Why is it that someone who turns on his friends, has the personal hygiene issues he does (look at those nails), obviously drinks quite a bit, and has questionable morals, is soooooo darned irresistable????? :confused3 pirate: Must be that element of danger, eh?? Someone our mothers wouldn't want us bringing home? Though I don't know, my mom thinks he's kinda cute too! :rotfl:

so my mom has finally accepted the fact that i have a boyfriend and we do more than just hang out and talk on the phone or the computer (which we often do).

that's always helpful when moms do that! my mom has a habit of not liking my boyfriends. she always finds something not to like about them.

oh she doesn't like alot of things about him, but she's dealing with it because they are all superficial things. Like money and stuff like that.

my mom does, i don't. She wants me to be in a high paying job. She hates the fact that i want to go work for the government in the alphabet agencies.

Good Morning Cruisers,

I had a fun weekend. Lots of visiting and fun.

Hey my DS didn't like my DN boyfriend either. He has won her heart by doing little things for her, bringing her roses and applauding her cooking. Yeah he's gonna go far in this world. He has the Eddie Haskel down pat. :rotfl:

It ought to be fun when DD is old enough to date! :lmao: Right now she tells us she is NEVER going to go out with boys and we are supposed to remind her! Yeah, right! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: I know DH is going to think there is no boy good enough for his little girl!!!

I have decided that I am not going to grow up...because I don't want to work full time...EVER! I'm going to live in Neverland with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. :tink: :cloud9: This is my last week of work and I'm not so sure I'm going to make it. :sad2: I might end up :badpc: before the week is over. :rotfl:
When I graduate college and get married...can being a mom be my job? Can I get paid to do that?? :teeth:

LOL. Sure, being a mom can be your job but it doesn't pay anything monetarily. Mind you, the emotional rewards are wonderful! I could never be a stay-at-home mom, though. I love my DD dearly but I would go nuts sitting at home all day and in this day and age we could never afford to do the things we do if we didn't both work!

i could never sit around and do anything for extended periods of time. thats why i want to go undercover for the CIA

Hello Everyone! I haven't been on this discussion board for a long time but am wondering if someone could tell me what was included in the travel kit you received recently. We have not received ours and when I mentioned it to our travel agent she wanted to know what all was in it so she knew what she was asking about.

Thank you and see everyone soon.

Hey Sandra, glad to see you posting. I have been thinking that it is about time for the lurkers to come out and start letting us get to know them!

I have the info about the Travel Kit, but it will cost ya! I believe you are the only DISer on this cruise with a suite, so let us know if you need any help planning that party! (Just kidding, sort of). The kit consists of a brown portfolio, about 7" x 10", (that's 17cm x 25cm Canadian :teeth: ) containing a booklet with information about booking shore excursions, planning tips, onboard activities, and let's not forget opportunities for you to hand over even more wads of money by ordering gifts (Disney is so considerate that way).

hehe yes... that sounds a lot like my mom. they are always 'silly' things she finds to not like. it leads to a battle in the end. and it always ends badly...

I bet your mom is closer to my age, though!

hehe yes that is probably a very good assumption

Hi Carol:

Thanks so much for the information. I know I should be posting but everyone just seems to know each other so well on this discussion board that I found it hard to jump in. We are very much looking forward to our cruise. Today we changed our flights to leave on December 10 now. I got a new job so I am not so tied to the school year now. I used to be a college instructor and now I am the Chief Financial Officer for our college/university so with the extra vacation time we can spend a week in Orlando before the cruise. Should be great. We are staying at The Polynesian. We have a room with a view of the Magic Kingdom. I hope it is nice. We are certainly on the countdown now anyhow.

Take care and I will try to stay contacted with the discussions going on now.

oh my mom as threatened to throw Steve in jail. he's 22 and i'm only 17. once i turn 18 (13 days), she can't do a single thing to him because i'm no longer a minor.

We haven't gotten our travel kit yet :( I will have to contact our TA at DU I am thinking.

Just got back from seeing POTC 2 again!!!!! that makes 4!
