I probably should share with you my heartbreaking story. The last two times I have had to give Allie her eye drops I had to straddle her and pin her down in order to get the drops in her eyes. The whole time she is crying and screaming "No Mommy! No No Mommy! Mommy No!" It is just heartbreaking to me. I know she needs the drops and they will make her better but it is just so hard to hear because I know she thinks I am just hurting her for no real reason.

This actually sounds really good. I may have to find me a good recipe for one! :)

I am way behind in the posts, so this may be way OT, but so what - adds to the count =

Marielle is absolutely right on this. My family was many years ago PA Dutch, and even though they moved to Ohio and bought cars, the recipes remained. My grandmother taught me how to make REAL chicken pot pie - in a pot, no crust, homemade square noodles. the other stuff is Chicken pie (you don't call apple pie apple pot pie, after all).

I know what I will make this weekend.
So would you call apples cooked in a pot without crust apple pot pie??

For what it's worth....chicken pot pie has crust in our house. Chicken & dumplins has the thick noodles. We like it how they make it at Cracker Barrel. :thumbsup2

So Luke has been waiting for her to come out of the coma for YEARS and they are only going to bring her back for a short time? :sad2:
I don't think she wanted to come back for real. I think she is only doing 10 days. It was in one of those soap magazines...my SIL reads it.

My first thought was amazement that she could touch the floor like that at all .... it's been years since I could even come close to that. :guilty:

Yup, that is what I saw at the end on my teensy iPod screen. I am glad it was not on my bigger TV screen. I had to rewind to ask myself "did I just see what I think I saw"?

I am obviously too used to watching the Disney Channel for regular TV. I have the next episode DVR'd and am almost afraid to watch . . .

John1

Yeah, this show really surprised me. I was expecting it to be more X-Men-like but it's turned out to be really twisted and morbid. I'm curious as to how it's all going to play out but not exactly in a hurry to really watch it, ya know?

DS10 is a jalapeno and hot sauce fanatic! He loves jalapenos on sandwiches, hamburgers, etc. Eats pepperoncinis straight from the jar and puts Red Hot sauce on chicken nuggets, eggs, etc. He has a stomach of steel I tell ya.

That's so funny....I love hot/spicy.....pepperoncinis are my fave - I won't tell ya'll what I put them on though!

John and my second date....(our first was a Yankees/Philly's game ---- YUCK) anyway, we went to Hooters for - wings - and I kept putting hot sauce on, then he did and then it was a competition.

Well I don't lose well at all! I could not tell you how many pitchers of beer we went through. Tears were coming out of both of our eyes but no one was giving in. We went through the jar at the table.

I did end up winning.....although Johnny may tell you differently.

I really must hit the hay.

Is someone going to figure out how many posts we actually did today? I guess we have to wait until midnight...but it should be interesting.

I have enjoyed playing my part in the posting frenzy. Have a good night!

The banana surface is given in implicit form by the equation x^4 + y^4 + 1.5*z^4 + 2*x^2*y^2 + 2*x^2*z^2 + 2*y^2*z^2 - 94*x^2 + 78*y^2 - 94*z^2 + 1521 = 0.

Today was not a frenzy....it was just an average day for the 12/9 Geeks!

I'm reading a story from last week's Sunday Newspaper Parade...

the article says that Izzy from GA had a brother who died when she was 7...and her parents donated her brother's organs..and how hard it was.

She talks about how the storyline with Denny changed her.

Very interesting...

WOW! :(

Whats a dumpling?

and Luke and Laura? isn't that General Hospital?

I had avery Bad Girl cousin whom I spent my summers with and she always watched GH!

V - A dumpling is like boiled dough. I don't really care for it very much but my Mom used to like to make chicken and dumplings which is kind of like a chicken pot pie filling mixed in with this boiled doughy dumplings. I think it is a bit of a Southern thing.

and Grey's watchers....the breast girl....that was Vanessa (love that name) from Six Feet Under!

::yes:: I think I will warn those on the thread for the following cruise. It only seems fair that they not try to get there before, um, say midnight!

That's only fair. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:
