I don't think that I want to have to explain hatred to the extend of the Holocaust yet. We are dealing with real issues & they listen & question. DS gets most of it but DD just goes back to playing. DS takes most of it to heart though & sometimes gets upset by what he has learned for a few days.

So when is the 100 page party? I don't want to miss it.

Our DS's 7th grade class is going to DC this summer for a "field trip" for four days. Much to his dissapointment I volunteered to go as a chaperone. I haven't been there since I was in 7th grade and that was a quick trip. It is all arranged by a company that does student tours. We have to start fund raising for that in the next few months.

Honestly I question why I do PTO after every meeting. We went in full of energy & excited about a couple new programs for next year & a craft fair this spring & the principal just shot down everything. UGH! Hmmm...no question why it is getting so hard to get volunteers in the school.

That sounds like alot of fun! I am surprised that the school goes during the summer though. Does he go to a year round school?

The night tour was great Lisa, but I will also add that I've done it twice in February, and it can be VERRRY slippery out there! The FDR memorial in particular had lots and lots of ice and slippery spots.

Of course now I wish I would have had my current camera with me. My old camera's pictures came out like my old pictures from the shows. I might have to do it again this year on my own with my new camera.

Two years ago, DW and I did it on the night of the Superbowl - there were only FOUR of us on the whole bus - like a private tour!

Just checked the '05 thread - we did not get to page 100 until November 9th!

Hard to believe this is an even chattier bunch - of course now knowing and having cruised with each other (some of us) makes us even more chattier methinks.
