Where is JORDAN? I hope all is well. Did everyone have a good day?
Mark

Don't know where Jordan is on the boards, but he and I were at Disneyland and California Adventure today. I took DD there for a Mommy and me day (DH was working and DS was with the grandparents) so Jordan met us there. It was fun, and a perfect weather day. Sunny and warm (in the middle of January!). Rode the new Monsters, Inc. ride. Cute for kids. MUCH better than the Superstar Limo ride it replaced.

I think he called Angie to rub it in that we were there. But she'll be there soon enough! :cool1:

Hope you all had a great day!

So jealous... I have to wait 10 months before I get to see the new Monsters ride...

I did get to go on Everest though...so I guess I shouldn't complain, and I am cruising again in 33 days!

Yeah, somehow I don't think Monsters Inc. trumps Everest and another cruise... ha ha ha. :scratchin

Don't worry about what your missing - it's cute but not necessarily worth rushing cross country for (at least for adults). But it's still pretty cute.

Everest is awesome Jordan, and its not even done yet...

As far as going on another cruise, I just booked another one for March..just a 3 day though :)

Hey Lisa - I lived in DC for 10 years right when I graduated from college. First job - Pentagon! Talk about overwhelming a young college kid. Anyway, I loved DC and the whole area. I lived in Arlington pre-marriage and Vienna VA (about 20 minutes out - on a good day!) after marriage. If you have any questions or need any advice, let me know. I used to love bringing people into the Pentagon when they came for a visit. Then 9-11 stopped the casual visits. My old office was one of those destroyed that day. What an event. Anyway, there is so much to do and see! I wouldn't recommend the Holocaust museum if you have kids. Too much for little minds. My kids love the Air and Space and Natural History. They also like walking thru Union Station, and the National Archives. You've got to go down to Old Town Alexandria - walk around, grab dinner. And have fun.

I want to go on Everest!! :hyper: I'll check out Monsters when we go with the HS Band in March. We absolutely loved that movie! ::yes::

I can't believe how chatty this thread is...I can't keep up at all! I am trying but pretty much only read the last page.....

Any predictions on when we will hit 100 pages? I predict tonight!

Concur, it will happen while I am at bowling, lol.

Penny

Oh goodie! We can really pull one over on Vanessa then as long as we do most of the talking at night. ;) Go back a few pages for the tshirt designs. :) I have found a place online that would do 100 shirts in different sizes on a navy blue background with white printing for under $7.00 each. IDK what the shipping would be for the order. That is so much less than other sites though...it makes me wonder...KWIM? The others want $20 for a navy blue shirt. :(

Lisa, what about the iron-on you talked about. Emily has done that the last couple of years for my dd. She draws a Birthday shirt and wears it on here Birthday. I'm glad to hear you had fun at Disneyland Jordan and Wendy. I want to go back. Hopeful we will sneak away some time in May. Any more ideas on what they are making on CC? Do you think it will be water slides?

Penny--
I won't hold the fact that your'e a bowler against you. :flower: My mom is a maniac bowler, national tournament every year, on the state board, etc. etc. She's even recruited my sister into it, and now my DNiece8. YIKES! The bowling gene totally skipped me and my entire family, the only way we'll do it is if there is bumpers up and if grandma(mom) is no where around.

Happy Tuesday everyone!! No sunshine here today and I could have sworn I saw snow. I guess it is January but I can dream can't I???

I'm off for lunch with DH and then to swim practice for the kids.

I just went to the design board to ask them about the company http://www.customink.com/cink/r.jsp?C=4. I read some of the posts & due to copyright laws we wouldn't be able to have the mickey head or DCL logo on the pictures if they used them. So....it would end up being easier to do the iron ons because 1/ we could put whatever we wanted to on our own shirts ;) and 2/ we could have everyone's shirt personalized with their own DIS ID & first name. They would be good for the cruise anyway. :)

I have just emailed the company to ask them to review the design & check out any copyright laws. The shipping is included in the price! :) I just thought that if we could get the shirt & have it printed for under 7 it would be worth it to get them all done. We could still each personalize the front with an iron name. :) IWLYK what they say.

We went to DC a couple years ago... the kids were 5 and 2 -- they were really quite bored for the most part. We did 3 days in Williamsburg -- it rained mostly so we were really miserable trying to maneuver with the stroller and all. One day at Busch Gardens which they were the most entertained... And then 3 days at DC where we did the museums -- Space & Air, Natural History, and we went to Arlington on our last day. Got stuck in traffic going back to BWI and missed our flight, ugh. That was memorable.

I would definitely wait till kids are a bit older -- we should have.

That sounds good! Is it raining out there? It's nice and sunny right now, but it is going to rain to night. Lisa if we do the iron on cant we do any thing on the shirts?

Since the apartment is up there now for us to use, we can't put it off. We have toured Dallas, Fort Worth stockyards, Biltmore Estate, downtown Norfolk (where I grew up) going to several historical places & touring Naticus (combined aquarium/hands on science lab place with a tour of a battleship) and we all enjoyed it. I think that DS being able to read about the places we will go will help his interest level. He amazes me at the information that he knows about some things already. LOL! DD wont care where we are as long as she is with daddy. :) We wont be able to do too much next month. April will be our big trip. I think that I will get us tickets for the bus tour one day. We can get on & off the bus at any stops. That will definitely help with the walking.
