:ccat: Good morning cruisers,

DH went out and bought two giant fans yesterday... :rotfl: the things are great but sound like a plane waiting to take off. The tease of this area is that just beyond the mountains behind us is the desert and so we see these giant thunderheads lurking but they never get over the hills. :confused3 whats a girl to do?

We are having a family over tomorrow for bbq and fun. There is an old fashioned fourth of July going on at the park about 1/2 mile from here so we will go to that and then watch the fireworks. I do hope you all have a great one.

Hey Carol...you didn't come kidnap me.Glad you had fun at DL.I will be waiting till fall now.I've got my 50th anniversary shirt to keep me company though.

The Tour de France has begun. Something to watch even now that our hunky Texan isn't racing anymore. Who will win?who will win...

Garry get some rest man. Do we have to come out there and tie you down? I want to meet you this cruise. Get a little Boones Farm going on.

Well have a great Fourth of July everybody. Talk to you in the other side.

Hi Guys - Well we were really busy this passed week. Ryan went to Basketball Camp. Oh he loved it!! It was a 4 day camp with about 150 boys there. He won the Free-Throw competition for his age group of 40 boys. He was very excited. Then on Friday we took our pygmy/nigerian dwarf goat to our library for a pet parade. He has a goatee (sp?) so we put him in a pirate outfit. SOOO cute. There were 104 entries he received best costume. I would post a picture but I guess I can't yet. Oh yeah and we finished up baseball and Ry was awarded Best Third Baseman with a ball.

Anyway all and all a very good week for Ryan. And today he lost a tooth. Awards, prizes, $. Thank goodness the 4th is tomorrow. He will be back to reality by the end of the week. You all know how 7 yr old boys can get full of themselves. :rolleyes1 :bounce:

Back from Disneyland! We had a great trip and got to ride our favorite rides lots of times, but did POC just twice. The line at opening went all the way through Frontierland and down Main Street to the entrance. It was a 90 minute wait most of the day (in the hot sun) but we discovered that if we waited until about 7pm it was less than 30 minutes and not so hot. Here is a clip from POC2 opening day:

Pirates of the Caribbean Ride

Just as I suspected, the crowds increased quite a bit starting Friday afternoon for the holiday weekend. By then, we had done everything we wanted and just had a few fastpasses to use up, then did our shopping and went back to the hotel.

So now it's my turn... :laundy:

awesome movie. can't wait to ride it again and see the new additions.

Happy 4TH of July Everyone!!!

Finally been having some great weather here (Thanks, Denise :thumbsup2 )

Thinking about going into Boston tonite to see the big show. Aerosmith is playing with the Boston Pops on the Esplanade...should be interesting :scratchin . Deoends on if I'm in the mood for skin-to-skin contact with over a 1/2 million people :rotfl2: . It really is an unbelievable fireworks show. We used to go every year, but haven't gone in a few. They are predicting some pretty nasty storms later on :confused3

Welcome home Jen & Carol.

Yes, gaRry, you must slow down. We want to see you in December.
And.... :thanks:

Kat, Congrats on Post #7000  . Only 40,000 more to go to catch up to those Blabbermouths :rotfl:

Congrats to Ryan, Angela :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo: . He really DID have a great week.

Denise, wish I lived closer....I'd crash your party pirate: pirate: :teeth:

Hmm, didn't even notice I'd gotten #7000!!!! Unless we start doing only one line per post we'll never catch up to them!!!! It has been so quiet around here!

Bought our tickets to POC II already. I really want to go to the midnite show on Thursday but no one to go with :(.

Why not go by yourself? I do it all the time!

If it were a daytime or evening show I probably would but a midnite show?

I did it for HP, I'm doing it again for POTC II. OK, maybe I'm "mental," as Ron Weasly would say! :lmao:

I went to the midnite show for the last two HP movies, but went with someone. We have had a falling out so it is unlikely we will go. I have had no luck finding anyone else to go with, so far. I need to decide as I really need to get tix before showing up there tomorrow night! I already have tix to go with family Friday evening, though.

I fall into that "mental" category on things like this. DH won't go to the midnite shows for much of anything. I already asked him and he thinks I am crazy for wanting to go. But he laughed at me last night when he saw that the wallpaper on my cellphone is Capt. Jack Sparrow too, so.... pirate:

Can't wait to go see it too, but can't do the midnight show for anything except maybe a viewing of the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show. That can only be seen at midnight. :smokin: popcorn::

I love this time of year...the air mells like bbq and you can hear the kids playing late with the crickets in the back ground. AHHH a precious moment.

have a good one all.

Amen to that :rotfl2: :rotfl2:!! Oh, the memories :hippie: :butterfly popcorn::

Kat, when is the midnite show?

Going to see "The Devil Wears Prada" tonite. It's getting pretty good reviews, so I'm looking forward to it. It's not Johnny, but I'm a Meryl Streep fan.

i've done midnight showings for the following...

The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
The Fellowship of the Ring
The Two Towers
Return of the King
Mission Impossible III
Pirates of the Caribbean <--was in CA and the humongous theatre near my aunt's house had a showing b/c its in Anahiem

The POC II midnite show is tonite (tomorrow morning) at 12:01 am. I've done the midnite shows for the last two Potter movies and more showings of RHPC than I can count! I was in a group that did the stage show during the movie for a year or so when I lived in Milwaukee (oh, about 20 years ago!!!) :3dglasses

We do have tickets to see POC II tomorrow evening so I guess I will have to settle for that. I wish I could find some decent movie t-shirts around here. The only place that has them is Hot Topic and the ones they have are all for juniors and feel like they are made of tissue paper!

I lost a good friend in a car crash this week. He's had a horrible 5 years or so -- nasty divorce (his wife was cheating on him), and a year in Afghanistan with the army. He was finally starting to feel that his life was getting back on track...

I'm really hurting right now. :sad2:

Dee, I am so sorry to hear that. It is always difficult to lose someone close to you. DH had a good friend die in a car crash just over a year ago so I know what you are going through. Know that we are here for you......

GOOD MORNIN ALL

DEE I'm sorry for your sadness *** P D ***** :grouphug: :grouphug:

I hope you could find a BRIGHT side there has too be one :wizard:

HAVE A GOOD DAY
