12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 2

OK, so I am just a little bit excited. Who would have thought that a SPR would pop up as available? Well, it did last night and I just called my TA and switched from a deck 2 cat. 10 to room 5020!!!!!
I also booked airfare last night, just to make sure I got the flights I wanted, so now there is no turning back. Cruise or bust!!!

That explains why I saw the cabin you said you had was now available!

I tentatively booked air through DCL because I am having a hard time finding anything decent. Unless I can find a really good deal I have it through them. Not my favorite, but better than some of the alternatives.

Hi everyone!

Haven't been around too much--been keeping busy. We're in the process of finishing our basement. I'm tired of making decisions!

I was checking airfare from Cleveland to MCO. Around 2300 for the 5 of us! I can save 1000 if we drive 2 hours to Pittsburgh. I don't want to book anything yet since I still don't know the kids school schedule.

Just talked to my TA this morning. She said DCL is definately doing 10 and 11 day Med cruises in 2007. I'm sure many people will think I'm crazy but I told her to cancel by request for a Cat 2(had the request in since 2004). We don't want to go there. Maybe we'll try Hawaii!!

I booked air for $339 each, which is the most I have ever paid. There will probably be something for less coming up later, but I didn't want to take the chance of not getting the flights I wanted. We will be travelling overnight, otherwise it wastes a whole day getting there (8 hours plus 3 for the time change, plus getting to the airport early, etc.). Then I got a decent return time getting us home by 8:00, otherwise it would be close to midnight. The DCL air was over $500 each, so definitely not worth it for us.

I have a son (Bryan) who will be 14; he will be a freshman next year.
Someone really needs to get a teen thread going, I think Bryan would join in but he is not a Dis'er yet so would not be comfortable starting it.

got your email. Will add you as soon as I rebuild my hard drive. I added a second hard drive to my tower, but they sent me the wrong cable to go with it. Finally got the right one in the mail yesterday and it's almost ready. After that, I will have extra protection for all my important documents.

I agree stacey. Anybody childness enough to be influenced by a smile should most definetly not be posting.

DD Hayley will have surgery Thursday to repair a dislocated kneecap. We were out at the soccer field last night doing some extra work, and she twisted it and went down. It has been bothering her awhile, so time to get it repaired. Kelli took her to the orthopedic today.
She is really ticked off because she is just finishing a very good basketball season(27-3), and made the varsity soccer team as a freshman. Now she is done til next season.
This is the first significant injury that either kid has ever had in years of sports, so I guess we were overdue!

Well yeah Willie- those were yummy. I had to watch the girls munch on them every night and they did not go easy on the sprinkles.

Willie, I'm sure Hayley will be fine...DH just had knee surgery in late October and he's been back to running since early December. He's so glad he did it now, though that was arthroscopic.
