I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying the weekend. :goodvibes

DH wanted me to find prices for friends of our to take their kids to Disney. How can he ask me to do this and not expect me to want to go?!?!:sad2: Now I am back to looking again. DCL is way to high right now unless I convince my BFF(military DH) to go on maybe a 4-day. She is too worried about getting sick.:rolleyes1

Or I am back to the parks in February. I almost had these ideas out of my head!:headache:

Caroline, have you checked out the great rates for 2009 on the cat 12s? There is a thread on the main board posting about the best dates for them.

Of course.....we will be in WDW 2/7 - 2/14 and I know of a couple of kids who would love to meet up with your kids. :) We are going for less than the cost of the tickets with their promotion right now. If you can't find a room online, contact DU. They got us a room at the values that was not showing up for the week we wanted. It was sold out online when I looked. ;)

My DSIL and DBIL are taking the 3 kids to Disney for the first time in Feb. They asked if I would plan the trip for them....um SURE!!!! I have them all booked for dining and I will be helping them make an itinerary.

I hope you all had a great turkey day.

Brandi....don't you think they would have more fun with a personal guide. ;) ;) ;)

Well.....I don't think this person could handle being the personal guide for that particular group......

I can help from home....but they do not want to go....they are "going for the kids." They have to wrong attitude.....KWIM?

Lisa, I was looking at similar dates as you! Feb 8 - 15th. The kids have off that Friday and the week later is a bit more, although it is over Sarah's birthday. Ibrahim wants no part of Disney right now though...:sad2: I am still bending my friends ear with DCL though. I wonder if you still get the fall deal of $99 if you use a military rate.:confused3 The girls like DCL so much better than WDW, as do I. We really shouldn't go anywhere right now, but it is doable with the price, at least WDW. I can only dream...:rolleyes1

I am with you about preferring DCL to WDW, Caroline! Me too! BUT I can't push it. ;)

Brandi...that is sad...but I hope that the kids can't see that during their trip and have a great time. Who knows? Maybe they will get a touch of the magic once they are down there :)

Funny, Marilyn!! :lmao: Yep, that is us. A whole new world. We sing that song alot! I'll show this to DrHug when he gets up from his nap. :sad2:
We are in OR still right now. We spent the past week in WA with family doing Thanksgiving. Lots of fun! Dennis and I were able to help with the work alot. 31 for dinner this year. I did the potato peeling (20 lbs), pie crust making, vaccuming, dusting etc for my niece. She did the actual cooking. We were a great team and everyone had a great time.

We both have dental appts tomorrow, Dennis to get a crown put on and I have just cleaning. Dinner with DD tonight to wish her a happy 40th birthday :scared1: . Her BD is Dec 8, but we will be gone by then. However, she was due on Dec 2 so it seems ok to celebrate tonight. :goodvibes

Then we get to head out on Thurs or Friday, whichever we decide. We have decided to head south to CA first. DL by Dec 14 so we can use our annual passes for a few days before the Christmas blackout dates. (Dec 20) We will spend some time there visiting with family and friends. Hopefully Christmas Day with Dennis' sister. After Christmas we will then head east across AZ. We should have no problem being in FL by late Jan/early Feb. :woohoo:

Love the shot of you guys and your RV, Angie. ;)
:lmao: ::yes:: :drive:

I think they need you to show them the magic. Several in my family "got it" last Dec when we took them. Some were thinking they would not enjoy, but were "going for the kids and the rest of us"".

Safe travels to you Angie and Dennis! Enjoy the stop in DL. :) We are really looking forward to seeing you in February. It has been too long!

Angie/Dennis

Safe travels! I also went to the dentist this week, a root canal on Sunday, still on meds for the pain today and it seems I had an infection, so on anti-biotic as well.

Amy and I are at the hospital today. Manuel is having re-connective surgery to try and put him back together. We are hoping for a positive result. The surgeon just spoke to us, and it will be 3-4 hours.

Major Hinzman from the Army unit near you wrote me a note today. He said you all had met and that you had asked about me. It's really cool how we all connect isn't it?

Manuel came through the surgery well. Thanks to everyone for their prayers. He will be in surgical ICU for a day or two, and then another long recovery from major surgery, but the doctor was very optimistic after the surgery, and found no signs of recurring cancer.
