Exactly what goulash was in our midwestern home years ago!

Ken's mom is Hungarian - that is where ghoulash originated I believe - in Hungary. She makes it with egg noodles, braised beef - stew meat - not hamburger - various vegetables, like carrot etc. I love ghoulash.

Martha will be joining us on the cruise if anyone wants Hungarian cooking tips. She speaks Hungarian too.

I was doing some google searches for some healthy lunch recipes and I ran across this:

Baked potatoes are a good lunchtime choice, but it's better to leave out the butter, or just have a small amount. Healthy fillings include baked beans, cottage cheese and ratatouille. Try to avoid ready-mixed fillings that contain lots of mayonnaise, because these can be high in fat.

Who puts BAKED BEANS on a baked potato? That just sounds like one of the worst food combinations ever! For that matter cottage cheese doesn't sound too good either. :sad2:

Ah yes, but are there too many variables for Halloween ... loss of posting time, but increased sharing of photos??? How does Brandi's Halloween party affect things? What about Lisa's school carnival?

Carnival means that I wont be in chat or on the boards very much this weekend while I recover.

Becka, think about it this way...
it seems that lately, if you misbehave, Lisa puts you on a plane to Angie's house! :thumbsup2

Thanks for setting me straight, Marielle!!! :thumbsup2 Those applecrisps should be ready soon with the best apples in season, right? I'll drop the kids off at Kathryn's and hop on the plane myself. Yeah! That's it! I will save money that way too. :thumbsup2

Hey look guys....Lisa is home! :rolleyes1:

I was home at 3 but was dealing with the kids...which is why we weren't at the school working on the carnival. I needed a break to deal with them.

Here is a thread that should help you. :)

Lisa - I am glad the cruise is just around the corner. You have sounded very stressed out lately and it sound like you really, really need this vacation. :)

Let's see now. Angie lives in Oregon and I really liked the NW went I lived there. She does not have preschoolers roaming around her house so I am betting it is quiet. She cooks and I bet she would even understand my DIS addiction. I'm THERE!!!! :thumbsup2

Off to misbehave some more so I can get sent to Angie's!!! :yay:

Becka....I believe there is only dial up out that way? :confused3

I think they're looking for bananas and coconuts in the general population. They'll be sent back to the geek ward promptly, I am sure.

Now kids! Why can't I go anywhere without leaving you with supervision??? Come back home to our thread and leave those poor unsuspecting souls be. :goodvibes
