I am so glad I check my plane reservations every so often! Delta changed our reservations AGAIN without notifying me! :furious: At least they kept us seated together and the changes aren't too drastic but instead of getting in at 9:30pm on Friday, now we get in at 10:00pm on Friday! I will check again as we get closer, but I hate it when they do that. And this time the seat assignment didn't show online so I called them. Hopefully they don't make the flight any earlier or I'll have to get off work even earlier. As it is, I have to get out of here at 2:00, get home, load the car with already packed suitcases, pick DD up at school and head for Dayton!

you have plane reservations already?? wow

I also have plane reservations and made them 8 months ago and being it is Christmas time the avalibility was not that great for decent price tickets...Also wanted to use our 'sky Miles" but there were no seats for sky miles left. We also wanted to stay at WDW after cruise instead of before but there was also no availability. So we are staying at WDW before. So thoses of you that don't have tickets yet be sure to get on it because at Christmas they sell out fast. It is possible that because we are coming from San Diego that that made a difference, and the connecting flights were sold out. If we wanted to fly Red eye it was okay or leave at 6:00 am that at the time was also okay. But that was also 8 months ago maybe they added more flights since then. The closer you get the higher the price also and did not want to pay more than $1650.00 round trip If could help it. Also if you go through DCL your guarunteed a flight but may at this point be the Red eye
So for those who don't have flights yet and for those of you that don't want the 4 letter word to come... I am sending lot's of pickey dust ....

oh did you make them seperate or did you let Disney make them? we are letting Disney make them

I know I'm not dealing with rookies here, but for those of you staying at WDW you know to make dining reservations early too, right? Especially after the cruise things are very crowded and your choices will be limited the closer you get to time.

I'll send the anti-snow great flight pixie dust too! pixiedust:

And you never know, if you catch children in the mood they might do anything, even cleaning. The REAL trick is getting them to stick with it! I'm allergic to dust as well, but can handle doing some. DH and the boys help vacuum, which really bothers my dust allergies. We bought one of those Roomba things to lighten the load. DH loves setting it and letting it go--having it do our work. I wouldn't rely on it exclusively, but it helps! :cool1:

"Yes" Jen I make them seperate from DCL because I like to use my sky miles and if I can't I like to have a choice on the time and Day we fly in.

And for WDW "Yes" I have all my ressies for dinner and shows already...even some of those at times that I wanted were getting sold out. Not so much for dinning but the shows. I sat here on the boards and worked through it from 9am till about 6 pm to book what we wanted when we wanted...it was alot of work and time but it was fun and have the whole trip planned.

The week that Dee and I are at WDW the park hrs. are only from 9-7 and Epcot till 9:30. So had to make the best of the time we have. If the parks were open till Midnight everynight we could have done things a little differently.

How funny I have trouble with Dust also due to allergies and Asthma.
The only dust I seem not to be allergic to is pixiedust:

Robin :)

We are flying in on a redeye on Delta LAX-MCO. We get to orlando at 6am saturday morning, leaving calfiornia at around 1030 the night before. Our flights have changed a little but not by more then a few minutes. Usually Delta is good at accomodating you should any changes not work for you.

Where in California are you from? We live in San Diego :sunny:

It is usually cheaper NOT to book air through the cruise line. The advantage of booking through the cruise line, though, is that flight delays will not make you miss the boat.

I booked air separate (since I'm leaving early enough that flight delays are not an issue). I got a RT fare on Delta SEA-MCO for me and DS at $248 pp. That was several months back, and it's an AWESOME fare...

Just checking in for a quick hi! Off for the second around - this time errands, horse, homework, dinner, soccer practice, and the list goes on.

DCL said we wouldn't get flight info till 30 days before.

Dee - We have been toying with the idea of coming in early and going to WDW. How hard would that be? Would we lose the air money we already paid? It would have to be easy and not cost too much for us to really do it. But it was a thought we have been tossing around.

ok I am off! :moped:

I am not sure when the cutoff for changing that is. We originally had the air booked but I cancelled it after I got the Delta reservations and there was no fee. Call DCL and see what they say.

The only time we used DCL air we didn't get our seat assignments until we checked in and had to fight to have our then 7yo sit in the same row with at least one parent! Plus the times were terrible. By booking on our own we get cheaper fares, can make our own schedule, and make sure we are seated together. The first time Delta changed our flights I had them change from what they changed us to because the times were terrrible and did not meet with our schedule at all. The times are ok now but I wish they'd notify me when changes occur!!

American has already done this to us twice. They cancelled out Friday flight and put us on the last plane out Friday night, which we will not do because if there are ANY weather issues, that flight will get cancelled, the way O'Hare works. So now we have to leave at 3:30 PM. Which means taking the kids out of school for another 1/2 day. :furious:

If we had known AA was going to do this, I would have just booked the first flight out that Friday and spent the day at WDW.
