU -they have now confirmed it was a "medium severe" heart attack rather then a mild one. And he was in the mids of his second one when he got to the hospital.

Now they have determined that the heart attack tavelled down the front of the heart to the tip and that there is a rather large blood clot at the tip of the heart.

The ICU let me speak with him this morning and he sounded chipper and told me no way in h**l was he going to stay there and he was going to sign himself out (stubborn german). He complained the beds were uncomfortable, the food was lousy and advised me that the large clock on the wall in the rooms in ICU were there so the physicians and nursed could document the time of death.

Now he's been told he needs to stay until the blood clot clears and he is on several blood thinners and what he refers to as "rat poison".

He thinks he is going home on Saturday - not a chance he is being discharged on a weekend unless the specialist works that day.

I will try to go and see him and leave after my doctors appointment tonight - it's about a 2 hour drive.

Anyway - My house is always clean - sometimes not always tidy- due to endless disney toys that are left everywhere. I do try to keep the toys off the main floor.

he's always like...you could do stuff down there and i'd never know and stuff like that...i wish he would tell me so i can reassure him..but he's being a butthead

I haven't seen any girls age 7 in our group yet. Have I missed them? DD is 7 and I was hoping we could find another 7 yr old girl that she could meet and maybe bond with, go to the club with etc.

Hi Laura - Your neighbors on both sides Well our DS is 7. His cousins are 9 and 11. Ryan 7 is very friendly and social adapts well to just about any situation. He is totally crazy about horses and animals as well as boy stuff football, baseball, soccer. I am sure he is going to love the club that type of thing is right up his alley and since we will be sharing the end of the hall for 10 days I am sure we are bound to bump into each other.

he just opened up and it was about me being unfaithful and we talked it over and he said the words that signal he's feeling better..."i love you"...he doesn't say that phrase freely (even with his own family) so...i can go to sleep without a huge ulcer...just a small one

Oh Jen - We are here for you. I remember many nights having similar fights with my BF. My mom would tell me "honey someday you will think back and this will just be a very small bump in the road or laugh histerically about the things that you put up with and wonder why they seemed so important at the time." She was so right!

Thats good Jen, Hard to sleep with stuff like that on your mind. When is the next time you will get to see him? does he ever get a chance to come to see you at school? I remember when I was your age and had a long distant relationship...it was the hardest thing in the world!!!I hated it. To be in love and so far away!
Just thinking of how I had felt..I canremember crying myself to sleep many a night over missing him so much!

i cry everynight...he doesn't come down here because he can't get off work..i go visit him and if he works i just chill with his ferret and watch tv

His name was Jim...we were together for about 8 months and lived together for 2 months. We lived in N.J and he went for a job interview in Ohio...he was an animal trainer. He never came back. And I was in Nursing program so could not move. Soooo sad just thinking about it,even after all these years.
