12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

That was so exciting for the Men's relay swim team. I was jumping up and down trying not to wake the house up. Michael Phelps is amazing. The whole team was exciting.

That is the truth sista!!! I love them!!! I am sad they are over!!!

We are finally in Montana. Parked at Jim and Mary's RV park just outside Missoula. We arrived yesterday and got DGS delivered to the dorm at the U. He was so excited! We left OR on Thurs and spent 2 days at Whidby Island over by Seattle visiting with my nephew's wife and children. He is in Bejing working on some kind of electronic security system. We brought our great-niece with us to MT, she is a senior this year and wanted to take a look at the U here. She is spending the day on campus with DGS today. Dennis, my mom and I went and restocked some grub at the local SuperW.

I hope Lisa and crew are having just a great a time as we did bringing the Magic west.

We got more bad news this morning. :sad2: Jessica (Aaron's mommy) lost the baby they were expecting. She was about 6 months along. A little girl. We are all just so sad. :sad1: She has had 2 miscarriages between Aaron and this one, but both were much earlier in the pregnancy. We were all just so hopeful since she had been ok this long.

Tomorrow we will be looking at some houses. Hopefully we will find the right one right away. Jeff (Aaron's daddy) did get his transfer to here and his start date is Sept 18. If we do not have a house by then we will all be in the motorhome, which is doable but would be tight. We will see what God has in store for us.

Dennis and I plan to fly to LA and help the kids move. They were very grateful for that offer and Jessica said Dennis can have her ticket to the Ohio State/ USC game on Sept 13!!! He is STOKED and will have lots of fun with Aaron and Jeff!! We will need to load the truck on the 14th and head out no later than the 15th. We will, of course, have to go a few days early and go to DL!! Gotta make use of those annual passes we bought in May.:woohoo:

I know the feeling, Brandi! I cried when I left DGS in the dorm. :sad1: How can he be so grown up? :confused3 He is all settled in now. We took him to pick up a small fridge, milk, cereal and a small flat screen TV that will fit on his shelf. He is having a great time this week with his new buddies. Monday classes start.

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers for Jeff and Jessica. I will relay that to them. :grouphug:

V! I missed you!! Hope you are well. I noticed you are going to MNSSHP in Oct. I was wanting to finally get to that this year but flights are ridiculously overpriced as the last minute. One day.

My new obsession is finishing Season One of Burn Notice. I am loving this show. I am watching it on hulu. Burn Notice. Two more episodes to go I can move on to season 2. I haven't been this excited about a show since Heroes and Battlestar. Other than that I pretty much don't watch tv and then I watch these online after the fact anyway. Some of the Battlestar characters are showing up on Burn Notice. Lucy Lawless (the formally boxed Cylon) was on episode#10 which I watched last night. I understand #6 is on season 2.

Anyway I love this show I think its terrific. It's got this crazy drama/humor balance that I love. Sharon Gless as the mom is a hoot. Sharon Gless interview Her smoking cigs though unnerves me but it fits the character (I hope they are fake). Love love love Gabrielle's Fiona character. Jeffrey Donovan is perfect as Michael Westen. Heck I love all of them.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend....

we are very mellow here. I am in a major funk over Jake starting school. I never thought I would be like this!!!!
