12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

Our friends were staying at the GF for this trip. When they checked in they told them to wait a minute. Another CM came and told them that they had been awarded a prize


they were upgraded to concierge level at GF It is so cool! There were snacks, breakfast and drinks including an expresso machine.

phew now a least happiness will be in my household at least for the remaining week. DD will be with Carl on Thursday so he is hoping the parade is that day. Me, I'm not to thrilled to have her there in the chaos but they like doing that stuff. New Years Eve is their thing as well. Not me. Unless its WDW and Wishes or some other thing you will not find me in a crowd like that...

PERFECT!

I stopped my scrapping and counted pages so far last night...or as Mike has corrected me...this morning...and I am at 116 so far with at least 30 more to go - and that doesn't include the pre cruise stuff at WDW!!! Unbelieveable!!!! I still have to add some embellishments, titles, and journaling but the pictures are all matted and in place on those 116 pages and several are complete. YIKES! The best part has been reliving the entire cruise with you guys and discovering things that I didn't know in the pictures. Like...one of Kim's pictures from the bar at the edge of the family beach of the wooden structure and the beach ... you can see Amy sitting in a chair on the beach and S, S, & K are in the water with PJ on the float. I think that I am standing by the umbrella and know that my aqua cover up in in the chair behind me. How cool is that?!?!?

We got an offer on the house yesterday that we accepted with just a couple of minor changes in our counter offer that do not involve money, so they likely will accept it. WOO HOO!!! Now the troubles....we would have to be out of the house in 3 1/2 weeks and one of those weeks we are traveling to MT and ID. Oh my!! Time to get those closets cleaned out and packed up I think! So, that means I can retire in 5 weeks and 2 days!!!

I have a question for you wonderful DVC Geek Disers....

My friend owns a time share - not disney. Anyway, my DH and I bought a week from her and she exchanged her place (Williamsburg, VA) for Disney HHI. Anyway, we are going from Dec. 27 - Jan 3. What kind of activities will they have for the kids that week? I am very excited. I told Jason, we will end up DVC owners until it is all said and done! Have any of you ever stayed on Disney HHI property? Thanks!!!

Of course there is the time 8 months after you move in when you finally get to some of the last boxes and realize that you have done without everything in that box for that long so you really don't need any of it. For me it was a big box of playdoh and another of coloring books.

Yes!!! Ifinished school the beginning of June. We left for OBX 3 days later. We returned on a Sunday and VBS started the very next Morning. The closing program for that was this past Sunday...I am so glad it is over!

This has been my first real week with "nothing to do!!!"
