12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

Hugs and prayers for you John.

Major Hinzman from the Army unit near you wrote me a note today. He said you all had met and that you had asked about me. It's really cool how we all connect isn't it?

I asked him if he knew you or Annette, and he told me he would drop you an email. He is the new leader at our local Salvation Army post, and all of our stores participate in the kettle drive now and in July - I coordinate it with the two local posts in our county.

John, wonderful news on Manuel. The whole family is in my thoughts.

Manuel came through the surgery well. Thanks to everyone for their prayers. He will be in surgical ICU for a day or two, and then another long recovery from major surgery, but the doctor was very optimistic after the surgery, and found no signs of recurring cancer.

That is amazing news John! I didn't read this until now but have been thinking about all of you this week. Will keep you in my prayers. :grouphug:

John,
I am happy to hear that he came out of surgery okay. That is wonderful.

Brandi I just noticed your countdown ticker and it looks like we are there at the same time. :thumbsup2 We arrive on the 28th for a week then do the Jan 3rd cruise. :woohoo: We should make a date for a meet. :confused3

We are going to be at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.....not Disney World. We don't get to go to Disney World until June. I would love to meet....but we will be in South Carolina!

We are at Valley of the Rogue State Park in southern OR tonight. We should be at DL by Dec 14! :cool1: Family and friends to see along the way. Just got an email from friend we are seeing tomorrow and Sunday. They are excited, setting up the drums, getting out the guitars and want to jam with DrHug. :woohoo:

That sounds like so much fun, Angie!!! Wish that we could join in. :)

I did that the other night with the auditors from our headquarters. :rockband: Annette cooked for them so they wouldn't have to eat out another night. After dinner we pulled out Rock Band on PS3 and played. :thumbsup2

I don't know if it helped me with my audit but it was fun.

Excellent news John!

Just back from the World last night. We had a few cold days but that's relative considering the weather hear. It was quite nice. Too short but nice just the same. We ate at the Wave. Amazingly enough we were able to snag a lunch at Le Cellier. It's still our favorite although we are not real big meat eaters. The comment I got on Sunday was "after three days of eating meat I have to have some type of macaroni." So, we ate at the Italian restaurant in Epcot.

I love that visual!

Ooh I almost forgot to mention. We joined Owner's Locker. What great and convenient. I love their communication.
