12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

Today we are in Monterey, CA. We were headed south yesterday from Lodi to Pismo Beach and decided to stop in here for 2 days. We camped here when our kids were young and loved it. We are at Laguna Seca Raceway park. Very nice and the weather could not be better. 60 degrees and sunshine, no wind.

Dennis did not get to jam with our friends, but we had an amazing day visiting with them. Dennis is father figure for Lyndie (known her since she was 3 and her dad died when she was 12). She really needed some cuddle time with "Dad" Dennis. They spent the day with us in the MH on Sunday. I made breakfast, we visited and laughed, then we watched Little Manhattan, one of our favorite movies, and I broiled some steaks. Such a good, good day of reconnection and love.

I think Dennis is about cleaned up and dressed now. (He cleans up pretty good! ) We are heading into Monterey to prowl around the wharf and see if we can find some shrimp cocktails. YUM!!

I showed the kids and they couldn't pick their jaws up off the floor. They couldn't believe it...until DH played the one with DS's name on it. ROFL!!!

I can't belive what I have found DCL doing!

Of course I am again trying to get some people to go on a cruise with us. When the kids free first came out, of course there were Cat 12s all over the place. Now, here is the deal...

I found that if you put 2 adults and 2 kids in a room, no 12s show up. Heck, nothing lower than a 9 where I was looking. If I put in just 2 adults, plenty of rooms. Hmmm....

So I put in for 2 adults and then "changed" it on the following page to 2A 2C and I could book a 12 that way. But this was yesterday...

Today, it won't even do that. Says won't fit or something like that. But if I put in 4 adults? Bingo, every catagory. I tried multiple scenarios. It isn't kid ages or anything, because I could put in for 2 rooms, each with 2A and 1c and get 2 rooms. Grant you not Cat 12s though. Could still get the Cat 12 with 4 adults.

Sorry this is confusing, but it is clear that their system is trying to get those with kids to take higher catagories.

Im sure I am not going anyway since no-one I ask can give me a straight answer. If they would just say no I would book one for me and the girls...

Caroline...it is quite possible that the kid spots are full. That has happened before. Have you requested a quote through DU? If anyone can get you a room, they could.
