Sweet dreams everybody,
I tried to make my signature smaller today with no luck. I also tried to make the coundown clock go faster but it only moved by one day.
Catch ya later.

Hi everyone! I guess I really need to get caught up on this thread! Hope everyone is well - not much new here...just seem to be working a little playing here and there and more working.
Our pool is still not finished! I am wondering if it will ever be??!!

I still have a couple of goodie bags from the last cruise that I haven't unpacked yet! Mostly stickers and pirate stuff for the kids...oh and who ever cruised last year I have a Mickey head name magnet for you! I will try and not leave them in the car this year...well it was really DH's fault. He was supposed to bring Samantha's backpack!

is anyone planning on the summer 07 cruises? I am waiting anxiously for the announcement as well as to hear from my TA at how much they cost!

This is Amy, John's wife...

V- We would love to do the cruise in summer of '07 and are waiting to see prices.

We have been reading your trip report...what a hoot! I can't for more! Is the German boy still calling your sister? We will actually be at Disney in May when you are there. We are staying at Old Key West... I know you just didn't feel it there!! We are staying at OKW and then driving to Vero for a 4 nights.

Well better get back to work!!

Mrs. Mork - Glad you and Dr. Hugs had a great trip! It is so nice to get away in the winter.

My husband and I had an exchange student from Mexico live with us for a year before we had children and he sent us an email yesterday that he will be visiting us the week before Easter. He has his plane ticket. We are all so excited!!!! We have not seen him in almost 3 years! I just wanted to share our exciting news!!! :cheer2: :woohoo: :bounce:

Hey all--
It feels like I haven't posted forever. Glad everyone had a good weekend. Angie, Dennis, and Brack it sounds like you guys had a great time at DL. Isn't it nice to know that all high school kids aren't bad?

I know everyone is anxiously awaiting the "news" today. It will be fun to watch the chatter.

It is spring break week here, we woke up to 2+ inches of snow and it's still snowing. DD is happy, she can go out and play and not be bored like yesterday. She nearly drove me insane before noon.

Tonight is the Lion King!!! We are VERY excited. Need to figure out where we are going to eat before the show.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Angie and Dennis,
I see azaleas, and my dogwoods have little bitty buds on them. I think you are going to hit Stone Mtn. just in time. Here's a new thought. They have a small attraction at the park called the "Antique car and Treasure" museum. It's poorly advertised but lots of fun. The "Treasures" include many mechanical musical players. (Think early IPOD) We are talking juke boxes, early record players, organs, and a huge wagon style Calliope. As I recall it is still in working order. The only trouble is, I haven't been in there since pre DH and that's quite a long time. Things may or may not have changed since then. You might want to ask at the gate. Oh yeah, they have cars too.

Lisa,
Thank you for the link. The information on Pixel sizes was really helpful. Hopefully I can fix it in a day or so.

I spent some time daydreaming about the Med cruises but came back to the same reason I'm not interested in Tokyo, or Paris Disney. Why travel all that way for an American experience?

No interest in the med here...the ports of call look way too vigorous for a family like mine with younger aged children. While I would love to do a repo cruise, the timing isn't good and the pricing is ridiculous. You could almost do two 7 day DCL Caribbean cruises for the about cost of the repo and you' d have a lot less airfare in the end. But I think it's great that DCL is trying new itineraries and lucky be those that can try it!!! :thumbsup2

TOP!!
Patsy, thanks for the info. I did see the auto museum on their website, but it did not mention the music stuff. DrHug will LOVE that. We will have to put that on our wish list of things to see there. So good to hear the dogwoods will be blooming also. Brack, I think DrHug will have to take his big bag again on this trip to Atlanta. (think camera, not DW! :lmao: :rotfl: )

I did send for a quote from DU today for the 14 transatlantic. I requested a cat 12. I only really need a blanket in a lifeboat if they will just get me a price DrHug can manage. Hmmm...he could work more days! :smooth: :rolleyes1

Well, as you can see, DW now has more time to be on the DIS than me . . .

We are both absolutely dreaming about the possibility of those Med or repo cruises - for those of you DVC'ers, they also have a DVC points chart available, and you can make the reservation 24 months in advance. For us it would just about burn two years worth of points - would it be worth it? That will be the dinner time discussion around here for some time to come - at least until April 4th.

Too bad though, no stops in Greece, but this could be an opportunity to visit Greece AND sail on the Magic in the Med - a vacation of a lifetime!! I still haven't counted the coins in the big change bank in the bedroom - maybe I should start rolling quarters now.

Lisa, about that dream . . . did you happen to have any mushrooms with your dinner that night? And if so, do you have any left? :rotfl2:

I had "Good Dog 1" class tonight with Bad Dog #1 - she can join your "bad girl" club "V". One step forward, two steps back.

Nice to see everyone is still jumping in now and then. With DM in the hospital and now in an assisted care facility, and school board stuff and my never-ending negotiations, it has been tough to play around on the web and visit.

John

No, John...no mushrooms that night. LOL! At least I don't think so...
No, I had mushroom on the burger Saturday night...not Friday. We were all up late waiting for DH to get home though. DD then insisted that she was not going to stay in her bed though...even though we tried three times to move her. As Amy would say...Jeez! ;) She kept jabbing me in the side with her elbow, knee, and foot.

You guys were right about Lion King!! It was a great show!! My DD was expecting a longer version of the AK show, it was in a way, but on a much grander scale. I think they really enjoyed it. We didn't get home until close to midight so I don't think we'll do much today.

The Med cruises definately sound different than the Caribbean cruises. Lots of things to see and do. The repo cruises have LOTS of days at sea. Do you think they'll come up with new shows and activities so that people don't get bored?

I am positive they will have lots of fun stuff planned for the sea days on the repro cruises. I am SOOOOO waiting to hear from DU! :woohoo:

I don't know how anyone could get bored on the ship. ??? There is always so much planned that we don't get to go to. I would love to do more of the behind the sceens presentations.

I highly doubt we would do the European cruise. We want to cruise there when the kids get older...but I can't imagine you would ever get bored on the boat!

Yeah, being bored on the ship probably wouldn't happen. Just my pessimistic (did I spell that even close?) side coming through. Give me a lounge chair, a couple of good books, someone to clean up after me, and cook my food and I'd be good to go. How can anyone say it's overpriced? It's only overpriced if no one goes. I don't think there will be a lack of passengers.

Have a good night everyone!!

That's a good point. ;) Sure...ITA that we would all be too bored so be glad that we aren't booking a room on that cruise. ;) ;) ;)
