Its very tempting to cruise again next December, especially after the AWESOME weather we had... I came back so tan, everyone at work is jealous....

but Disneyland in December to see the Holiday festivities is calling my name.... what is a girl to do??

On Sleeping Beauty---

The gal who was Sleeping Beauty was actually the daughter of Howdill. I have emailed her and her parents from the dis boards private email and received email from her. I did get a chance to talk to her on the ship and she is now a "swing" so she fills in for anyone who is sick. This week she wasn't in any of the shows. She was very nice and it was fun to get to talk to her. She even remembered me once I told her my dis boards I.D.

darci, thanks for that info. i thought it was some sicko stalking her. i'm glad "aurora" confirmed Howdill's validity. The internet scares me sometimes.

It was so funny! I went up to her and asked "Aurora" if she was Charlotte. She didn't know what to say!!! She said, "No, I am Princess Aurora." Then I knew for sure it was her!!!

Tammi, welcome to DVC! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It does help us feed our addiction. I posted over on the trip report about our adventures trying to get home. Finally arrived in Portland at 8 am this morning, then a bit of an icy drive home. But we are here, I scanned the mail, DrHug is napping. Now to get that Christmas tree up before Christmas!

We're home too - just got home about 1:00 today after two days at WDW with Lisa and her family. We all decided that it is better to do WDW BEFORE - and then the cruise. We are really pooped! MK was CROWDED (we are used to off-season) MGM was better, but still LOTS of people.

I kept seeing Jordan (vagabond?) everywhere, and so did my DW - just a reminder Jordan, you need to come next year now because you still owe me a beer!

As to sea legs, I am great on the ship, but once I get off, I am with the rest of you. I usually put on the patch AFTER the cruise, and forgot to do it this time until late Saturday night. Once I put it on though, it really seemed to help. DW and DD do much better than me on that score.

We had a great time, but DD did not swim as much at the Mickey pool as she did the year before. I don't believe it was my imagination, but, there seemed to be more kids in the 3-8 range than I have ever seen, and the Mickey pool was almost always wall to wall kids running into each other

We had a great time meeting those we got to meet, and the wine and cheese in Vanessa and John's Cat 3 was very nice, and we are appreciative that they shared their room for this with us.

Lisa and Mike had the long drive today with a child that was not feeling too well yesterday, so I hope they made it back OK and uneventfully. We had the smoothest flight check in and departure at MCO that we have ever had, and we were just about 10 minutes late getting into 15 degree weather and snow EVERYWHERE. Since no one was home, I now have an ice-skating rink for a driveway, with about an inch of ice under 2 inches of snow!

Hope Lisa's little one is feeling better!! And I am ALL FOR WDW before the cruise...but then I think WDW is way more "hectic!!"....and John - your little one is so gorgeous and sooo sweet!!! Haley is used to Samantha pinching etc and she loved the attention from Sophia, William and Kaitlyn! Funny - tonight her top 4 teeth....YES 4 are poking through!! She has been cutting them for a while but it's amazing they are here all at once!

I wish we could have spent more time meeting everyone....I enjoyed speaking with your wife and was so glad she stopped by the room...I know I am sooo nosey when it comes to what other rooms look like! I kept peeking in the WD suite all week!

If anyone was on this cruise last year, did you notice that the person that played Aurora during this year's Character Meet & Greet did not perform at all this year? Last year she was Cruella, one of the muses, the Little Mermaid, Belle and a couple of more other roles. I remember her because DD thought she was very pretty. I wonder why with singing/dancing talent like hers, she was not performing.

I remember last year there was a Disboard user named "howdill" that claimed he was her father and asked all the recent Magic cruisers to upload any photos of her because he missed his little girl. He also claimed he cannot contact her for personnel reasons and he was going to surprise her but wanted to keep up with what she looked like. It was, IMO, scary because many people took his word while I thought it could be someone obsessed with her. I even PM a few users including a Mod saying that this guy may not be who he said he is. Afterall, he could be anyone. Am I paranoid??

Jen, yes! I thought that I recognized her as well. When the performers came out for the Night before Christmas reading/singing with Mrs. Clause I knew that it was her. I went up to her afterwards & asked if her name was Charlotte & she was surprised that I knew it. She did say that her parents posted on the boards, so that person was legit. She also just boarded the ship last month and is a swing for 5 people at the moment. She will be on the ship until May. We went to the BTS for the theater & those CMs sign on for 8 month contracts...2 rehearsing in Toronto & 6 on the ship with a 2 week cross over time period when they switch.

Cristi, DS stopped me on the way to the ship on CC and told me to "twist my tooth out mommy just like Jake's mommy told you to." ROFL! The first try wound up with it facing the wrong way so it HAD to come out. That kid started jumping up & down with his hands up in the air like someone who just won a big event. Even though the ice cream cup with the tooth in it was thrown away Tink still managed to show up...thanks to Johnathan at GS.

I posted on the live thread, but DS woke up without a fever or cough this morning but his throat hurt to swallow. I knew right away what was wrong, but couldn't really do anything about it at 5:30 am. He slept on & off & after dropping DH & DD off at the house after 12 hours in the car, we went to urgent care. It's strep...so he is home tomorrow as well. I just found out tonight that DD's class can't have a party on Wednesday, so I will miss both of them. I'll have to drop off everything sometime tomorrow morning.

Lisa, wow....do I feel silly for doubting Charlotte's parents. Her photos from last year's cruise is on every other page of my scrapbook. Speaking of scrapbooks, did you pick one up for $12.99??? What a deal!

Angie, thanks soooo much for sharing those glow sticks and Narnia stickers. That was very thoughtful of you to bring them....my kids loved both.

We spent 13 hours at the airports/in the air on Saturday coming home. Flight delays. All the while DD had a high fever. It was controlled with children's Motrin but it was still miserable for her. At the 9th hour, we ran out of Motrin and there wasn't anything we could do except wait.

We're all still on East Coast time. Kids have been getting up at 6 am every morning since we came home.

Really hard not having 5 meals a day. I feel hungry all the time. My jeans are....ahemmmm....quite snug.

Ok - how cute is she?? She STOOD for the first time on CC!!!!!! Now, she is a true Disney baby as DH puts it....our "Wonder" gal now a "Magic girl!!"

Vanessa... Thanks for posting those pictures. They turned out great! Thanks again for hosting the wine party. Your stateroom was beautiful. It was pretty nice to have that time to visit with everyone. It was a little disappointing to not meet up with everyone, but that probably would have gotten really confusing anyway. The people we did meet up with were all really great!

I ended up leaving work a little early today to go to the doctor. I decided that I probably should get a tetnus shot after my adventure on the pier.

Lisa... Brad actually went out yesterday and got us a new one. Best Buy had a good deal on another Sony which is a couple of steps above what we had.
I am glad that William finally got his tooth out! The first one is always the hardest.
