Tammie, you should have let the little one hug the cake! pooh: Would have made a great photo! :rotfl2:

He had lots of frosting on his little face! We actually would have let him hug it, but he held himself back after leaning toward it :) I'll try to send a pic tomorrow if I can get Jim to download them. :yay:

Mark, we stayed at the Hyatt when we went on the last cruise. We loved it because we brought the luggage cart into the lobby from the elevator, and a bellman met us, took the cart to the bell desk for us and returned it. :cool1:

The next morning, we left our luggage in the hallway with the DCL tags on it, and went to a special lounge inside the hotel where they loaded us on the DCL bus - we loved not having to figure out what to do and where to go. :cheer2:

Only drawback, had to rent a car for the night to go to MK. :rolleyes1 We booked it as part of our package and were told that Disney included the stay free, which seemed right based on the prices we saw online, but I am not familiar with all of the rates. :smooth:

Mark, the BBBIIIIGGGGG photo of Sarah got an awwwwww out of me. How sweet she looks.

Have any of you ever been to the Broadway version of "The Lion King"? It will be in Des Moines for a few weeks in March and April? I think we're going to go, something Disney to look forward to :) and it's less than 313 days away.

We saw it a couple of years ago in Tulsa, OK. It is very good and worth the money.

Wondering where Wendy and Jordan are. Hope all is well with them. :worried: DH just told me he will not be working again tomorrow. He is scheduled for Wed though and should be able to return by then. He slept until after 1 today, then took a nap from 4-6. Nasty stuff he has.

I'm heading off to bed. Start another week tomorrow. :sad2: How long is it till the next cruise?? Two years and two months from tomorrow I can retire. :woohoo:

We are flying in the day before the cruise. What do you suggest? That is the hotel we have stayed at the two times before. We have transfers from the airport. What do you guys think we should do?
Mark

While we haven't made our final plans yet the last two times we came in two days early and stayed two days after. We had transfers from the airport to the ship but rather than stay closer to the airport we elected to stay at POP Century. We got a discount for AP and just bought a roundtrip on Mears. Now we might can use Disney transportation. :surfweb:

Howdy, Brack! :wave2:

Howdy back. It's nice to back for a day or two after being on the road for over a week. :surfweb:

We're back and EE is AWESOME!!! We loved it!! I started a trip report and will be posting pics....:)
Friday was very calm and easy to ride - yesterday was a mad house! People were freaking out and I am sure Disney did not expect the crowd level they had yesterday. It was nuts...we still had a huge amount of fast passes and got to ride with no waits yesterday...helps to know the systems!

Hi Vanessa--
Sounds like you had a great weekend. I read a lot on the threads this weekend about EE, sounds like we'll definately be going to AK in December. Some people said that the local news channels were announcing that EE was open, they left out the part about it being an AP event, so everyone thought it was open to the public. OOOPS! I wish we were within driving distance to Orlando an AP would be a sweet thing to have.

WITHDRAWLS!!! Feeling better slowly! The modem went on the fritz Saturday morning & I have been without a connection since 1 pm. :( I plugged it back in again this morning & it is working. I need to get a 75 "own" voltage block to put on the splicer though. Apparently the history shows a problem so I am on...but just barely. Lots of catching up to do. I also have to pay the bills while I can get online. :)

It was fun and yesterday, they were only letting you in through Dinoland unless you had a FP then you could enter through Asia, they did not tell us this until we were trying to get in through Asia. Luckily my sister met me in Asia with 2 FP's for us. People were everywhere and it was chaotic. My original plan was to go up Sunday only and not take the weekend off. I am so glad we went on Thursday or I would have not enjoyed trying to work through the crowds yesterday. Disney was totally offguard with that one. It was neat though, they had lots of Imagineers around talking to people and at one point they were discussing holding your arms up and telling people not to do it?! I held mine up almost the whole time excpet inside as it seemed really low!

I think I blew up our desktop last thursday, so I am on this dino laptop now, It takes so much longer then our dino desktop thoe. ANyway The boys and I will be going down on Nov 29 and then Don will come down on Dec 1st. But we couldn't get a flight out on the 16th tell 5pm. I think I would like to take the boys to the space shuttle to look around, Its eather that or get a room at the airport for the day. But not sure how to do the space thing. Also I was thinking about finding a tour guide to do Tulum instead od disney, not for the cost but the time, as I would like to spend some time at Playa on the ice iceburg and the tramp. Does anyone know if we would have time after the tour? DS8 is home again today with a soar throat, off to the doc later. Well better go catch up on some other threads now. Mum of two pirates

Brenda (Mum)--
Your plans sound similar to ours. I've read threads about the ruins that said Disney's tour to the ruins was really short, 1/2 hour travel time each way and only at the ruins for an hour. The link I found on the threads was:
http://www.chacchobenruins.com/ I haven't looked it up yet though.

We're also taking the last flight out on Saturday so that we can go through Kennedy Space. I haven't figured out how that works yet either.

pixiedust: to everyone to cure either sick family or sick computers!!

Lisa--I don't think I could go 24hrs without my computer let alone I'll weekend!! I definately be :badpc: and having withdrawl. Glad your'e back to help us less knowledgable cruisers.

:wave2:

hi everyone. seems like ages since i've had a free moment to get on the boards. just needed a fix. you guys are my sanity right now. i have parents upset at us because we're changing stuff for this carnival and i have parents upset at the stuff we aren't changing. i've had several emotional breakdowns and i could use another right now. every little thing is upsetting me and i'm wondering why did i ever volunteer to do this. so...just giving myself a little pitty party...i'll eat some cake and ice cream, soak in the tub and pour myself a big glass of wine and i'm sure i'll feel better. thanks and good night. (....i feel like eyore...woah is me!..sorry for being a downer!)

You will need to get a rental car to go to Kennedy. We went last year and it was interesting. I'm not sure that little ones would enjoy it alot though. Older kids probably would. We were all adults. It costs a bit also, so be aware of that.
